Another great twist I would say is at "Army Of Ghosts" when they build up that something Cybermen related is in the sphere and then at the very end the Cybermen says "the sphere is not our" and everyone gets chills, only for the sphere to open up and you realise it could've have been anyone else.

So I haven't actually seen Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead at that point. If I had, it probably would've thrown me off. So I only had the information that this is a show of time travel, that the Doctor and River meeting out of sync, Amy guessing that River is the Doctor's wife and River smirking at Amy. Meeting past/future family members is such an overused time travel trope that it was a fairly easy conclusion to come to. Although the whole Silence/kidnapping/Mel part was so convoluted and made almost no sense, but I was right.

Season 4 is almost perfect, there is only one decent episode, where the other seasons usually have 4 decent episodes or even more.

The writing is amazing, the score has never been better and Tennant and Tate's chemistry is through the roof. What some people don't remember when Five regenerated into Six, at the end of Caves of Androzani, Five says "It feels different this time." I think that's why the Sixth Doctor is manic when he gets paranoid and attacks Peri, thinking she's some evil spirit. I heard that after the end of "The Stolen Earth", people in the UK were abuzz about why the new Doctor hadn't been announced, 10 was obviously regenerating!! I'm surprised that little surprise wasn't number one.

Well a good twist will always have hidden clues pointing towards it which the average viewer misses but someone on a forum will ALWAYS find. That’s no fault of the writer - a shock reveal from nowhere is not remotely as satisfying so there had to be clues. It had been hiding in plane sight all along with the names but so subtly done. It was great

10: Unexpected. 9: Unexpected. 8: Expected by anyone with a good eye who watched trailers, as Grace wasn't seen in any trailers for the season so to the wider audience it wasn't surprising because she hadn't been advertised as a main character, and given how headstrong she was, she wasn't going to stay on earth while Ryan and Graham went off to space, so her death was pretty obvious. 7: Didn't watch the episode but by the given context, it looks unexpected. 6: I would say unexpected, but I would also say bad writing. 5: Unexpected. 4: Unexpected, and a damn good twist. 3: Unexpected, and one of the best twists of the show. 2: Unexpected. HM1: Most likely unexpected, but not enough context for me as I haven't seen any classic who. HM2: Again, probably unexpected, but not enough context. I see you tried to dip into older material but you still missed the mark. Adric's death is a legendary shocking moment in the series run. I remember sitting and staring as the credits rolled because I had been so sure the doctor would somehow save the little turd. But no... Adric go boom. I was gobsmacked. Also, the fifth Doctor's death was widely considered pretty shocking. And Perry's death was many times more shocking than Six's violence. That was shocking but her death was just too much. When Teegan left the Tardis was also shocking, but let's face it, death has the edge. I guess y'all just need a list of shocking deaths. Limit it to the current run and you'll still have too many to choose from.

War Doctor was a big one for me, but not the bit you pointed out. That actually came in the little short where Paul McGann (8) regenerated into the War Doctor. OMG! Our whole numbering system has been off!? Tenet isn't 10, he's 11! OMG, Smith is 12 and that's the last regeneration! Are they going to end it all!? Biggest one for me was when that little girl that was in the astronaut suit regenerated! At least the War Doctor thing left me thinking and wondering. I had no clue what to make of a little girl Time Lord - not even an inkling. I just stood there with my jaw dropped and thought, "I love science fiction!"

the original regeneration should have been higher up the list, back in the day this was absolutely shocking, and if it didnt work the show never would have seeing the great one at the end of day of the doctor seeing all of the doctors flying in together to save Gallifrey rose at the end of turn left the opening of season nine (who this boy is!) 11/12 regeneration (almost instant, but then he burnt most of the energy destroying daleks and healing his body) the doctor donna was a shock the fact her mind and body couldnt hold it unfortunately wasnt much as he annoyed me Adrics death my thoughts on the subject, in no particular order
