This is a great list! We've been doing our best to keep some of the "micro" species in stock, it seems like people are really trending towards wanting to keep it a small setup. The pea puffers especially are popular.

Thanks man, for the vid, you’ve helped me stock half of my tanks, I’ve been really enjoying bumble gobies, anchor cats, and least killi fish in a couple of my tens, I’m not sure the availability to you , but Pygmy sunfish are awesome, I’m still trying to find some for good price in states, a lot of native North American fish can chill in a ten with no heater, it kind of opens a whole new category I’m just learning about myself, keep up the good work dude

@@BlakesAquatics dang , even for me in northeast Pygmy’s aren’t too common, but I did get some Burmese rosy loach, that are small very interesting very different from the river loach, and ruby tetras and gold tetras are pretty underrated in my opinion, does us ship out any native fish to you guys, I just got into them and so hardy and easy

i have 7 white clouds in a 10 gallon with no heater and they are awesome and super cheap. the longer i’ve kept them, more of that deep red color in their fins and bodies pops out

One of my favorite fish i ever kept was a little gray lizard 🦎 hillstream loach, ill post a short of him so you can see how adorable he was R.i.p... old 📹 nothing better than to view hillstreams rip around, definitely one of my favorite fish to veiw, coral red pencilfish are awsome, expensive though at my lfs they were 25 bucks a peice but you get what you pay for, if your looking into getting pencilfish, i highly recommend getting a group of beckfords red pencilfish, for a 10G id go with 4-5 males, and atleast 6 females, but they amaze me so much, always in the middle of the water column, they thrive in lightly acidic water, and ive kept them for over a year now, and just love the simplicity, and they are not shy, they group up really nice, there peaceful, and extremely fun to view and feed, they peck on everything, its really funny but you got to watch sharp substrate because they will peck and miss there food, and bash there mouth, but there super cheap to 3.99 for one so you can get a big group for relatively cheap.. and alot of places and online shops have them... but loved this video, i like these top 10 videos 📹 bc it shows some cooler species and not just the old run of the mill type of fish, that gets old lol.... i would love to see you do more of these videos showcasing more unique species for stocking ideas! kzbin.infoid-fldbXdwI?feature=share

Want to see one of these lists that covers good stocking for an individual tank. Like from cleaners, centerpiece, top feeders etc and alternates that would all make for good companions in a tank. The lists often include many fish that are incompatible.

Thanks for another great video. It was very informative as usual. I have a question unrelated, but maybe you can give me some advice. I have snail leeches in my shrimp tank, and their breeding like rabbits....I have been picking some out. However, there are just too many. Ewwww. Now, are they a pest I need to get rid of? Hey yeah Ive had snail leeches before. They arent a threat but they are gross for sure. You can dose panacur 25 to get rid of them

Ole Dario Dario And Scarlett Badis are fussy to feed i hear. Pretty much only take live foods and nothing else. Great list of options here.

Yeh it's a bit of a pain but if you can get a culture of some sorts you should be alright I have a daphnia culture and my scarlet badis is happy with that
