Well they are about to mix it up there is an episode comeing up called Act your age don't know when it will Premier but it sounds like something happens to Isabella and Phineas realizes that Isabella likes him I mean look up Act Your Age on Phineas and Ferb wiki then click on the song its a Phineas and Isabella duet and the song writers say the song will have the fan term Phinabella in it so something big is about to happen with Phineas and Isabella ( I don't know what is with my computer doing italics lol) so yeah when you read the lyrics you will understand why I am so excited for this episode

Personally I think Jake the Dog should have been mentioned. He basically offers Finn everything he needs like transport and help with a battles a such. He is also Finn's guardian, let's not forget Finn's only like 14? He may sometimes be a bit lazy but Finn is so energetic anyway they compliment each other. Also HIS POWERS he can stretch himself into any shape which could come in very useful. I would want Jake.

Heck, even Shego and Drakken can beat any of these "pairs". His plans never work and it's even stated in the KP show that she's the most "villain" of the villains, she could do major damage on her own, but she still sticks around with Drakken. Same for Ron, he fails all the time but is always there when Kim is in a jam.

Haha when I was in kindergarten I had a department store photo shoot that was Franklin themed, that ending brought on weird old memories xD If I could choose any sidekick, this is kind of a stretch, I think I'd go with the sentient Magic School Bus from the show of the same name. It can transform into any form of transportation in any shape or size, and is very lovable, loyal, and dependable!

Dowott boy I agree and disagree. Due to "Da Rules" and being a fairies they're obliged to follow them. Some useless rules 1- They can't help in competitions. 2- If anyone besides a fairy can't know that you're fairies exist. 3- They're obliged to grant wishes as long it's allowed in "Da Rules" even if it's world destruction or something bad, crazy or wild like that.

He's the sidekick that really does everything he can to help his partner and he (as well as Aladdin's gene) gives the humor you want in the movies.

Why? How does he...How do you give pegasus his own song without invoking awkwardness...I mean...This isnt a flock of them, its just one. Hercs who wouldd sing the song. Theres sort of an unwritten rule that one guy cant sing a song to another guy which pegasus is, unless its: A - Pertaining to a familial relationship B - A villain song (which can tie into C) C - GAY! The only viable on is C and...well that aint gonna "fly" for a disney film. Who would sing it really? Its a buddy song or a tribute. The whole buddy quality would take away from the rest of the story and there is no character in the story who can reasonably pull off a tribute. It just doesnt work.

Mushu definitely needs to be mentioned. Not only is he a great friend to Mulan, but he did help her when she needed it the most. Not including the times when she just wanted to mess with her. Another great mention would be Itchy, from All Dogs go to Heaven. He is one of those sidekicks that's all like "I don't know about this" and "Maybe this isn't such a good idea" but he's always there when Charlie needs a friend, and you can't help but to just love him.

No, not at all heck, I love Fluttershy! She's adorable she's nice and she has some hidden depth if you can look close enough, but she's not very useful in the show. Sure she's kind and good with animals but in the face of any danger non-animal related, she cowers. And when she does end up helping it's when her friends are near death. Now I want to remind you I am NOT against Fluttershy she is one of my favorite characters. I just don't think she belongs on this list.

I missed Mushu from Disney's Mulan on this list. Even though he starts out goofing off he eventually does save her from getting discovered at the lake but also moves the plot forward when he sends that fake letter and ulitmately - Mulan has the idea about using the rocket, but Mushu executes it. I know he's from a live-action film, but Jar Jar Binks is a useful companion. In The Phantom Menace, he is the key that gets Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan from A to B. He forms a bond with both Padme and Queen Amidala (who unknown to him and elses, are one in the same); whom he acts as encouragement to go back to Naboo and save it from the Trade Federation. Although he goofs up and gives up near the end, he at least fought in the battle. In Attack of the Clones, he is now an important member of the Senate. Even though he gave the villain complete control of the galaxy, Jar Jar's act made way for the ORIGINAL TRILOGY. Because of all the hate, he hardly had any time or action in Renege of the Sith (Gee, Thanks haters!). The Clone Wars also used him well.

My definite choice for a cartoon sidekick would definitely be Aisling the fairy from The Secret Of Kells. Smart and witty, can take the form of a wolf, has magic powers, can communicate with nature, and has an entire wolf pack to back you up in tough situations like Viking invaders (or the modern day equivalent). Plus she's just soo fuckin adorable. No brainer for this one.

I'm not sure simply being a flying mount is enough to warrant the #1 most useful slot. Especially since there are other flying mounts in cartoons with other uses. Appa for instance is not only also capable of flight, but can carry multiple people, can air bend, and has saved the Avatar group several times with a swat of his gigantic tail in the middle of a losing battle. Plus, "A sky bison is a companion for life" so, Appa fills the lifelong loyalty factor just as well as Pegasus.

You mentioned Genie, but I think an honorable mention should go to Carpet and Abu. Carpet because a) he can fly and b) he conveys all of his personality without making a sound. Abu was Aladdin's main man for who knows how long. He has Al's back from the beginning, helps him get what he needs to freaking *live*, and single-handedly rescues him from life imprisonment _twice_.

If you don't consider it anime (which I personally don't, but there are a lot of people that think any animation styles in relationship to Asia is anime) but Jade from Jackie Chan Adventures makes a pretty nifty sidekick. She's a bit of a mix of Scrappy and Penny in her effectiveness. Only setback was the fact that she sometimes caused about as much trouble as she helped her dear uncle out of throughout the series, which actually created the opportunity of making her a pretty well-rounded character by the final season.

I would suggest Lana Kane from Archer is a great sidekick. Even though she would clearly disagree that she's a sidekick. She's definitely useful to Archer and ISIS and the two of them make for great dialogue.

Well i do have to say it was really awesome and a major coincidence the this video happened to be uploaded on my birthday but i do have to say that the one cartoon character i would have as a sidekick would have to be bender from Futurama. for one thing we are both alcoholics but he would just bring a smile to my face every time he insulted someone

But then there was an explanation and I was thinking "Yeah, that makes sense". Weird exprience, you got me every time! Jake from Adventure Time, though you might have made this before that was even a show... also Hudson from Gargoyles, I know Goliath has the rest of the pack but mainly his sidekick is Hudson who acts as his mentor-somewhat father figure(even though they do not have parents) and no one can forget, Hudson is a badass in a fight. He already possesses the strength and know how, then + his age, you gain patience. Which some fights require.
