I think MKSF should've been on here. That game was just filled with horribly bad voice acting, with Jax sounding like a steroetypical "Jive talking" Black guy, Gemini having a voice actress that tryed Way too hard to sound sexy and most of the bad guys basically being somehow worse then most of the cheesy henchmen from alot of 90s cartoons.

Actually, even the sonic games that were considered "good" were bad. Literally the only fun aspect of sonic adventure is the chao garden. And sonic 1, 2, ect. were just okay, most people regard them as great because of nostalgia.

That is debatably not so, the main reason why most people say the whole sonic franchise is shit is because of that late 90s late 2000s periods of rushed development and overly competitive market strategy the recent sonic boom game and the whiny fanbase not trying to figure out what it actually wants have left many bitter and cynical. People will hate franchises whose track records have a legendary low point in them and are presently not doing well.

It's overracted and it's bad. In the Japanese version of the game the voices actually work. The problem is this game was localized in the 90's where serious localization was only just beginning to happen. The first scene of the game was directly translated from Japanese to English (if you understand how languages actually function in relation to one another you can see why this would be a massive problem). On top of it, voice acting in video games was rather also in it's infancy in how seriously it was taken. The game is good, but the voice acting is bad, but in a campy way that's enjoyable. But that wasn't the VA's intent, nor the intention of localization, nor how the game comes across in it's native format. (the VA in Japanese is actually pretty bad ass, but then Japan takes voice acting a lot more seriously) However the fact it places above Megaman 8 on this list just shows the list is total bullshit. Or Last Alert. Or half these other games. SoTN should be at 10 at the very most. It's placement was obviously due to it's popularity.

HELLS yeah. I'd love to see them take the time to painstakingly map out London the way they did for LA. Even though they changed all the names, if you're from LA (which I am), you can VERY easily pick out what part of town you're in, even without seeing any landmarks. But can you imagine -- doing a level on the London Eye? Or in the Tower, or the Globe, or St Paul's? WICKED.

Having worked on over 500 games I can say most of the cause of these awful acting jobs starts with a lousy script. Then sometimes people act using in house programmers etc. top that off with the fact we often aren't aware of what's going on in a script and there's no good director to explain. I'm one of the better actors/casting directors and directors and I've been in a Sega session for D2 and the script said "I Don't know." supposed to last 7 seconds. I was directing and asked why we are saying that. The Japanese crew had no idea so I had to make up a bunch of filler crap just to make it last 7 secs. Another thing you made obvious is that crappy graphics add to the bad acting, and when one dubs over pre-existing Japanese, often the scripts are poorly translated, anime dubbing actors are often not the best, and the culture is not the same as ours regarding what they think is cool.
