Correct. I Worked at Whataburger in 2008-2009. Back then, it did have a secret Menu "Patty Melt,Peppercorn Ranch Chicken,A.I. Thick and Hearty, Monterey Melt)" but In 2012, All of these secret promo items became part of the menu under the "All Time Favorites Logo". Whataburger prides itself in "Just Like you Like it" Allowing you to customize your Burger anyway you'd like.

I worked at a Whataburger unit in Dallas, and knew of a couple of other that had red Powerade. Any unit can order either Powerade, as well. More current unit, that serves blue Powerade, accidentally ordered red, so we rolled with it for a week til we ran out of it, and then started selling the blue again.

Don't get me wrong, Southern Louisiana has great food, but I really crave good Mexican food, real BBQ, and a good ol' Whataburger from time to time. They have one in Baton Rouge, but I'm not driving 2 hours for a burger, no matter how much I miss it! My go-to was always a #5 (bacon cheeseburger) w/grilled jalapenos, lg. onion rings, and a lg. sweet tea. I tried the specialty burgers and the chicken, but I always ended up back with the classic. Whataburger is insanely popular here in Texas. I try going there after midnight, assuming everyone will be asleep by then, and instead find a full parking lot, a dozen cars lined up in the drive-thru, and a restaurant buzzing with activity. It's a little expensive for me though. The one item that tempts me is the Monterey Melt. It has two beef patties, two kinds of cheese, grilled red and Ancho peppers, grilled onions, and a creamy jalapeño sauce. The fries are great too, especially if you ask for white gravy to dip them in.

I tried the destin Florida location and to be honest it was night and day...even the other Texas locations outside of corpus don’t seem up to par...the A1 thick and hearty is best and for breakfast a sausage bob is where it’s at!

I'm originally from Texas, now living in northern Arizona. There are three things that I miss from there The Whataburger, that I really love, a local Mexican fast food restaurant, called Chico's Tacos, and a Mexican buffet restaurant called, Pancho's restaurant. Those are the only reasons I would go back for a visit. I wrote the Whataburger home office about opening a branch restaurant here in Flagstaff, but they answered that it was not possible at this time. They have some in Phoenix and Tucson, but not up here. Damn!

I actually just left from Texas to go back home. I used to live in the Austin area in round rock and on my way there I was going to stop at the one by the highway. Just when I was going to take the exit, they completely closed it off for construction. I almost had a meltdown after an already bad morning lol. I haven’t had whataburger in a pretty long time. I'm looking at the store locator on the company website. Florida does have Whataburger locations.They are all in the northern part of the state. Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Panama City and Pensacola all have at least one store. Jack in the Box would be a bit more of a commute. The closest one to you is in South Carolina.

A new burger joint has sprung up from Austin texas called hopdoddy, they make everything from their meat to their buns from scratch and local brewed beers as well and it alone wipes any other chain burger out of the league, it is a little more expensive of a burger but it is literally worth it. You can even get your burger rare or medium rare cause they grind all the meats in house as well.

The only thing that suckw about Whataburger is management and lack of good staffing. Seriously it's because of this that Whataburger takes too long. Which isn't good because we're still competing with places like McDonald's. Our Target time to get an order out is 5 minutes. 5 minutes we good. But with McDonald's or anywhere else 5 minutes means there's a problem. We seriously need better Management and a better system so we can shave minutes off our orders
