Actually the card people used with set rotation was Gateway of Chaos. Since its search effect is mandatory on activation, you can't actually activate it unless you have a BLS monster in your deck and it would essentially lock out their field spell zone. Very good versus true dracos at the time.

Shout outs to the very original Toon World that was only in the OCG but it was errated very quickly. It's effect was "Pay 1000 life points when you play this card. Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases or this card is destroyed. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, add back to your Life Points the amount of Life Points you have paid up until then."

It doesn‘t make any sense that Konami still puts objectively bad cards in reprint sets like this. The pack filler in main sets, okay, I get that, not every card can be good. But reprint sets? They don‘t get a single penny from the secondary market, so why don‘t they leave out some of the random bullshit cards that nobody has ever looked at a second time and make the set either smaller or put in cards that are at least useful in retro formats and/or are like 30€/$/£ for no reason? A reprint set in which every single card is useful in some way, shape or form would be great, but then this is the same company that still hasn‘t released a Goat Control and/or Tele-DAD structure deck...

Toon World NEVER made sense to me. They crammed all of that shit onto Toon cards when they could have slapped it all on Toon World. Activate this card by paying 1000 LP. If this card is destroyed, destroy all Toon Monsters you control. If you control this card, Toon Monsters you control can attack your opponent directly, unless you opponent controls a Toon Monster, in which case you must target that Monster (I know my PSCT is bad shut up lol). Your opponent cannot target Toon Monsters you control for attacks, except with a Toon Monster.

Pausing at 6:24: Chaos Hunter is a level 7 DARK hand trap, and it's kinda one of my favorites. If your opponent Special Summons, you can discard a card to SS it. (That discard could then trigger a Danger!) It's then a one-sided Imperial Iron Wall. Also, did you already forget Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay?

Evening Envoy cannot miss timing as it's a Nomi monster instead of semi-Nomi. Also, to Dwarf Planeter's credit, it adds Thanos Dragon. Dragonfire also can be SSed off Elpy to make Fusion Trishula without banishing a shitload from your field, which can then banish from your deck to further combos AND be used as VFD material.

one pretty good use for the planet dragon would be fetching Kozmo Forerunner, which can be special summoned with another Kozmo card. Also IIRC there aren't that many Kozmo searchers, so that might be a niche use. Gonna test it out later.

Not to bash where BLS evening twilight is in the list, but he is great as a one of tech in my Elemensabers. You can get him out for banishing 1 monster. He may skip battle phase with his effect, but if you already skipped the current battle phase with the elemensaber field spell, or the death of a elemental lord, he can just use his effect instead of attack.

I am quite sick of the flood of cyberse type monsters the past 3 years, it feels like the most unoriginal time in yugioh. This is what yugioh doesn't need in terms of art, the first three anime, their monsters did look like monsters rather than anime spam. Still more toon cards are always welcome and support rocks for them too as well as the exclusives from the cancelled warrior's strike reloaded structure deck is a win, so i can complete my reloaded rebuild from my bulk. I would like to include Stardust Dragon because 1-It doesn't fit into any category (Chaos, Toon, Hero or Cyberse support). 2-It has a crapton of reprints. 3-The Psy-Frames are here too but they are actually good as handtraps, Stardust hasn't even been seen in the competitive circle for a while, even Psy-Frame Lord Omega would had been a better choice, also, Gamma is the only tuner in the set. 4-It should have been the BLS Link monster, what's better than a chase cards like Pot? 2 Chase Cards.

Why use Chaos Zone with Set Rotation and not, say, a field spell with a mandatory search on activation? That would prevent them from activating at all and permanently lock them out of field spells unless they destroy it. Gateway to Chaos and Oracle of Zefra work for this. I checked and Gateway to Chaos definitely came out before Set Rotation did.

..wut? No. For literally every reason possible. 1. Unless otherwise stated, you can NEVER tribute a monster you don't control for any kind of cost. By this logic you could tribute two monsters on your opponent's board for a normal summon of Blue Eyes. Which is ridiculous. Obviously. 2. How would a card with Horizontal Arrows point to an opponents zone? Like... you can't put it in def mode.... 3. IF you mean, this is in one EDZ and you are pointing "at" the other EDZ, then also no. Stahp. Don't. That's not how that works. Its not a thing, they aren't adjacent.

Chaos Zone isnt even as good as Gateway to Chaos because in most situations your opponent CANNOT activate Gateway if it's in their field zone because they probably don't have a BLS to search.

Chaos Zone isn't really that bad. In a deck that revolves around banishing lots of cards like Necroface, you can easily generate lots of counters. You also forgot to mention that the field spell also allows you to use the counters to summon your opponents banished monsters, so there are fun shenanigans to be had.
