Amazing finds! Arzachel has been at the top of my list for a long long time, one of my absolute favorite psych records! Happy new year! PS. You are so right with needing a little escape from the world sometimes, and your channel definitely provides that! For that I say thank you!

Happy New Year! Great presentation once again. I have in my collection: Rodriguez*, Joseph, Dschinn* (this is pronounced "gin" and is the alcoholic drink), Arzachel and Culpepper's Orchard*. (with the asterisk are my favorites). I will definitely add Paper Garden and Jody Grind soon.

I have to go with Culpeper. Loved that jewel since my older friend turned me on to it (rip) way back, among so many others. And I only bought the CD, can you imagine? And I saw it several times at the record fairs in Linköping in the 90s and didn't pick it up. The stupidity! Still need a clean copy. Or hell, even a craggly one! God fortsättning Jonas!

A great review. You prompted me to play my JODY GRIND albums after having them on the shelf for 30+years. I have an Australian First Step and UK Far Canal. This latter of their two is much better (truly outstanding) than the debut (which resorts to Johnny Be Good under a different title to fill the second side) though only the founder, keyboardist Tim Hinckley is on both. Even by then they were in the process of breaking up again]. I am not sure that your copy of WARHORSE has the correct swirl inner sleeve. I thought the black rimmed version was only for the Black Sabbath albums. Rodriguez is great - I have the Australian originals (once had a USA Sussex copy - lost it....) despite living in South Africa 1971-84. I presume you also have the second "Coming From Reality" . Not quite as good but still excellent. It is not widely known but the compilation "Rodriguez at his best" includes 3 tracks not on either of the first 2 studio albums. The searching for Sugarman docufilm is very misleading. He was well known in Australia and South Africa throughout the 80s and 90s. He released "Alive" in Australia 1981 and more live stuff in the 90s.
@SublimMedia2 күн бұрын
@@timholden3436 yes the documentary is definitely wrong in that sense. Creative freedom or whatever it is called 😀 Oh I did not know about the Sabbath inner. So many years collecting and I’m still learning. That’s the coolest part about this hobby. Everyday is school day! 😀

Some absolute beauties in that list. As for favourite I find that a difficult question to answer as that can change dependent upon my psychological and emotional mood. Right now I would probably plump for the Jody Grind but tomorrow who knows???
