Lexus ES350 ? 2GR - FE the World most reliable V6, silent mover, extremely comfortable, fit and finish that will last decades, cheap to run and maintain, Perfect paint with self healing clearcoat. I guess that's why they sell themselves.

In an effort to inject more emotion into its mainstream mid-size luxury sedan, Lexus muted the qualities that made previous versions of the ES perennial winners. The 2013 ES still provides a comfy, quiet interior and gets good fuel economy. But the cosseting, easygoing nature has been dialed back with a less plush ride, cuts in interior refinement and more complicated controls. Further, despite the attempt to infuse more sportiness into the ES, it's not agile, nor is it fun to drive. Here’s a quick list of the years to avoid: 2007 2008 2011 2013 2014 2015 2017 & 18 model years to avoid have various engine issues

I call BS. I had a 2015 Lexus ES300h. It gave me 10 years of trouble free, low maintenance driving. At 10 years, I was still getting compliments about it’s style, exterior and the interior. The hybrid engine, paired to a 4 cylinder, gave me the equivalent of a 6 cylinder. It had good acceleration from a stop because of the hybrid electrical motor. I was getting 50 mpg. Unfortunately, my car was totalled in November 2024 when an elk ran into me at high speed. This solid built car saved my wife and I from being injured. Despite it being 10 years old , I received a payout of 2/3 of what I paid for it. It only depreciated 33% over 10 years. You are the only youtuber to criticize this car. Sorry, but you don’t know what you are talking about.

@@tonyurquhart7130 thanks for your feedback. However, I’m not talking about an elk, the stylish interior or hybrid engine etc., but the lame economy class experience in certain models.. We also mention that it’s one of the safest ranked cars out there.. I guess I have to add the exact year to make it clearer. Here’s a quick list of the years to avoid: 2007 2008 2011 2013 2014 2015 2017 & 18 Model years to avoid have various engine issues, including gasket and seal problems, ticking and knocking sounds, and other signs that something is wrong with the engine internally. Further, despite the attempt to infuse more sportiness into the ES, it's not agile, nor is it fun to drive.

My 2022 Lexus ES350 is a blast to drive and is 100% reliable....haven't put a dime into it aside from oil changes. I had a Toyota Supra with a V6 turbo and I swear this car is faster and that's using the automatic transmission.... not the paddle shifters. I currently own a 2020 Lincoln MKZ, and while it's no Town Car, for sure, it's not a bad luxury sedan at all, and it rides GREAT in "Comfort" mode, but then again, I LIKE that. If you think the ride is too soft, then put it in Sport mode, you idiot, that's why it has those different suspension/engine/transmission settings....you'll get the pickup truck-like ride you seem to think traditional luxury car buyers actually want; here's a hint: WE DON'T. The cabin is quiet as a tomb, and you can have a hushed, whispering conversation in it as you travel up the interstate at 75 mph. Not sure why this one is on the list, ESPECIALLY since Consumer Reports was recommending this car as a good, reliable used luxury sedan awhile back as well, so again, I'm not sure what's up with THAT. I like my MKZ, although I'd have preferred the larger and even more luxurious Continental, absolutely, but the Covid mess created a shortage, so I took what I could get; I have not been sorry one bit! It's sickening to me, what most American luxury cars have become: harsh and noisy ride, stiff and rough-riding suspension damping....if I had wanted a luxury sedan that rides like a truck, I'd have bought a truck....or a bumpy, harsh foreign car!
