The sad thing about Sonic '06 is that it looked like it could've been really good. Here's some things they needed to improve on. 1. Fix all the glitches. 2. Remove the BESTIALITY ROMANCE, make Sonic and Elise FRIENDS, NOT a couple. 3. Make Elise get kidnapped maybe once close to the end of the game, no more and no earlier. 4. Fix the terrible voice acting. 5. Program the game right. 6. Remove the time travel plot, people want a game that takes place in the now. 7. Remove the snowboard. 8. Make the characters less stupid. 9. Make it not take so long to load. 10. Fix the level design. 11. Make Elise actually useful, that would not only make her a much better developed character, but also make the game all around less annoying. 12. This goes without saying, but change the ending. It literally invalidates everything you do for no reason. 13. Change the beginning. Maybe make it to where Sonic and friends take a break from hunting Eggman to see the festival, only for their chase to start again.

Okay I'll be honest here. I've been playing Sonic 06 for the first time this weekend. I've finished Sonic's story and started Shadow's story and it has been really fun. The story is interesting and the flames of disaster left me wondering. Also Eggman's design in this game is really good to me. The controls are actually fun except for Shadow's car. The side quests were actually fun. Also the new character Silver actually has an interesting backstory. The bosses were challenging and the music was nice. Now for the downsides. The game can lag horrendously, even on Ps3. Sometimes the game slows down by 75%. Playing as Silver was kinda cool but feels really clumsy. And the same for Tails and Rogue's attacking method. Also some of the Auto Run parts are buggy and won't finish automatcally but that's all the downsides I have for the game right now. I'm really enjoying the game. Overall rating of mine would be 7.8/10 Update: I have now finished the game and my opinion hasn't changed much. Last levels of Silver's route fu*king sucked but the Last Chapter saved it for me Final Rating: 7,3/10 Good game!

The plot has more holes than a Swiss cheese factory, and Elise is the most worthless character in all of fiction. Also, you must have gotten ABSURDLY lucky to not have game breaking glitches like being stuck on walls or being thrown into space or load screens not loading the proper thing (yup, that has happened to me). And the load screens themselves are unbearably long. Sonic 06 deserves nothing higher than a 4/10 from me, even if I do like the music and some level design. But Silver's campaign is still the second worst thing I've experienced in a Sonic game. Absolute worst being the entirety of Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Honestly, I have gotten used to the controls in Sonic R by playing it for a while on Sonic Gems Collection for the GameCube, and kind of gotten used to the physics in Sonic 4 episode I also playing it for a while on Wii. Mario Kart music is usually very energetic and peppy (Mushroom Gorge, Coconut Mall), or whimsical and/or otherworldly (Rainbow Road 64). It's not usually Rock though, because that doesn't fit the tone of the game. It isn't that intense, and neither is Sonic R. Doesn't mean Mario music isn't great, but it fits the setting better.

i don't think its that bad. For me, the gameplay was fun, but i cannot take it seriously. Its so edgy! It takes itself way to seriously for a "sonic" game. Thats my only gripe with it. It was one of my favorite games as a kid.

Okay I'll be honest here. I've been playing Sonic 06 for the first time this weekend. I've finished Sonic's story and started Shadow's story and it has been really fun. The story is interesting and the flames of disaster left me wondering. Also Eggman's design in this game is really good to me. The controls are actually fun except for Shadow's car. The side quests were actually fun. Also the new character Silver actually has an interesting backstory. The bosses were challenging and the music was nice. Now for the downsides. The game can lag horrendously, even on Ps3. Sometimes the game slows down by 75%. Playing as Silver was kinda cool but feels really clumsy. And the same for Tails and Rogue's attacking method. Also some of the Auto Run parts are buggy and won't finish automatcally but that's all the downsides I have for the game right now. I'm really enjoying the game. Overall rating of mine would be 7.8/10

It's the reason why Sonic has more than ten bad video games, so it should at the very least be a dishonorable mention on the list. But it's one of those video games that are poorly known and deserve to be because even though a majority of Sonic Jam for the Saturn is the same game as the original main Sonic trilogy for the SEGA Mega Drive, it's fortunate that the video games of that trilogy are all video games that could be on lists of greatest Sonic games (or at the very least be honorable mentions). Nathaniel Bandy haters like the Princess Peach fandom (aka the most insane fandom of Mario characters because people are butthurt that female disempowerment is deplored) are going to hate us for having those opinions, and that's what makes them an example of the absolute worst of the universe).

It was also due to Sonic Team getting split in two and having the other half work on Sonic and The Secret Rings on the Wii and Yuki Naka leaving Sega to form his own company. They ended up having to ignore bug tests in order to get it out because the team was pressured to get the game out before Christmas of 2006, and the development cycle was too short, especially for half a team.
