The best way to use Dark Neos’s effect is to target itself. So that it’s shuffle effect gets negated. Then you have a normal E-hero Neos in edgy Cosplay. Have fun

Why The Neos Cards with Best Artwork had so bad effects? Chaos Neos only needed to have 1 plus effect with 1 heads (like Say, send 1 Neo-Spacian or HERO Monster to The GY) to be played Even If for Style points only. And to be broken it needed an Errata that lets You actívate 3 good effects in succesion If You get 3 heads (Say, send a Neos to GY, Negate All Opponent's face-up cards, then destroy them)

Actually, it doesn’t “fall off”. Because it’s an ignition effect, you activate it targeting something, then at resolution it becomes a lingering effect (the effect is now slapped onto the game-state) affecting target, and that lingering effect will turn itself off when Neos is no longer face-up.

Well At least with Dark Neos, I’m pretty sure it can negate its own effect. So it’s effect to return to the ED is negated and it can stay on the field. While this means you pretty much only have a 2500 atk beat stick that does nothing else, it’s the only Neos Contact Fusion to be able to stay on the field under its own power, which I guess makes up for it that tiny bit.

Someone needs tell Duel Links that they messed up because I use Rampart Blaster because it can attack directly. Grandmerge takes something out and Rampart Blaster just protects my LP while picking away at what my opponent has left. Inferno was in the manga, not the anime. Manga Jaden had an actual elemental/nature theme to his E-HERO deck. Inferno and Terra Firma were the only ones needing specific materials and the rest were the omni heroes. It was used to beat Alexis who used Ice Counters in the manga.

Remember when Necroid Shaman got used in the anti-trap decks in Duel Links because Sirus had a skill to search out a material for a -roid fusion monster so you could search out Wildheart with it? Good times.

When you think about it, Necroid Shaman is actually more useful these days than it used to be, because you can use it to dig up hand traps. The most common ones all have nonexistent attack stats and do nothing if they're not in your hand (some are tuners, but that's about it) so you can just dredge them up and punch them for free damage. Also it can use roid support because archetypes are silly

That was my thoughts too. One for one can net you big advantage if you can bring out their worst monster and beat over it, though his common response is that only the last hundred life points matter. If it's their only monster, though, and you can set up your board it could make an OTK. I also don't agree with his top spot. Gaining 1000 only when battling a specific attribute is mediocre, especially if you're not fighting a water-heavy deck or have a card that forces attribute change, but to call it the worst?

I mean, Water is not a particularly prevalent attribute, and if you have a monster that is actively worse than one of its fusion materials most of the time, is it not trash? Besides, it's got 2300 ATK. That's terrible for a level 8 and its lack of any protection or decent effects makes it a terrible boss monster that isn't worth it.

When I was playing the first Tag Force game for the PSP and using an Elemental Hero deck, I was initially excited by Rampart Blaster. But then I realized it didn't actually work as it said and pretty much never fusion summoned it after that. I would summon Mariner, Steam Healer and Necroid Shaman, because they all have their uses.

That's why Rampart Blaster is one of the cards that really needs a Retrain (or a Rewrite that eleminates that restriction) nowadays The only reason why they gave him that restriction is because Konami thought it would have made it OP back in the day (when the Format was more slow-paced and also there was not that many Monsters that could destroy it due to it's very high defense) if they kept this monster like it's Anime Counterpart. Specially if you added other cards that can boost his Attack into consideration But now, with the game being more faster-paced (in big part because of the Links) and with so many monsters that more than 2500 ATK, this restriction is now completely pointless because you want to end Duels faster

I always find it funny that some of the "worst cards" in these videos actually saw use in some of the video games for farming credits. I remember one Gameboy game where life gain gave you credits, final countdown and win conditions like it also gave a boost, so I would load up a deck with those and brick walls like mudballman, and try to slow them down by filling their board with ojama tokens. I love the bonus points for using certain cards, like they are acknowledging that you're playing with a handicap by using them.

I think even before Prisma came out, people were using Necroid Shaman just because it was a Fusion using two cards you were already playing in HERO decks, as making a deck revolving around Wildheart, Blade Edge, Sparkman, and Necroshade worked really well in the GX era.

It really has no reason to have an effect at all. Its defense is hardly unprecedented. Millennium Shield existed for years by that point and wasn't played AND was easier to get out AND has normal monster support. And its attack stats aren't really impressive either for the work you have to do to bring it out or the trash you have to add to your deck to do it. It literally could have been vanilla, allowing it to be cheated out, and it wouldn't have seen play. It could have been 1 level lower and been an instant fusion target, and if it saw play then ti'd probably only be for material purposes or something. I agree, it could have had a positive effect and been fine, but the fact that it could have been vanilla and still see little to no play, and certainly not problematic play, just makes it having a negative effect absolutely absurd. Its like they were on auto pilot and gave it that effect PURELY because all E hero fusions at the time had that as part of their card text without thinking "oh wait, this one doesnt need that", not that most/any of them needed that effect honestly. Sorry for the rant, seeing the particularly bad E.Heroes just ticks me off because their concept is so cool.

I got out of yugioh when my parents got divorced and Kosmos and pendulum had just started dominating everything. It was a pretty annoying format to be in. Elemental Hero Inferno appeared in the manga. You can usually tell if a fusion's from the GX manga if it has either generic fusion material or the specific fusion material are not normal monsters. By the time the manga came out, normal monster E-heros had pretty much been phased out. Interestingly enough, the later manga version of Inferno had the effect to add a spell card from your grave to your hand when it's destroyed, which would make it so much better.

Rampart blaster was actually a favorite of mine in early duel links. And yes you could attack directly even if your opponent did control monsters. It was good because it couldn't be sphere kuribohed and could bypass early staples like drowning mirror force and wall of disruption. Then since mostly people used battling effects you could make you opponent take damage when attacking it with cards like mirror wall and wall of disruption.

I found one little niche use for Mariner. There is a trap card that allows you to tribute a E-Hero fusion monster, then destroy all your opponents monsters who’s ATK are greater than or equal to the monster. So with Mariner’s low stats, you could potentially interrupt a play, or just get rid of all your opponents higher monsters

Divine Neos could easily have been a fantastic card. Send the Neos monsters from the Deck instead and give the card 3500 ATK instead with protection from card destruction or being spun back. The copying ability is fine to keep and if you dont want the attack boost then give it 3 or more NEOS monsters effects at the same time

If you havent read the manga I suggest you do, the duels in them are typically portrayed more competently than the anime, especially for yu gi oh and yu gi oh gx.

That's because Duel Links (and also Master Duel) uses the OCG Rullings for it's cards instead of the TCG ones and it was Konami's TCG division who implemented the restriction because they thought (wrongly) that it would be OP back when it was released in the TCG, which had a much slower format back then and where there wasn't that many Monsters that could destroy it with due to it's high Defense

Its true. Unfortunately heroes have better synergy with other heroes than numbers. Numbers have very low synergy and support for the actual archetype. But they can connect to other archetypes

@@rushalias8511 i would argue to say that numbers aren't worse than heros yes heros are better than numbers in other aspects and ways i cant count but there are 3 ways numbers are better 1. Numbers are very generic most of the time and can be used in almost every deck 2. Heros are good but mostly "HERO" archtype specific most of the time you will only see HERO cards in HERO archetype decks i mean when was the last time you've seen a HERO monster in a Spyral, extra link, striker, orcust, or Salamangreat deck profile thou there bot in these. Deck profiles that doesn't mean there bad in any way shape or form but for a very long time these were meta relevant tier one decks and not all the time but most of it they had a Number card as there tech i mean Jessie kotton won an NAWCQ with a number card 3. The whole xyz mechanic has advantages that the fusion mechanic will never have and thats that is way more easier and generic to do i mean to fusion summon you need polymerization or another way to do it but to xyz summon you just need two monsters with the same level or another way to do it So in conclusion am i saying that numbers are better than heros no im just saying neither is better than the other but that they are both equal

But I mean numbers have very little specialized support for themselves There are roughly 4 or maybe five cards that directly support number monsters themselves. While I won't the fact that there generic xyz most of the time and that helps. A number only deck is very hard to pull of as you only really have 15 extra deck cards for the numbers and not many spells or traps or main deck monsters to support them. At best you have the utopia archetype. As well as few other cards but there aren't much specialized cards for numbers.
