Ahh the decade where games went from prioritizing single player campaigns with interesting stories and hours of playable content, to focusing on multiplayer content that had to be paid to accessed on top of purchasing the game. pay to play became king as zooted 9 year olds ran up their parents credit card buying the latest skins, better weapons, and online play became a casino with loot boxes and other crap. truly a sad time for anyone without high speed internet in their home. games went from 20-30 hour campaigns to 10-15 hours max. campaign became boring after one play through and ads for online "events" and "double xp" flood the home screens.

Great list, I've played several of them, however, a strange thing happens to me: while the games in the previous lists I remembered the year of release perfectly, of these I get almost all of them mixed up, some released ten years ago, they seem more recent and vice versa...

The order was blasphemy for every year. The Batman games, Black Ops 2, The Spiderman games, Horizon games, Shadow of Modor were all too low in their respective years. The only year I agree with number 1 was the Elden Ring year and I didn't play the game but knew it was bad ass. Seen others play it.

It's actually not...maybe it should've been ahead of Street Fighter 6...But above any of the top 5 just don't see it...If anything Baldurs Gate should've been number 1 and then Zelda...Alan wake 2 and super mario wonders delivered flawlessly so did final fantasy we talk we basically talking 2 games that got a perfect 10/10 and 3 games that got a 9/10...spiderman 2 was great but it wasn't enough compared to that top 5
