Fantastic content per usual. The best part about seeing these lists is seeing all the different varieties of games that different people enjoy. I love that you trend towards worker placement and dexterity. I'm personally a huge fan of social deduction. Picked up Feed the Kraken, Lost Ruins of Arnak, and Dungeon Fighter off your recommendations. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your list.

So many good titles in this interval. Caylus was my first boardgame, received as a gift from friends about 13 years ago. What a journey it has been ever since! And it continues. I don't want to imagine a life without boardgames 😊

Lost Ruins of Arnak did do it for us, we did only play with the base game. We do really enjoy Space Base, backed a new expansion and picked up an older expansion too; shipping was reasonable. One day hope to play Ave Caeser, looking for it at my gaming group. We promise not to die over the next few days.

Great list of 10 games ~ I own and love Arnak, Orleans, Caylus, Twilight Struggle, and 7 Wonders. I've played Space Base numerous times on BGA. El Grande was fine. Havent played Dogs of War, Feed the Kraken, or Ave Caesar, but they look interesting

I haven’t played either game yet, but it sounds like Dogs of War has a lot in common with The Last Kingdom. Do you have an opinion about which is better, or are they different enough that the comparison’s unfair?

Now Caylus is a good worker placement game. If you love it, you should try Caylus 1303. It further improved the game, for me, and I loved the original.

I didn't know about Ave Caesar. I bought Charioteer, which must be a knockoff of AC, they are so similar. Charioteer is probably a little more complex, but it looks similar, has a catch-up mechanism, and shares a similar style of play in the corners. Great list of great games. I'll be here next week if the other people on the planet don't fuck it all up for me. 😅

I got the German version and printed out translations for the cards. Then, two weeks later, I hear that it is being reprinted. Not sure if I'm brainless or unlucky.
