Chris Benoit needed help, but received none. He had severe brain injuries, and received no attention. What happened to his family, AND him, was such a tragedy. They should absolutely talk about him, and acknowledge the company's hand in turning him into what he became. He deserved better, and his family suffered for it. The tragedy behind the reason is understandable, but it's sad that, among a lot of other features, Randy Orton can't even brag about being the youngest world champion in WWE history anymore because he won the WHC against Benoit at Summerslam, and it was in fact his very first World championship belt, that's why I think it's sad he can't openly talk about it. But outside the ring and as a human after what you heard about what he did to his entire family and not just commit just suicide, if you call Chris Benoit “my boi” or anything similar. If you idolise him as a “role model” to you, you are a sick asshole for that. So unfortunate that Benoit tops this list. I met the man on the streets while he was with Eddie, Perry and Dean after a RAW taping in Vancouver. They were walking downtown to find a place to eat and were gracious enough to chat with us as we walked downtown. I will never condone his actions or support them. I still respect his in ring ability and accolades but the situation still breaks my heart. RIP to Benoit's family!

Hard to answer the GOAT for me because there is so much in being a WWE superstar but taking in wrestling skills, good on the mic, longevity, comical, and overall entertaining…I have to go with Chris Jericho. Very underrated in my opinion and was a great baby face but even better heal. His jabs at Stephanie McMahon were sometimes a bit tasteless but entertaining though. He is the true first Unified WWE champion, not Roman Reigns. His work with Kevin Owns was amazing and if you don’t agree with me, you know what will happen to you? You want to know what will happen to you if you don’t agree with me? (Clicks pen)…YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!

Well WatchMojo, you can watch Benoit's matches on WWE Network. However, his name isn't on the list of matches that he is involved back then (for example, his match against The Great One for the WWF title at Fully Loaded 2000 is billed as "The Rock defends the WWE Championship" and his match against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw in 2004 is billed as "World Heavyweight Championship Iron Man Match", respectively) but he's there UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. BTW I don't condone what Benoit did because he's still a great technical wrestler alongside Ken Shamrock, Bret Hart and Kurt Angle. Period.

Sorry but Paul Heyman said it best fuck CTE 3 people died in that house and only 1 had a choice. Fuck Chris Benoit.
@stevegallo84832 жыл бұрын
From what I've read about it, his autopsy report showed that Chris Benoit's brain was so severely damaged that he had the brain of an 85 year old Alzheimer's patient and severe CTE with damage to all four lobes of his brain as well as his brain stem. Christopher Nowinski, a fellow (now former) wrestler, said that Benoit may have suffered from repeated, untreated concussions throughout his career. Benoit certainly had numerous head traumas throughout his career including chair shots and his diving headbutt from the top rope. It's also believed that the death of his friend Eddie Guerrero was the beginning of the end for Benoit.
@chrisradzion21482 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly he had dementia from all the CTE, was having auditory and visual hallucinations, and his brain looked like one you would find in an elderly person with severe dementia (not unlike Aaron Hernandez). There was a movement to remove him from some wrestling hall of fame (not WWE’s, obviously), and I remember Jim Cornette being against the removal. His reasoning was the person who committed those horrific acts was not the Chris Benoit that was voted in; he was essentially a totally different person. Having had two grandparents with dementia, who didn’t remember who I was or who my parents were towards the end, I totally understand that line of thinking (although neither of them did anything really violent in the midst of the disease). My grandfather died in 2008; but the man I knew had been gone for almost a decade. The Benoit case is a tough one, because from interviews from his colleagues, the last few years of his life (especially after Eddie Guerrero died) he was a totally different person, and not for the better.

In all fairness to Jaxson Ryker, his pro trump tweet wasn't what got him fired, but instead he got a lot of heat from wrestlers. Vince McMahon is close friends and is also a supporter to trump, so he wasn't gonna get fired over that. He did come back as Elias's roadie for a short period
