I liked Van Helsing. Lack of music just made it more creepy when you faced more enemies. The upgrades were great, voice acting and smimilarity to the movie worked well. Only fault in my opinion was the length and camera angles.

agree. if played devil may cry and that side by side, most would prefer van helsing. it is newer and pretty much a reskin of that game gameplay wise but even so. that doesnt make it a bad game i think it is a lot of fun

I don't know why people hated Predator 2 I thought it was such an awesome movie personally I like it more than the first Predator thats an awesome too but I liked the 2nd movie because it's in the city and a lot more people to hunt and the Predator in the 2nd movie had new weapons like the spear, disc etc

If anything, Friday the 13th on NES is a good example of a horror game at the time. A near-invincible antagonist, not a whole lot of survival items (unless you grind for medicine), and creepy music when you enter a cabin make it a heart-pounding experience.

Am I the only one that gets the vibe that the mainstream is just trying to ruin The Crow franchise, like James O'Barr created it and they want to destroy it? That's probably what Acclaim and Gray Matter set out to do with the game based on The Crow: City of Angels. Now, I'm not gonna say it's the worst game ever made, but if you're going to use The Crow license, why not at least take the time to develop a decent game? When it comes to gameplay, presentation, and just about every other aspect of that game, it just seemed completely uninspired. The Crow: City of Angels was released in the year 1997, so there were a lot of beat-em-ups out there, such as Guardian Heroes, Die Hard Arcade, Battle Circuit, Nightmare Creatures, and Fighting Force. Basically, there should've been a lot of inspiration and possible directions to go with this game. However, Acclaim and Gray Matter decided to go against the grain and just make something not worth playing.

I'm surprised Evil Dead was on here, man I still play Fistful of Boomsticks till this day its just that fun! You get all kinds of weapons and different kinds of enemies as you progress throughout the game and you even have spells you can use which are awesome especially the rain of fire spell. I also want to add, its amazing that you can aim backwards!

they could make a saw game by making ur own puzzle challenge, then have friends solve ur maze. players will have choice that can kill or weaken their character. u as its Jigsaw can watch them solve ur puzzle or watch them betray each other to survive

TBH Nightmare is pretty good... for a game published by LJN. It's pretty easy for an NES platformer, but then again many NES games, like Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania, are hard because of bullshit, like flying backwards into death pits whenever you get hurt. The only true problems I've had was that the bones could have a bolder outline so that no one could miss them, and an indication of which door to get into next would be nice. I give it 10/10 for an LJN game (second only to The Punisher), 8/10 for an NES game, and maybe 5/10 for its time, I find most 8-bit games to age like milk, even classics like Metroid and Zelda. Now Friday the 13th, on the other hand, is a convoluted mess that needed the internet, at a time when there was no internet. You could get used to checking your position on the map, but in the woods and cave, there was no map, there was Nintendo Power or bust. The rocks are horrible, but at least you can get a better weapon, and even the goal is a little vague. 7/10 for an LJN game, 5/10 for an NES game, and because of the internet, it's actually still 5/10 today. One LJN dumpster fire you could have mentioned, but probably haven't because the movie is actually a comedy, is BeetleJuice. Now that is a shitty game.

Evil Dead, Predator, and Colonial Marines were not based on the movies, they tell a brand new story that's just part of the mythology of the franchise, and as such, should not be on the list. Also, Jaws and Halloween, both on the 2600, were far worse than quite a few of these games. Also, Van Helsing was a horror movie? The action adventure film? And I had no idea The Crow was a horror movie, since NOBODY EVER has considered it as such.

Concrete Jungle is still such an awesome game. Bad controls? No such thing, they're really smooth and you can control Scarface anyway you like, story was really original, gameplay was unique and graphics are still top notch.

It's because the script writers have never played/watched or done whatever is in their list. They only just comprise something based on online sources. That's why most of their segments have little opinion and seem to be based on the general online consensus of people.
