This is why Pan is my favorite youtuber. So much negativity happened in the animation industry this year that at least 85% of content from the western animation community was about the negatives. I can't blame them for being disappointed about influential cartoonists turning out to be not who they seem or cable dying and having to spend the last few years of it with no variety from Cartoon Network. We got so caught up with this stuff that we completely ignored the positives and Pan ended what could've been a really depressing video with a bang by talking about the great stuff that came out of animation this year and I applaud him for that. KZbin has been out for more than a decade and the cartoon community STILL hasn't reached the milestone of 1 million subs which baffles me, but I hope that Pan is the cartoon reviewing KZbinr that gets to that milestone. He deserves it. (Not saying that the other amazing cartoon reviewers don't.)

The leaker and the person threatening Studio Mir WERE actually two different people. The threatmaker said that they were just posting stuff that was already online. The leaker (who is a couple of years older than Klance14) posted the photos by accident, not seeing the blurry tiny spoilers in the background of her photos of the staff members. Some people enlarged the photos and realized that they were storyboards and character sheets for Voltron and (although unknown at the time) Lego Elves. That's when everything went all crazy. It was more Studio Mir's fault since they allowed the leaker to take the photos in the first place and didn't check them over or make her sign an NDA. That's why they got in legal trouble, not her.

Which is why, legally, it's Mir's fault and not her's. She's already deleted from the harassment & misinformation over the whole thing.

It sounds like it was an honest mistake by the first girl. Although it seems like she tried to take the pictures down after she found out there were spoilers in some. It's possible she knew she wasn't suppose to take pictures of those things and removed them or it could have been the studio asked her to take them down or . Either way, Studio Mir should know better. They should have made it clear and had her sign an NDA. When I was younger (college age) I had gone onto a studio lot and ended up taking pictures of a prop. I found out later that you're not suppose to take pictures on the lot, but no one told me I couldn't. No one stopped me from taking pictures. The prop was from an older movie and there was no concerns about leaks. I also didn't share it on social media. Luckily there weren't any issues, but I could imagine that it could have easily gone in the direction of this story if the circumstances were different.

Apparently she didn't know about the spoilers until other people cropped her pics and enlarged them. Studio Mir told her to take them down and she immediately deleted her posts and asked everyone to delete all the reblogs. That's when people started reposting the photos and Klance14 popped up. It's pretty clear from the convos on twitter that Klance14 wasn't a troll. If they were, they were a very elaborate and convincing troll, but a troll wouldn't have changed their mind and apologized about doing stuff. The photos were NOT over-the-shoulder shots as described in Pan's video. There were photos of the staff posing for the camera, large photos of an entire wall that was covered in doodles (so she would have had to openly step back and aim her camera to snap a picture, something that people would have seen). The miscommunication was that she didn't realize that there were any spoilers in the photos before posting them to her blog (they were very tiny and blurry in the background, like an animation sheet dangling off a wall behind one of the staff members posing.)

I've never said anything like this before, but right now I just feel like telling you this, RebelTaxi. I have a gravely ill chinchilla (stomach disease), one that I love very much, and I have spent the past two days looking for a veterinarian that could figure out what was draining him and how to make him better. Right now, at this moment, I came home from a skilled vet that gave the little guy some medicine for me to adiminster that she says might save his life. I have litterally not eaten in two days (no joke) and I am right now sitting down with a pizza I ordered, about to give my self a moment of relaxation, maybe an hour, before I go tend to my pet again. And I was honestly just thinking "I think I'm gonna watch something by Rebeltaxi while eating" so that I can get a well needed laugh as well. And just now I see that you just uploaded a brand new video. What you do might not seem like the most important thing in the world, but I say with honesty that I think that making people happy through creating fun entertainment is a worthy thing to spend your time doing. I disagree because the latest season of Simpsons has been finding its footing. It feels like the kids that grew up watching Simpsons and South Park are now working on the show and providing throw backs as well as making the show more relevant. Maybe that's just me. It was just a shit year for the industry itself with the onslaught of celebrity allegations and decline in mainstream appeal. But I'd argue that it was good for the consumer. So my brother and I went to see the Emoji movie. We both dressed in all black, brought clipboards (each with 10 pieces of paper) and bought tickets to atomic blond and snuck into the theater. No other families showed up for 15 minutes. It was day 2 of release. Ran out of paper to take notes by the end. I have lost my notes but I remember my last note was definitely "Movie over. Gonna go drink myself into a coma."
