In my opinion, 60's, 70's and 80's are the golden age of popular music (especially Rock and Metal) and the 70's was its absolute peak. And besides The Bee Gees and Donna Summer, I like this Top 100 (there are even some albums I didn't know, but I'm gonna check'em out ASAP).

Very nice list. Your top 10 were awesome. I didn't realize many on the list came out in 79. Seeing Iggy Pop was like geez doesn't that guy ever wear a shirt?🤣 As much as I worship the Sweet, for once I won't say they should have been higher. Cut Above the Rest is probably my least favorite of theirs, although Big Apple Waltz is beautiful. I was also ecstatic my main man Mick Tucker got lead on 2 songs!😍 He had a very good voice.

As for the group, Sweet, I completely agree with you!!!💯 In addition to the Big Apple Waltz, I also like the composition of the Mother Earth!!! I love Mick Tucker's voice too!!! It's a pity that Brian Connolly is not on the album, It seems to me that It would be a completely different album, much morę interesting!!! OK!!! As always, Thanks for watching and comment!!!🎸🥁🎤✌️

@@rockforever755 I'm more of a fan of their harder rock stuff, and this one was a little soft for me. It was alright though. I dug Give Us a Wink and Sweet FA most.

I really like their heavier stuff too!!! Sweet FA and Give Us a Wink the best!!!💯👍

Très exhaustif votre classement C Rock Nation; je remarque un oubli ; une omission de votre part ; pourquoi ne pas avoir placé dans ce classement l'album " Easter " de Patti Smith qui avait fait grand bruit en cette même année ? Sinon parfait 😊😊

As always, it's a really nice list. I would like to change the Led Zeppelin album, positioning it a little bit higher! 😉✌️

I probably would have too. Fool In the Rain is one of my favorite songs, and Bonzo's drumming on it is way cool! 😎

Good to see a nod to the New Wave, with the Clash, the Boomtown Rats and the Angels, but there were so many more who were making the old timers look a bit tired.

How the hell is Donna Summer Rock???
@rockforever755 Жыл бұрын
Indeed, Donna Sammer is known as the queen of disco music. But on the Bad Girl album, in addition to disco music, we can hear such genres of music as Pop, Rock and R&B. In addition, song Hot Staff, having very strong rock elements, Donna Summer won the award for the best vocal rock performance. Thanks for watching and comment!!!✌️✌️✌️

@@rockforever755 I see your point. I love song lists like this one, and your efforts are much appreciated. The music of the 70s, and 80s were the best. You should do album lists of Punk, and New Wave music of those decades!

Hmmm, no Pretenders (released December 1979)? My god, you totally left off Elvis Costello, Armed Forces? Omission of Nick Lowe, Labour of Lust is criminal as was leaving out Joe Jackson, Look Sharp. High number of disco recordings while it was writhing on its well-deserved death bed certainly does not reflect the best of '79. I was a 21-year-old college senior in 1979 and very into rock music as were most of my peers. Your list and relative rankings would, to be kind, not pass muster.

No XTC Drums and Wires or Joe Jackson Look Sharp. ? Okay........................

Aerosmith doesn't deserve to be on here, they sucked majorly after Draw The Line. Kiss has never made a good record past their debut. I think Zeppelin's last two albums are weak and pathetic but I think this is a great list overall! Love the diversity of inclusions and the Thin Lizzy love. VH II is their best album imo
