To be fair on cow milking laws my oma once told me that women back in the day could potentially induce a miscarriage (or in other words a “natural” abortion) by drinking unpasteurized milk. Maybe that’s why milking someone else’s cow became a thing on top of other reasons to steal milk

To be fair, with the McDonald's lawsuit, there weren't warnings on the cups at the time the accident happened. It's because of that lawsuit that everybody started printing "may be hot" on their coffee to-go cups.

Plus, the coffee was being stored at an incredibly high temperature. There's a documentary about this lawsuit that I recommend. Note: initially she adked for coverage of her medical bills and was denied. That lawsuit probably protects more people than we realized.

When something is boiled it doesn't take a genius to know it's hot. My coffee maker has one temperature it sits at. I drink mine black and so I know it's gonna be extremely hot so I ask for ice cubes cause as an adult I'm able to think for myself.

I think the reason for not milking someone else's cow comes from the hippy era. There was a lot of hitch-hiking and the hippies would stop and get free milk for their breakfast. Hence the law. Only my opinion because I lived through the 60's.

The lady only sued McDonalds bc the coffee was insanely hot at 200 degrees or something stupid and this was back before the warning was actually on the cup. She asked them to just pay her hospital bills but McDonald’s refused until she sued and won. She won bc the coffee was WAY HOTTER than it ever should have been.

The woman who sued McDonald's about the coffee actually had a good case regardless of how she was holding the coffee, thats why she won. They were serving it at ridiculous temperatures and if i recall they also had several complaints of people being burned before they were eventually taken to court for it

If you want to make a video about weird regulations, you should try the military and the ways you can face various forms of serious punishment for violations. You cannot change a flat tire on your car in a parking lot. You cannot unload a car during the night time. You cannot leave a window open during a rainstorm, even if you're not there in the barracks. You cannot go ashore from a ship, unless you are wearing a shirt with a collar, tee shirts are not allowed. You cannot cough or sneeze when in formation. You cannot fall asleep in a classroom. Only authorized personell can change flashlight batteries.

you need to do more research on the coffee lady, she had 3rd burns her labia fused together, to put that in perspective, I was burned across my chest from the radiator on my van , it was bad, but not nearly as bad as what that woman went through, I only had second degree burns , I drove myself to the hospital and home with my 2 year old refusing pain medication for that reason, this woman was hospitalized for 8 days , McDonalds ran a smear campaign against this woman
