The most dramatic thing I saw at a wedding was when one of the groomsmen passed out from the heat during the ceremony. It was a VERY hot day, no AC in the church, and they were all wearing tuxes. Poor guy dropped like a stone. But the other groomsmen AND the groom caught him, carried him to the vestibule, and a couple of them stayed with him. The groom ran back in yelling "We'll edit that part out of the video!". And went on to say his "I dos". As far as I know, they're still together nearly 30 years later.

Years ago, I went to a wedding of a co-worker. At one point, we heard a huge thud sound. It turned out a bridesmaid had locked her knees and she went down. They got her back up and feeling better and then continued the ceremony. The minister was speaking and the bride and groom were facing him. We could see their backs. Everything was fine, then the groom put his arm around the bride's shoulder, then it slid down to her waist, then he pulled her into him. She melted. She simply melted down to the floor. Unlike the bridesmaid who quickly fainted, the bride slowy slid down her groom's body as he tried to hold her up. As she slid down, her lipstick left a snail trail down the groom's white tuxedo shirt. He had to exchange shirts with one of the groomsmen for pictures. Like in your senario, it was just too hot up at the alter. Apparently, this was known to happen in this church, but no one told the couple. They later found out they were supposed bring a fan. I dare say, it was the most memorable wedding I've ever been too. 🙃

06:00 I actually have to tell a story about this, because my mother recently told me a story about her brother’s wedding, back in 1988, and it was honestly the most cliched sitcom/comedy movie wedding ever. It was like everything that could go wrong, went wrong. First, my mother, who was supposed to be a bridesmaid, got pregnant with me, and was too big for the dress by the wedding, so they had to substitute in one of the bride’s cousins (who I believe she hated), then they discovered that the cars they’d rented for the wedding procession had been in a car wreck a week earlier, and they were all totalled, then on the day they discovered that the bakery they’d ordered the cake from nine months in advance (apparently you need a minimum of 3-6 months) had completely forgotten the order so they had to settle for a display window piece, finally the weather in Queensland that year was unseasonably hot for spring, and completely unsuited for the very long, full coverage wedding dress that she’d wanted (I guess they were popular at the time) and had specifically chosen that time of year to suit. She was so uncomfortably hot and sweaty through the whole ceremony, that she’d had to change by the reception.

I was at a wedding where the couple didn't show up. The bride's mom had to tell every one they could go home, and the other parents were with her looking traumatized. I didn't find this out on the day, but later she, the bride, told me they both started panicking, and they started talking (on the phone), and they bolted. A few months later though, they actually did get married. Their minister carved out a little time after service, and married them. Their parents were there, and the minister's wife and kid. It was messy, but they're pretty happy with the results, they are very strongly against most aspects of the wedding industry now though.

Then he emailed us, told us he "didn't have peace in his heart" about doing our ceremony, and quit. We were horrified and thought we'd done something awful and wrong with our vows, had hurt and offended him in some way. Nope. Turns out that the pastor had an opportunity to take a vacation to Spain with his wife, and it was the same time as our wedding. Thanks, Pastor Asshole!

I've experienced many of these in real life. Couples leaving for the honeymoon. Groom being late because he was hungover from his bachelor party. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding that didn't include the "if anyone knows a reason these two shouldn't be married" line. Venue burning down, causing a change a few weeks before the date. (This one is happening as we speak.) I'm a musician and have been called less than two weeks before a wedding to bail somebody out when their previous musician canceled on them. My mom's MOH showed up drunk, and ultimately knocked the cake on the floor. Oh, and my dad's divorce papers got lost/delayed. He had been legally separated for quite some time before he met my mom, they just hadn't actually filed for divorce. They thought they were going to have to do the ceremony without the legal aspects, and then do a courthouse wedding later, but the paperwork finally came through on the morning of the ceremony. And yes, I do know someone who was left at the altar.

I laughed so hard when watching this: #6: You can't plan (& hold) a wedding in just a few days - The Friday before Labor Day, 1985, my boyfriend & I picked his mother up at the airport as she was visiting. We told her that we filed for our marriage license that morning & planned to be married in December. She said she couldn't make it then; could we get married while she was up there? Figuring we had a month to throw something nice together, we agreed...to find out that she was leaving Wednesday! In 3 days, we arranged for a JP, got flowers, I set the music, my guy & his dad videotaped, my brothers & a friend took stills, I found the perfect hat & veil to go with a dress I had bought but never wore, my mother & a friend arranged a cold-cut buffet & wedding cake...and our license arrived 1/2-hour before the time the JP showed up on Tuesday evening. Boom. #4: Must something always go wrong? - At the time, I worked at a department store as a cashier supervisor. I had to work Tuesday morning, but my boss (an absolute sweetheart of a guy) arranged to have the rest of my shift covered so that I could leave early. Since I was the supervisor - aka "Keeper of the Keys" - I couldn't just leave. Wouldn't you know it, my cover never showed up! An hour later, absolutely frantic, I contacted my boss with the dilemma; he ordered a woman from another department (who, I might add, didn't like me) to take my keys so that I could leave. Oh, and I'm not going to go into detail about our cat almost attacking our friend who was taking photos. HM: Saying the wrong name - While neither my groom nor I said the wrong name, the JP called me by my husband's first name! Perfect for an honorable mention. Oh, and for the record, this September we will be celebrating our 37th anniversary...so it all worked out for the best.

I’ve been a bridesmaid in several weddings and something went wrong in Each and every one. 1) The hair salon we were booked at never opened the day of the wedding and we had to scramble to find another one to get us all in. The bride and us bridesmaids were 20 minutes late to the ceremony because of it. 2) The bride spilled punch all over her dress at the reception and that was pretty much the end of that day. Also the flower girl, who was 3 yrs old, spent the entire ceremony running all over the church. To make it more worse, the guy videoing it recorded the flower girl running around instead of recording the ceremony itself 3) The bride didn’t have a backup plan for her outdoor ceremony. Poured rain the night before and day of the wedding causing the ground to be too wet and muddy to have it outdoors. Spent an hour trying to find Anywhere to hold the ceremony. A local hospital let them use their chapel for 20 minutes. 4) The caterer for the reception (the food And the cake) showed up an hour and half late. The food was wrong and the cake was completely the wrong color. She ended up with a Complete refund. Their DJ also didn’t have things very organized so the music was hit and Miss. Plus the photographer had a broken camera lens with no backup lens and half the photos were blurry. 5) Our wedding was outdoors and it was Sooo windy that no one could hear the ceremony even with the speakers. Our hair looked a little wild in some pics too. Also, those who Did actually show up for the reception (30 people who rsvp’d never bothered to show up), mostly ate and then left. Maybe 20 people stayed for the music. We had so much leftover food that we made the remaining guests take as much with them as they wanted. 6) the bride had such anxiety that they spent a half an hour trying to talk her into going thru with the wedding. She went thru with it, but their relationship soon fell apart. 7) The wedding was so last minute that it took place at a park, after dark, quickly so they wouldn’t have to pay to use the park for the ceremony. The bride and I were also late because it took too long doing her hair and makeup. I’m done with weddings at this point! Lol

At my wedding we had a few issues before it started. One of my bridesmaids broke up with her partner the day before and neither came to the wedding along with a few friends who took sides not wanting to see the other person. Next day tons of rain happened, we had put up a tarp over the garden ceremony area earlier that week but the water started flooding in around where the equipment for mics, DJ, and band was set up. Nothing is more comforting when you are in your dress and have to stay hidden in that room and watch people run in and out trying to fix things. Father of ring bearer and flower girl runs in to find his keys and says, "I 'm running to Lowes to get a shock vac!" That became our wedding present from them hahaha. In the end the weather was upper 60s, no more rain, and not many noticed the missing bridesmaid thanks to us having 2 flower girls and 1 ring bearer. In the end my wedding was what I wanted it to be were it truly counted, with some crazy last minute hiccups.

I am always surprised that people don’t lose their wedding rings more than we think. It is such an easy thing to lose. Just taking it off in a public bathroom and forgetting it because your mind is distracted. I know Carrie wearing Adrien’s ring on a necklace was because she didn’t love him, but I loved that idea because I know I would lose it if I had to take it off. I am absent minded and forget almost everything. Also, rings fall off sometimes and you may never find them again. So why not wear it as a necklace so you always know where it is?

I disagree on number 9 the The original purpose of the line was to see if anyone knew any legal reason that the couple couldn't be married (e.g. one of them is already married to someone else, or the parties are related to each other, or one of them is underage) Modern wedding ceremonies tend to drop the line, mostly because of this trope - it's an invitation for some Stalker with a Crush to crash someone's wedding, and a few Jerkasses have been known to crash strangers' weddings and, upon hearing the line. But back then there was reason to use the line of Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace, due to there was in some cases where a person did have a reason to say 'I object.' True it may not make any sense nowadays but like i said the line was to see if anyone one knew any legal reason as why they shouldn't get married, so in that sense it DOES MAKE SENSE.

They were in the seat next to me and as we were getting out, the groom’s sister yells “I got the rings.” Turns out she only grabbed the bride’s ring. Panic and chaos ensued when we couldn’t locate the groom’s wedding band. Called the limo driver and he couldn’t find it. It was chaos. After the ceremony (used another married man’s band for the ceremony), the limo driver calls back saying he did find it. The judge asked the "does anyone object" question when I got married but it was a joke. We eloped and there was no one else there (our state doesn't require a witness to get married)

I do not like it when weddings get too expensive and the bride and groom have parties that they forced to have. If I ever get married, I would want to have a wedding at my local city hall with just a few guests.

I’m curious… Is it actually possible to plan a wedding in just one day? The Proposal and an episode of B99 made me had that question.

The groom and I had zero cell phone service at the park the wedding service was intended, and the parks service insisted someone be there at 8 am to hold the spot this was when the wedding took a dark turn that should have been a sign. The hundreds of uninvited yellow jackets began to invade the breakfasts the groom and I bought which later grew into billions of yellow jackets, then the weather changed to 114 degrees outside that day, the groom went to pick up the photographer and the wedding cake in my car and the car died when he was driving back and last but not least, in the end I fell into diabetic shock after the ceremony.

I always found wedding crashers an incredibly inappropriate film. I know I sound like a sour puss but the story just never rung true for me…..

I was alittle compared. I just look good I didn't want go home so I wanted to crash wedding. On May 4 2018 ok but I didn't do it because I thought I being going jail if I did that

tropes are tropes are they supposed to happen no there not some people look at them like an omen but they're not have cold feet or doubts think it through or just rant to someone who cares don't bottle it but bride wars the movie kind of like these situations but it's all about love a cherishing moment in mind soul and heart don't let fear take over

i Pick Star Wars The New Girl In Town and The Musical On Wedding ending Scene But There was still hope Despite the rules of the Jedi Order. Emily and Branden On Wedding day On Earth. Whatever the war was to bring, they would face it Together Happily Ever After Long Before Movie Release yet sound like a familiar Star Wars The Prequel Trilogy Star Wars episode - 2 Attack of the clones.
