Samuel L Jackson playing Nick Fury is actually a legal matter, as they used him as an inspiration for the character without asking him, they found a legal agreement in which only he can play the character is it had to make a live-action appearance

I'm sad none of the X-Men made it on to here. I like that Kitty Pryde became a formidable hero without being possessed by a ninja. I liked that Colossus had a gay subplot and that his super strength was due to taking a drug, basically showing that no one is immune to having a darker side and anyone can make themselves a hero in spite of that. I liked that Nightcrawler moved past his homophobia and that his appearance raised the question of discrimination amongst mutants due to their appearance. And I liked that Professor X was more morally dubious and that his past came to haunt him more than once despite his best intentions.

Reading through Ultimate Spider-Man, I would always be excited for the introduction of a villain with whom I was very familiar like Venom, Carnage,or the Hobgoblin. I liked their Ultimate incarnations well enough,but was always let down in one way or another. Conversely, I would think an upcoming storyline was going to be boring if they featured characters I was less familiar with like Hammerhead or Silver Sable,but I was always surprised by how much I would enjoy the stories they were featured in.

Hope no one gets salty cause it's my opinion but the story of miles becoming spiderman was a really great idea but it worked best when he was in his own world not in the main continuity. The whole idea of destroying the ultimate universe just to put him and a few others in it was kinda lazy. Now he's being treated like he's the robin/nightwing to Peter's batman, which is kinda lame also as we see there running out of ideas on what to write with him
