The PS Vita has a good library of indie games, PS2 ports, visual novels and barely any great original games. Complete lack of planning and care by Sony; all they had to do was repeat the PSP formula. Comparing the PSP library to the Vita's is horrifying. The lack variety in Vita is astonishing.

Soul Sacrifice Delta, Ratchet and Clank, Shakedown Hawaii, MGS collection, God of War collection, Medevil Resurrection, the best out the franchise I think, Hotline Miami 1 and 2, Chasm, Vagrant Story ,Metal Slug XX and Anthology,Syphon Filter 1 through 3,Gaiaseed, Strikers 1945, One PS1, killer game, Salt and Sanctuary, one of my favs, Duke Nukem, Ys Oath of Felghana, Alien Breed remake l, Wolf Fang, Lucifer Ring, and 2 other memory cards filled with awesome stuff. Using the PS Vita with no jailbreak is basically pointless because you can already just jailbreak using henkaku and downgrade so you can get everything for free including dozens of plugins and a lot of ps1 games like Tomba, and crash bandicoot or spyro etc. If you have an up to date ps vita I recommend you jailbreak it.

Killzone on vita is a watered down version of a already mediocre fps series, golden abyss is okay if you like being on rails for the whole game coupled with terrible shooting mechanics, resistance offers no substance with a way too short campaign and brain dead A. I, COD is the most boring shit ever and online is dead, ratchet and clank and Jack and dexter run terrible aside from the first games in each series better on every other platform, wolf among us has frame issues during qtes, walking dead is okay organ trails too and AC liberation is probably the worst AC game with a boring story and frame issues everywhere.

I can agree with COD being absolutely awful and the Telltale's but for the rest : - Who the fuck plays Killzone only for its campaign ? I remember back in the days the online was really entertaining, especially between friends - "AC liberation is probably the worst AC game with a boring story and frame issues everywhere" : well i don't think the vita can really give you an assassin's creed like the ones on console because it's just limited. And honestly I played it like yesterday and the framerate isn't THAT bad (take a look at Borderlands 2, this one is a true mess lol). - Denying that Golden Abyss is a top-tier game for the Vita is pretty exceptional. Original Soul Sacrifice was criticized because the progression system and the end game was too short. Also very repetitive. You said you played 3h which may seem like a bit, but you played 3h of an 70h+ game with many more endings and additional content. You've played less than 5% of the story, and less than 1% of all the game has to offer. The game isn't for everyone, but let me give you a rundown of who the game is for if you try it again (which you should) Unrivalled OST- I haven't heared a better soundtrack to date, if you like games with good music, this won't disappoint. Story- This game has a great story to tell with a great cast of characters that you'll never forget. During your adventure through the story you become attached. I didn't realize this until I finished the game and I was devastated. Strategic combat- It's the same typical combat you see in Pokemon or Earthbound, but just like those games, it has it's own unique flair. It's fast and fluid, and has only been made better in Persona 5. Social sim- on top of the main story you live a normal student life. You could do jobs, expand stats, hang out with friends, every day you'll be doing something. Packed with content- again, it's 70h+ multiple endings, many people to meet, my 3rd play through and over 300h in still has me engaged. I still haven't met everyone, done everything, or gotten all the endings. I could talk about this game for days. This game alone altered my entire world view. After I beat this game I felt as if I became human. As if I was missing something before without realizing It. It may sound like I'm overhyping it, but it truly did change the world for me.

In my opinion tearaway is the best game on the vita because it makes use if all the inputs like touch microphone, touch, tilt and back touch and a lot of the other vita games didn't use back touch or frontouch creativly like media molecule did with tearaway (also tell me your favorite vita game I'd like to know)

Tearaway, Spelunky, Velocity 2X, Rogue Legacy, Sound Shapes are all good games. Proteus has a great art-style in my opinion but you just aimlessly walk around sadly and I surprisingly enjoyed the Hatsune Miku games!

I got one couple of days ago and I saw it still has so much potential, even for today... Such a shame of Sony devs... Besides how well it plays top graphic games like Killzone Mercenary for a 512 ram 128 vram chip. Nowadays most of phones nor tablets can't play well this quality games. PS Vita will stand many years cause it has PSP library.

This list is based on games with 7 or more critic reviews. Odin Sphere has a Metascore of 92 but only has 5 critic reviews. Games with less than 4 critic reviews are not even given an official Metascore YS VIII only has 3 critic reviews, but the Userscore is a 9.1 if you were wondering.

Because the vita has been advancing in terms of capabilities when hacked. So its a lot easier for people to hack vita and use microsd to have a ton of games and this wasnt a thing 3 or 4 years ago. Still amazing that the vita has been around since like 2012
