Thank you! The dragon strategy brought me from 153 to 115 in my group and with only a few hours left, I'm a shoe-in for the 5 extra tickets and title plate!

Just a heads up for those trying to mimic the Vincent build for Mole Crawler - if your White Dog is not OB6 or higher, you won't get to your limit break in time before the Cooldown phase. That 1% extra limit break gain matters, unfortunately LOL. I used Hugin & Munin's attack (which I /do/ have OB6) leading up to the cooldown phase and it worked just fine. Thanks for the video Octo, hope this helps some folks climb some spots on the last day \o//

Nice tactics, top 28 applying your way. I already had a strong setup for mole crawler but i squeezed 60K more on red dragon by swiping yuffie for red 13. His costume allows him to tank really well and I only had to put a +8% hp materia on seph so he has 50 hp more than him, before that he would be the one targeted with my previous team so I could only put 2000% hp and nuke him before his attack, but even if yuffie was slighltly more offensive (anniversary costume + OB6 debuff/buff weapons) the extra boost from 6000% hp got me from 930K to 990 which is huge.

With the dragon 3 magic Bio materia is the key

i dont even know how i hit 1mil using less score bonus on my f2p , but i use the ob6 tifa lightning gloves . i think the score bonus was only like 625 - 660% . also , u can use bio on dragon for faster clear

My ice built sucks, got ob6 edge, not good enough for big scores unfortunately

I know ranking is over, but I used OB8 Edged Wings (without his ice outfit) and managed ~950k. OB0 Citrine on Aerith with Zack (ob1 Ridge/OB6 Arc) was enough along with Bio to drop him fast enough.

Hey Octo, love your content but for future guides could you showcase builds that don't assume every F2P player rolled on the same limited banners that you have? For the Mole Crawler in particular I didn't roll on Vincent's limit break banner at all and my Kirin Gloves are only OB1 so I really don't have much to go off of looking at this video.

He can't do a build for every person bro, there is almost infinite possibilities, just apply the same tactics he showed with your heaviest hitters lightning or earth.

If he does that, there will be a new comment claiming he's not showing off what the best strategy is 😅 I'll peanut gallery comment here if you're interested: He mentioned as much in the video at 1:04 that Lightning Tifa can be used even at OB0 , but the strategy itself is the same: you bring buffs & debuffs for your damage type and go all in during the cooldown phase. I helped someone with an OB1 Kirin Gloves and they managed to clear the 185 stage without any issue. That means even OB0 of Vincent's new weapon would be able to apply the strategy shown, since the potency is around the same as OB1 Kirin Gloves (assuming you have a buff on, which you should) That cooldown phase gives you a LOT of damage Not every video is going to be catered to your specific account. You should be watching to see what the general strategy is and applying it to your own stuff \o//

Your kirin gloves can be OB1 and still do fine.

@@g_mundy To be fair the general strategy for all of these ranked battles can be boiled down to "stack buffs & debuffs to do as much damage as possible as quickly as possible," so the question comes down to how do you get there. I understand everyone's account is different so your mileage will vary but being able to at least see a couple of different viable builds would be more helpful than showcasing a single build that's heavily invested in specific limited weapons. By all means show the limited build but at least offer a non-limited build as an example as well as more people will have access to the tools in that build.

@@dbull620 is showcasing an Earth damage build not a "different viable build?" Everyone is using lightning on this fight, no? Not to mention a large portion of the active player base pulled on the Vincent Earth banner with the first guild battle being earth weak and it being Vincent's release banner Additional counter point: which non-limited weapon would you like him to showcase? Lucia's Holiday Revolver follows the same "boiled down" strategy of buffing her MATK with her LB or her Ultimate Weapon, while debuffing earth def and MDEF, while Vincent's newest banner is the exact same strategy he showcased here, but with lightning debuffs instead of earth. To my knowledge, those are the only two non-limited weapons that can be showcased in this fight in a video, which the former he may not have access to (he mentioned not having great earth sub weapons) and the latter is a brand new banner that most of the F2P player base can't afford to pull on All that said, his discord is /excellent/ if you want to ask questions that are more specific to your account. Highly recommend you join if you haven't already
