Top 10 Worst Wrestlers I've Met (worst experiences)

Overall, meeting wrestlers goes pretty well. So many good stories and memories. Every once in a while, one of my experiences was memorable for the wrong reason. Nothing against any of these wrestlers, but these were the meetings that didn't turn out as good.

Foley seemed bothered when I met him. Valentine is all about the money. Not rude, but not engaging. Honky was an ass. He didn’t say a word to me. Arn didn’t say a word. Rick Steiner didn’t want to be there. I can confirm some of these names on your list. It’s so disappointing.

Scott hall was my best ever..also Goldberg saved my mom from a stampede of fans that same Halloween Havoc weekend in Vegas..But Scott hall was by far the best and funniest ive ever met..Rip to the Badguy

Interesting, Flair, Lawler, Duggan, are the ones I've talked to and all three were great. Hopefully I won't have any bad exp, but the more I meet, the more likely.

My worst experience was Mick Foley in 2015. Guy barely looked at me at our meet and greet. His daughter was much nicer.

I just met Foley the 19th of May. I had a great experience meeting him. Wasn't overly talkative but would reply to your questions, told me he did a special new auto design and even had me try his beard oil. I paid about $180 in total for the experience but he was pretty cool. Shame to hear that

I think the thing is, as Brock Lesnar said… These are just people with every day people problems. It may seem like they should not have them, because especially for the wrestlers working in bigger organizations… They are making a bit more money… But, the wear and tear of the road, the pain that they are constantly in and then sitting through hours of meet ups in sometimes hot warehouses… it can be a lot for anybody. Now, I will give you… There are many of these classic wrestlers who are all about the money and they will try to sell the shirt off their back if they think you will pay for it. It’s the Carney aspect of the 70s and 80s wrestlers. You also have to remember, even though they were on TV… Many of them weren’t making as much as you think they should’ve been. So many of these guys are living convention to convention trying to make ends meet. The money is very important to them. Now, do I think any of these guys should be rude, or dismissive? Absolutely not. Because, if not for you and the other people standing in line all day long to meet them… many of them might be working at a 9 to 5 that they don’t enjoy. On top of that, it’s the fans that make the wrestlers… Not the other way around. Without the fan, Support, there is no wrestling or wrestlemania. Therefore, they should be giving back to those who helped them, live out the dream of doing what they always wanted to do. Again, everybody has bad days. But, if you have multiple meetings with people, and every time you meet them, it is the same thing… I would say something to them. Like, you know… If you would just talk to people for a few seconds each And show them a smile so they feel like their interaction with you with something special… They might tell their friends and the friends might come along next time and you’ll have that much more of a line and make that much more money. I worked in the wrestling industry as a wrestler, a commentator, and I actually owned half of a wrestling Federation. I’ve met many of these guys that you have talked about, and many more. Bully. Ray is exactly as you say he is. He seems to, for whatever reason, always be distant and like he would rather be anywhere else then with you. Rob Van Dam, one of the nicest people I ever met. John Cena, Dwayne Johnson couldn’t be nicer… then you have the other end of the spectrum, that generally seem to be many mid carders and below… That hold grudges, because if they had come along just 10 or 15 years later, they would’ve been making the guaranteed contracts and wouldn’t be essentially begging for people to buy their pictures and autographs… bitter because they feel they worked harder back in the day, which they definitely did, for less money, and less recognition… But, again… They got to do what they love to do, travel, see the world, and make better money than most of us did back then. I’ll never understand the bitterness… but then again, I’m not living in their shoes for even a day… So I have no clue what is going on in their lives to make them that way. I feel the same way as Brock… Whether it be wrestlers or actors or musicians, I’ve never been big into the autograph thing. We are all human beings, born on this earth, and all have the ability to try to reach for the stars to accomplish our dreams. Some do, Some don’t… But as long as you have a roof over your head, food in your belly, and wake up the next day… You have the ability to change whatever it is, you want to, simply by putting in the extra work to do so. Which, because you have a roof over your head and food in your belly, you should feel blessed. We all crave for, and want more for our lives. Some people have everything they could ever want and more and are the most miserable people in the world. Some people have nothing and are the happiest. That’s why I always tell people: live every day like it’s your very last, and love like it’s your very first. because we never know. Treat people like you want to be treated and those who seemingly are having a bad day… May just be having that bad day when you meet them. You can only control the controllable.

I saw the honky tonk man the other day at comic con revolution 2024. I was looking around the vendor's tables and he and greg valentine were in the very corner at a small table and he looked back at me, i got the prick vibe from him and i just walked right past. Wasn't in any urge to meet either of them anyway.

Brock Lesnar said it best they are regular people living regular lives . I wouldn't pay any of them for autographs or pictures. They are on the road like us Truckers are but they are paid a hell of alot more yes they are good at what they do but in reality they are just human beings.

Very good point made here. I honestly never liked the idea of charging someone money for your picture or signature on something, especially if it’s over $100. I would rather just meet/talk to the person and have a fond memory to look back on. I would only do it if I had money to splurge and wanted to show support to someone that I really liked. But I would never make myself broke just to get an autograph or picture from a wrestler/celebrity, no matter how much of a fan I am. I don’t judge people who pay for autographs/pictures/shoutouts, because I can see how the experience can be exciting. But at the end of the day, they’re just like us.
