Genuinely think that little girl in Tzeentch's maze was just that... a little girl. It always reminded me of that scene in Star Wars, when Obi-Wan couldn't find Kamino and a toddler pointed out that someone had obviously fiddled with the archives, with Yoda chuckling in the background. Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is...

I think the little girl is meant to respresent us... the readers/players... we know all the answers and the route to the middle because we have to... we have to know what happens at each gate, the answer to each riddle and what is in the middle of the maze... its sort of wall breaking... We are represented as a child because we dont realise what we are delving into... the horrors we are toying with just for fun... we are innocent of our own ignorance...

Here's an alternative interpretation of Tzeentch's yellow brick road: it was a normal human girl who solved it. No disguises, no tricks, just a particularly imaginative child, a dog, and a lot of luck. Tzeentch's essence is hope and change. He can't ever construct a maze that is genuinely impossible to solve, there always needs to be the faintest of hopes to pull through. He's also self-defeating, he can't ever succeed in a decisive way because if he ever reaches his goals, he'd stagnate (and that is worse than death for the god of change). Lastly, he's not necessarily happy with these properties: it is in his nature to sabotage himself while hating the fact that he can be sabotaged. It would be entirely on-brand for Tzeentch to create the harshest of possible riddles for sorcerers and his own daemons, only to overlook a massive security vulnerability that lets some harmless child to enter it by accident and genuinely earn her way out of it. Tzeentch saying "no, it was secretly the Emperor of Cegodeceiver" is, as the kids say nowadays, pure cope.
@weshammer4 ай бұрын
This is my favorite interpretation of this. That there is no greater mystery, it wasn't the emperor in disguise or some other deity. Just that a simple innocent child that hasn't yet been beaten down by the grim dark future like everyone else, was something that tzeentch couldn't comprehend 😂

It was literally just a little girl being asked impossible questions like "how do you fit a whole giraffe into a refrigerator?" and the girl answered as only a child can: "You push it inside, dummy." The demon sat there and had to concede that the girl was technically not wrong. So the girl got access to the library. And the only thing she wanted to know was "what is mummy getting me for my Emperor's Day present?... Oh, okay. Yes, I'm ready to go home now. That's all I wanted to know." Hence why Tzeentch absolutely flipped out on the demon who let her through.

One theory about the girl in the maze I've heard is quite interesting. She wasn't a god or a deamon or anything. She was a completely normal human child. The one who beat Tzeentch's crystal maze, I think, as it would insult him the most, that the little girl was just that, a little girl. Someone who got lost and found herself at the 1st golden arch. A light of innocence in a sea of rolling madness and a storm of writhing desire for knowledge. Someone pure enough without the desire for knowledge but still child like curiosity Adition: I think their is a chance that the Black Reef may end up bringing in Lizard Men to 40k (or 50k at this rate) as a potentially devolved sub race of "Old Ones" that would likely refer to the Slann from Age of Sigmar. I want to think that the smarter you are the harder the imposible maze becomes. Wild theory I feel like the little girl that bested the maze would have been the star child. The star child (I feel) is the human portion of the warp personified and the small dog could have been the Emperor's compassion he shed, as the Emperor has been with humanity for so long this could have been given form in the warp (like everything else) as the dog, as he guided and protected humanityfor so long. Just as people keep dogs around to help, comfort and protect us.

I wonder if the little girl was actually the Changeling. It would be pretty on par of him to essentially troll Tzeentch by taking the most innocent and defenseless form he could: A little girl and her puppy. And then using that form, beat Tzeentch's maze. If it was the Changeling I bet he didn't even go into the library. He'd just beat all the challenges and then leave while laughing.
@lindahill61164 ай бұрын
This actually would make a lot of sense. The changeling would be able to fool the guardian, and he'd definitely know the answer to the riddles. A lot of people have already said it better than me, so I am just sputtering whatever comes to mind, but to me, the girl that passed through the Crystal Labirynth was just a regular girl. She was very lucky, she was likely brave, imaginative and smart, but she was just a child. But Children seem to have certain special traits in many stories (and I think in folklore too?), they have their specific purity, which would be how she could stave off the corrupting nature of Chaos, she was just too pure. Another thing is the nature of the Labirynth itself, it is said to have an infinite amount of possible paths, but only one correct one. A Child at the beggining of their life conceptually has an infinite amount of ways in which they may develop. An adult who has a goal, has lived a life already has only one path that they follow. The adult may only follow the path they have already been set into, which always ends up not being the correct one to get through the Crystal Labirynth, while a Child has an infinite amount of paths to choose from, which includes the correct path through the Labirynth. Dunno if it made sense, but just smth that flashed through my brain.

But while I still believe the small dog could be Leman it could be that the little girl is what remain of the Primarch's mother, who was said to be the most powerful Eternal after the Emperor himself. Maybe in her own way she has been looking after her sons in whatever way she could after the filth of the Wordbearers killed her. I seem to recall a throwaway reference in one of the Black Library Necron novels where a cryptek makes reference to a ridiculous OTT superweapon that fires planets across the galaxy several times faster than light, or something like that. My theory is that that weapon is what's in the Black Reef. It was left there at the end of the War in Heaven, and all the gravitational shenanigans are connected to fluctuations in its 60 million year old power core. As for the lizards, they were one of the Old Ones' last creations and have been following the order "Do not let the T-800 lookalikes into the quarantine zone and take back this ridiculous OP weapon under any circumstances."

Wouldn't even Tzneetch not know the true path out of his own labyrinth? All daemons are an extension of their respective God. Even if Tzeentch went through mind twisting lengths to prevent his own from knowing the true path through, a greater daemon of Tzneetch through potentially equal mind game fuckery could become aware of the knowledge by ways of accessing the knowledge unknowingly through Tzneetch and their connection. We all know the Black Reef is the C'Tan that escaped (I believe it's the Outsider) being crazy. He didn't have his snickers and is being an Intergalactic Diva. Someone get that thing something to eat or a Snickers STAT!🤣 Also, great video Wes!

The reason for the encounter in the dark pattern closes out the theory that it is there due to the old once, either some of them are there, or eldars that still worship them

Let me guess before i watch, everything in here will drive you to madness if you look at it. I'm sensing a running theme with these.

Personal opinion about the dark pattern is either a necron dynasty. Maybe the remnants of one of their final bastions before they went into hibernation. Could have been a false base to draw the Eldar attentions away from the silent king. Or It was the base of the old ones. Shifted through the warp to escape the dangers of the neurons.

Imma guess it was trazin who concord the maze. he stole his own thoughts from the chaos god which is why Tzitch was so angry

My take on Jericho's Reach planets: they're all part of weapon. There's an episode in The Clone Wars (3D) in which there was a planet that was said to be cursed, so anyone could enter, but no one was allowed to leave, for a spiderweb of electric beams appeared around the planet whenever anyone tried. In reality, it was just a Separatist weapon which consisted on an array of machines on the asteroid belt around the planet that bounced the electrical current between them. So, my take is that, but multiplied by grimdark

My headcannon for the Maze Girl is that she is a shard of the Big E with the dog being either a shard of Russ or Russ himself. Both has a history with Tzeentch, and Russ is currently MIA so thought this may be it. I know it has a lot of holes but its the best I've got.

What if the dark pattern were the homeworlds of ancient xenos species and empires destroyed by the Necrons under the orders of the C'tan. To feed off the souls of the inhabitants, sort of like an all you can eat buffet. Then gathered together into the dark pattern as a sort of grisly trophy/projection of power of the C'tan.

the the little girl solving tzeentch's maze i think the simplest answer is often the best one. In that this was actually a little girl and the reason she could make it through the riddles is because she's young, and one of the infinite answers to the riddles are all so simple even a child could do it. Its just that as an adult or whatever the hell you end up as in the crystal labyrinth you've experienced so much that the you believe the answer has to be something complicated, thus confusing yourself into searching for an answer that was in fact right in front of your eyes.

It says, in "the guise of a little girl"...so, it was most likely not truly one. The question would be: who craves Tzeentch's knowledge the most? Cegorach (or an agent of his) would be likely candidates to me. An aspect of the Emperor could be another...
