Thanks for the feedback. I used self tapping metal screws through pre drilled holes in the yellow tongue. I counter sunk the holes too.

Thanks for the video, great insight. We are using yellow tongue flooring for a hut on our property, after we've completed sanding the floor can we put a stain down prior to putting on the polyurethane? And would you need to put a primer on prior to applying a stain. Ideally looking for something like your bench top only a bit darker. Cheers!

I'm not an expert but I'd be looking at applying a sanding sealer first, it'll also help get an even stain.
