What I found was that the person who inspired the Eugene character passed away. Not the man who played him. It was someone else that passed who became the inspiration into creating Eugene. The name of the person was Eugene Palermo. And the guy who did the Eugene gimmick, Nick Dinsmore, is still alive and posted a tweet three days ago. He even made a tweet paying tribute to the person who inspired his gimmick on August 7.

The British bulldog was originally booked to beat Shawn Michaels at one night only but Shawn use his backstage politics to change the ending at the last second before match this decision had a negative effect on bulldog because he dedicated the match to his sister who was dying from cancer the media he promise his that he would win the match this decision would also be the precursor to the Montreal screwjob a few months later.
