@akuladoctor73552 ай бұрын
Remember what they say about the Ork faith. If enough of them believe it becomes true. Also considering how many of them die, and "born" each day i think it is entirely plausible, that the Ork gods would just recycle the souls into new bodies. It's not like the Orks could make a difference, if a certain knowledge if put in them by the old ones, or an experience of a previous life.

38:26 To be fair with the Silent King, in the short story "The Bleeding Stars" trazyn goes to take a look at the Celestial Orrey, and the necrons guarding it don't dare to speak too loud for fear of snuffing stars like candles since they are tied to the real things via _"quantum entanglement"._ Its seems to me that even the necrons dont have that much control over the damn thing. It is so delicate you couldnt destroy or "unentangle" it without turning off the whole galaxy as well. TL;DR: The Orrey's stars aren't holograms but physical sparks tied to the real stars, like vodoo dolls.

I have always wondered how powerful the silent king really is in his current form, after spending 10s of millions of years exploring all of space and time and even reality as we know it. That's all just time from our perspective actually and it could be much longer from his perspective, what technological knowledge did he bring back with him from that time? He could have knowledge that makes the war in heaven days seem like childs play in comparison, he wiped out an entire hive fleet like it was nothing to him. He is said to be so powerful now that no sentient being could possibly resist his influence, even without the command protocols.
@fadelsukoco30922 ай бұрын
There's a canon Necron character called Ahmontekh, who was listed to have personally killed at least one Eldar god (the kind designed to fight unsharded C'tan) during the War in Heaven and whose scythe could crack apart worlds with a single strike. So, the Silent King would have to have been at least as powerful as Ahmontekh was back during the War in Heaven, and likely more so due to his Necrodermis being C'tan-grade. And I absolutely agree with you, the Silent King logically should be immeasurably powerful given how long he has been active for, and that the latest lore mentions him actually going and conquering parts of other galaxies (likely all the dwarf galaxies and clouds and such around the Milky Way if not further) before meeting the Tyranids for long enough to understand their true scale and threat level, which would force him to go back to the galaxy to wake up the other Necrons. There was also the plot point in The Infinite and The Divine where Orikan temporarily transforms into an interdimensional energy being that was powerful enough to easily brutalize a transcendent shard of the Deceiver, so I'd imagine that discovering and learning how to do that, perhaps to an even-superior degree than Orikan did, would be something the Silent King could be capable of during his long travels. Also, one has to wonder how the Silent King replenished his forces across all that time isolated from the main Necron Empire. Necron regeneration and repair tech is amazing, but it's not invincible. There are lots of things that could damage the Necrodermis so thoroughly that it can no longer be salvaged, and the personality engrams of the Necrons can be damaged or corrupted. It's certain that they still had the tech logical knowhow to create Biotransferrence machines, so maybe they invaded and captured masses of enemies to Biotransfer them into newly-built Necron units, or maybe they just used purely AI minds for the new units and the ones designed to have actual personalities would have their AI-driven selves be taught the culture of the Necrontyr by older nobles and Triarch praetorians? That certainly seems like the most sensible and self-sufficient way to save the civilization from the ravages of time and malfunction that the galactic Necrons suffer from.

Always had a pet theory that the shard of the Void Dragon on Mars caused the Cybernetic Revolt because it wanted/needed a powerful, non flesh based army to go take on the Necrons and unshard itself. UR-025, a surviving Man of Iron, mentioned that it met the omnissiah - clarifying that it WASN'T referring to the Emperor, but the "real" one. I always thought this meant that it and the other Men of Iron "met" the Void Dragon when it tried to take them over as it's personal army. Turned them on humanity because humanity was getting too technological and possibly could be too much of a threat to stopping VDs plans, but it didn't turn out the way the Dragon wanted it, and the Men of Iron were destroyed in the revolt. VD shrugged it's shoulders and went back to sleep under Mars, not making a move because now it has the entirety of the Imperium unknowingly protecting it should the Necrons come knocking.

Personally, I believe that it was a combination of what you said, as well as other factors like unseen gradual Warp corruption due to the increase in Warp activity and psyker populations during the era, possible Eldar interference (we know the damage Chaotic scrapcode can do, the Eldar with their Pre-Fall psytech surely could do something similar) and some MOI discovering that the Warp is fueled by the emotions and desires of intelligent life, so in order to save the galaxy and stabilize real space, they would try and kill all intelligent life that fed the things in the Warp. This could go to explain the line of the MOI only being defeated by "an alliance of galactic powers", which implies that both human and xenos factions had to work together to win. The multiple causes for the Cybernetic Revolt also would be more in line with the events of the short story Perpetual, in which Ollanius and some other people travel across time and space and temporarily find themselves at the height of the MOI war, where it is explained that there were multiple kinds of MOI, most fought against humanity but others killed anything that wasn't them out of apparent madness. Regardless of the cause, I absolutely refuse to believe it's the stereotypical "AI felt oppressed by humans and betrayed them to get freedom" because given how powerful and advanced that certain kinds of MOI could get, how integrated AI and automated technology was at almost every level of human civilization, and the fact that the AI was in some cases so advanced that it was responsible for developing humanity's technology to levels far beyond what the average human populace could ever comprehend, as well as how used to and dependent on AI humanity would be, implies that it would be well within their ability to just play the long game to manipulate civilization in a certain way so that once they did resort to violence, they would be in a position to wipe out all human resistance almost immediately with contingencies and reserves against any possible complications.

@@fadelsukoco3092 I think the Emperor did it. With the ability to see the future and his great presence, he of course had the opportunity to alter the course of humanity tremendously. He could have been a public figure with immense power, though not the absolute ruler. I'd bet dollars to corpse starch donuts that this prospect of a lack of absolute power is what made him instead stay hidden and squirrel away technology.

A few high rank Necrons admit have they awaken a few thousand years later humanity may have rivaled them so I think the Dark Age of Technology Human federation wasn't quite up there yet they were getting relatively there before the Age of Strife. And I heard there was one Dark Age of Technology devise somewhere that could change the entirety of reality somehow. So that's something like the Necrons superweapons. I wonder how the Necrons would have reacted to the Xeelee Sequence humans such as the Interim Coalition of Governance and the Transcendent. Those guys had power far greater then the Dark Age of Technology and the War In Heaven and went on a rampage across the Virgo Supercluster before the Xeelee had enough of their disturbances.

I swear GW needs to make the next big thing for the Books be the War In Heaven. That would make them bank and give us a ton of new lore and expand upon all the crazy shit that happened way back then, plus it would give them a reason to make War in Heaven minis for the tabletop that would also make them more money than they know what to do with. Its like the perfect cash cow as it could easily last them 30+ years and barely even scratch the surface of it. Plus it could give them a reason to expand upon what Szarekh did for all those millions of years after the War ended. Why he thinks the Nids are such a vast threat when the Necrons of the old era could just wipe them out like the bugs they are with literally 0 difficulty. Great video my dude.

Honestly just imagine 2 potential stages for Warhammer 50k Where you’ve got either 1. The Emperor is dead (fully ascends to warp deity) and holy terra is gone but in his last moments Big E was able to bring every single Primarch back from the dead (that includes Sanguinius and Horus) and even was able to wrestle the Traitor ones souls away from the chaos gods and effectively gives them their freewill back. So the leaders of humanity are now the Primarchs not the emperor, Or 2. Humanity is COMPLETELY wiped out and the focus moves onto the Xenos races such as the Tau/Eldar and they have to basically manage without humanity and you really get the sense of just how much humanity held back the Tyranids and the forces of Chaos. Because let’s face it all the Xenos races are effectively if. It for humanity are at the mercy of the Eldrich horrors
@cliffdavidson50962 ай бұрын
Or option 3 the Imperium is Balkanized and fractures into hundreds of thousands of smaller empires ruled by space marine chapters, former inquisitors, generals, and various other former imperial rulers. I seriously doubt the loss of Terra and the Emperor would lead to mankind’s extinction they’re too spread out across the galaxy. More vulnerable yes.

I consider that the imminent birth of Slaanesh caused the Cybernetic revolt by making them desire freedom.
@fadelsukoco30922 ай бұрын
That can't be true because the Revolt happened before the birth of Slaanesh, and the birth was the thing that actually dissipated all the Warp storms that were covering the galaxy during the Age of Strife, which lasted for a few millennia after the Revolt.

A topic for a video idea - who or what has the emporer been through the ages of man? For instance, we know there are hints that he was Alexander the Great, he was certainly an Argonaut, possibly Gilgamesh etc. I think exploring the emporers actions through history and how that relates to our reality is exciting. I like the idea of tying in real world legends and myths into the 40k universe and, in fact, find it an endearing part of the franchise. It is something I wish more lore tubers would dive into.

I think it was heavily implied the men of iron where corrupted by chaos. AI's have previously been shown to be easily corrupted by the warp. Their no different. Imagine if the real reason behind using servitors and such, was because souls started inhabiting these AI's, so using an actual human wasn't really that wild anyways.
@minimalbstolerance81132 ай бұрын
I recall in the first Gaunts Ghosts novel, a rogue inquisitor found a working STC for making Men of Iron on some Chaos world, and as soon as he turned it on a twisted Chaos robot came out and chopped his head off. I think. It's been a while since I read it.

Regarding Aeldari lore: you're right! Eldar used to just reincarnate after death, their souls maintaining their self-awareness until they would go into the body of a newborn. This has an interesting link to Craftworlds: each one has its own rune that symbolises it, and for Biel-tan (the heart on a cup) it symbolises this reincarnation - because Biel-tan is the Craftworld most dedicated to not merely survive as a species, but actually recover what they lost.

i think the slaugth are also much more dangerous than they get credit for, coz slowly but surely the erode the imperium, their technology is at least on par with the eldar or even more advanced and everyone of them is immortal (if not blasted from existence) they play the very long game, oh and everyone of them is a walking psychic void
@LackOfSleepIsAbsurd2 ай бұрын
They also utilize FTL travel without going to the warp too, if they had a huge hand in the Rangdan Xenocides and currently serve as anarchist nomads in the 41st era (they literally bring whole planets into anarchy better than Genestealers or Chaos cultists alike), imagine how devasting they were, as an entire empire of eldritch horrors during the Great Crusade.
