Obviously it's an outdated generation that's been overtaken by newer, objectively superior hardware. However, within it's own generation the Xbox was objectively superior in terms of hardware. And- the Xbox still gives the Playstation 2 a run for it's money on influence. Whole the PS2 is the greatest selling game console of all time, it was not responsible for single-highhandedly putting a new company on the console market, like the Xbox was.
