I have a Kyberlight Lightsaber, and I have some mixed things to say about it. I really love the customization options, and their customer service and shipping times are some of the best on the market. I believe the value to be the best on the market overall, with 17 colors and 6 sound fonts. I believe that Kyberlight has come closer to perfection than any other lightsaber company. However, it is the quality of the saber that is to be spoken off. The actual blades are extremely durable, and they can withstand heavy dueling. But the electronics are a different story. There is no kind of internal chassis holding the electronics and place, so if you drop your saber on the ground or swing it too hard while dueling, the electronics can move and delicate wires can snap or become unplugged. I have broken 3 Kyberlights in the last 10 MONTHS due to this issue.

The Pach Store is really underrated; I've ordered my (so far first) saber from them and the price with shipping was very reasonable and it is pretty durable. I do want to mention that their flashlight-style blades are pretty bright, but the sound has a noticeable delay on the less expensive model ($70 usd). I'd say you get what you pay for, but the overall quality is pretty great for a first-ever saber. Wouldn't have even heard about them if it weren't for your last video! Keep it up m8!

I just got the SS saber from Pachstore. Beautiful saber. I also got the third sister blade from Ultrasabers. The Ultrasabers blade needed more tweaking to feel solid. Also the fact that there's no neopixel option is a major bummer. And it costs more. In Ultrasabers defense, they do have higher discount sales. The hardware with the ultrasabers blade is aiight, but it's got nothing on the asteria . I got tired of scraping the internet for cool presets on the Ultrasaber, as the setup itself just feels outdated for the cost. Outside of a sale, I don't think I'd ever do ultrasabers again. The sabers aren't BAD, they just feel outdated compared to the Pachstore SS saber.

I repaired an Ultrasabers for a friend recently. The electronic design of their stunt sabers (no sound) is wrong. Those sabers only have 4 functional components: LED, switch, driver (could have used a resistor), battery. They had it powered with 2AA batteries (3V), which is the minimum voltage to light the LEDs. The problem is, the driver they used stabilizes current to the LED, but significantly reduces voltage. Occasional use for less than one year had caused the driver to fail from under-voltage. I had to replace the driver, and add a 3AA (4.5V) battery setup. It works fine now. The LED still isn’t as bright as my TCSS sabers, and the hilt feels big and clunky. Their leather wrap was also hurriedly done, and is very uneven. Regarding Korbanth Sabers, they don’t sell nearly as many complete sabers as they do DIY kits. That is where the company really shines. Their replica/DIY kits are sold by several other saber companies, either complete or empty. I also recommend looking into KR Sabers (The Saber Armory). Thanks for putting this together. Great work. 👍

I can vouch for Kyberlight sabers. I loooove my saber from them. The features are great, it charges fast, and it takes some hard abuse no problem. I was sold on them when someone at a con repeatedly slammed it against a concrete pillar to show me how strong it was. Blades have a lifetime warranty, so even if something happens, you’re covered. The features are so nice for the price, too. They have I think 7 or 8 sound fonts, plus you can add your own. They have smooth swing, flash on clash, customizable colors, and you can switch it out for a day blade. They also sell sleeve pieces, guards, and end caps for the hilt for super cheap, so you can mix and match your accessories

Plus, you can switch between a stable, pulse, and unstable blade. That's all in the most basic saber. I am planning on getting one of their xenopixel sabers because it's like a budget proffie, you can easily add new sound fonts and it uses the neopixel blade for about $245 at the low end. Also, the blade durability is great, the battery pack is secured incredibly and heavy dueling is fine.

The only Lightsabers I've bought have been one from Ultrasabers, before I knew how bad they were. The hilt constantly rattles, and while the blade is sturdy itself, the tip flew off. Also the diffusion of light could be better. Second is Kyberlight. Their saber is insanely good with immersive smooth swing, flash on clash, lockup, blaster effects, and 3 fonts. Plus you can change the color and volume to your liking. The blades are extremely durable with a threaded pointed or rounded tip. The hilt is also pretty lightweight and good for some fancier dueling or just spinning around. They also have a bunch of fairly simple emitters, pommels, and sleeves to customize your saber. Fantastic in my opinion.

I want to take this opportunity to share with you all my own experience buying a 600$ saber from Ultrasaber. I want people to keep in mind that I have a couple of years worth of professional metal working experience, so I have a pretty accurate knowledge of metals and what quality metal working is. -2 months delay -Out of the box, the metal finish is really dull, you can see machining lines on some of the pieces and one has a side with a rough finish -cut myself deep on a round edge that hadn't been deburred proprerly. I had to file the edge myself -Motion sensors are inconsistent most of the the time and too sensitive when they shouldn't be -button is extremelly cheap and upon disassembling it, I noticed that the hole they had cut for it hadn't been deburred and was obviously drilled using the wrong feed RPM. -Threads on the pommel were damaged and had been cross threaded so I had to rethread the pommel myself. -Not very bright -Hole in which you seat the blade was a couple thousandth of an inch too wide, just enough for the blade to not settle in proprerly and janking side to side because of a small loose gap between the blade and the seat's walls. Not even generous tightening of the set screw was enough to hold it firmly in place. Had to drill a small hole at the base of the blade that aligns with the set screw's hole and I purchased a slightly longer set screw with same diameter and thread just so I would have peace of mind when messing around with it. I would have never trusted this sword in a FXsaber live duel. -Battery failure after only a few weeks of use. -ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL OFFENSE LEVELS OF ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. had to harrass them with emails for 8 MONTHS before I even got any form of feedback which was just "'Sorry our Email processing system died and that's why we were silent for so long.", then sending them emails for another 4 months until I finally got feedback which was just that despite such failure covered by waranty, they kept claiming that since it's a BATTERY issue and not a SABER issue causing the batteries to fail, I had to buy my own and that keeping them in the saber when not in use tends to kill them. A very important detail they do not give you (or used to) on their website's section about saber maintenance and usage. I will never do business with them again. I had thought of this purchase for several years before I did it and kept finding all kinds of reasons why it wasn't a necessary purchase and not worth it and despite being a huge Star Wars fan, I own nothing Star Wars related, so I felt like this purchase was my ultimate fan devotion to something that I've loved my whole life. Imagine my dissapointment given how much I spent on it and how much I had heard good things about this company. I might consider purchasing another, actually good quality one eventually. They got a lot more options since then and they honestly seem way more fun to sink cash into than the crummy 3 options that I got for 600$

I have to say, I've bought a total of four lightsabers from Ultrasabers (all prior to discovering this channel and learning about the much better options out there), and I honestly have no complaints about my buying experiences. Customer service was also really good when I had an issue with one of my sabers (which I was ultimately able to fix myself). Agree though about the quality of the product though - their Obsidian hearts are very basic in what they can do. And I didn't try the Emerald or Diamond electronics as they pushed the price way too high for me. I have found them pretty good for duelling too. But since discovering that there are much better products out there, I've bought two fantastic sabers from the Pach Store, plus a really good replica hilt from Roman Props, and I'm waiting on a combat saber from VV.

With the lone exception of one order (which was during the worst of the COVID lockdown), I've received every saber within a week. Each and every lightsaber was bright, loud, and worked perfectly. Admittedly, I no longer participate in heavy dueling but I've never had a problem with the blade or hilt. As for customer service, for the several times that I've had a concern or modified an order, I received a prompt response without any hassles. I've never purchased from any of the other companies; I've never had to since every experience with Ultrasabers has been positive for me. Granted, I've never requested a refund and the two times I made an adjustment post-order, my sabers were shipped to me between 1-2 weeks. Nevertheless, I can say without exception that I've been happy with every purchase that I've made from Ultrasabers. I've always had great experiences with Saberforge. I've bought from them and didn't have issues with shipping, communication was always positive, but my biggest draw to them is the customization. They have the most variety, really high quality that's way more affordable than other saber stores, and you can build a fully custom saber. When their virtual saber builder is operational, it's probably the best feature of any saber merchant. Stock can be iffy, but they're so screen accurate, durable, and with everything else I mentioned, I can look past that.

Unless their custom saber shops, these sabers come from somewhere. I found most are from LGT in China. My most expensive was an Obi Wan ep4 neopixel, with proffie 2.2 core. It was just $427. I have 6 of their sabers. My least expensive neopixel was the Revan Xenopixle for $169. These all come with blade, blade plug, charger. 9 sound fonts. Loads of blade options and colors, smooth swing, you name it. The least and only base lit LGT was Ki Adi Mundi copy. Only $89. This is where resellers go for their sabers. I see their merch being resold on Pach, Korbanth, and others. The smooth swing line starts at around $69 to $89, then your Xenopixle ( thats their in house sound board) starts at $169 for a neopixel saber with 9 sound fonts, durable led pixel blade. Basic, original and replica designs. The U.S. resellers will take the Revan and just add another $100 to $150. I've even seen a smooth swing, base lit, $69 saber being resold for $220 on some sites. You can even get sabers with no electronics and add your own, my example. I bought an empty Qui Gon Jinn hilt for $189, put in a proffie 2.2 kit that was $120. The kit has the board, chassis, speaker, battery, sd card, and made my Qui Gon for around $320 WITH A PROFFIE 2.2 KIT. I already had blades from other purchases. But seriously,oh and they take about A 7 days to get to my home on the east coast U.S. I'll break it down, Obi Ep4 , proffie $427, Luke ep 5 Xenopixle $359, Qui Gon Jinn proffie,$ $310, Obi Wan ep 3 Xenopixle $359, Darth Revan Xenopixle $169. Kia Adi Mundi smooth swing, base lit $89. This is no B.S., save yourselves serious money, cut out the middle man. Look for yourselves. Go to AliExpress, type in LGT, Damien sabers, or SEE LIGHT STORE, their all partners so if you find something you like check the other store as it might be on sale at the other shop. I also picked up an Actual Ki Adi Mundi replica proffie 2.2 from Sky sabers for about $350. LGT has at least 30 + designs to choose from. Sorry, I know it's long but I want people to know how to get the best deals. TXQ also has some good things, I purchased a Luke ep 6 smooth swing for $120 on sale, the hilt is nice but the sound card is not so good. Now I do have 10 Galaxy's edge sabers also, for starting at $300 you can go to Jamoos playground on Etsy and purchase a custom made neopixel blade with colors and sounds of your choice that it designed to fit right into the Galaxy's edge hilts. Good hunting saber community, hope this helps. Hit me up if I can answer any questions.

sabertrio for sure, up until now i feel anyone with a foot in this industry would have called VV the best but honestly i feel comfortable calling sabertrio the best as of 2022 oh and also shoutout to TCSS while they dont sell complete sabers they do more for the lightsaber community than anyone else

My only issue with vv is they start at 399 for a base lit hilt! Sabertrio is my fave currently and just made another purchase with them for my 3rd and 4th hilt!! Tcss rocks!! I made my first heavy grade Neopixel blade from most of their parts!! I still didn’t see Outter Rim Outpost or Davinium Custom Sabers on this list and I’d say those go beyond what VV is putting out lol
@VestedUTuber2 жыл бұрын
@@jedirogar "My only issue with vv is they start at 399 for a base lit hilt!" That's because Vader's Vault doesn't make a basic lit hilt. Everything they make comes with a full sound board capable of handling RGB light controls, even if the hilt itself is only equipped with a single-color LED board, and a built-in USB interface. The $399 goes towards that and a fully custom machined hilt.

I bought 2 from UltraSabers back when I was working a minimum wage job. I was super frugal with my purchase and went absolute stock standard with no sound. It took about 3 months for them to come in and when they did I was a bit disappointed I didn’t just wait and save up for them with sound and effects. It’s definitely worth waiting and spending the big bucks for a high quality saber.

I got a Graflex from Saberforge with champion tier electronics roughly four years ago. It was made from their adaptive saber parts because that was the only way to get one without a crystal reveal chamber. It said it would take ten weeks to ship out to me, so I eagerly waited. When the time came, all of the parts for my saber were out of stock, so I had to wait a couple extra weeks after for it to actually arrive. When it arrived I assembled it with my Dad. The hilt was absolutely beautiful! It was very hard to fit all of the electronics in the hilt, even with the plug and play version. In the end it worked great! I loved how bright the saber was and it sounded fantastic, but there was one problem. Because of the rumble motor the electronics kept fumbling around within the hilt so I was always afraid I was going to break something by swinging it around. So in order to resolve this, my Dad filled all of the empty space in the saber with flat bubble wrap to prevent the electronics from moving. To nobody's surprise it worked. I used it regularly and showed it to my friends and we all had fun with it for nearly a week. Suddenly one time when I was using it, I started to smell smoke coming from the hilt. After opening up the saber I saw that the soundboard had a dark streak of burn damage across it, so it couldn't turn on anymore. I sent it back to Saberforge a couple of days later and got a full refund, with the exception of shipping of course. Years later I'm still not sure if the electronics just failed, or if it was the bubble wrap that caused them to burn. Moral of the story, don't mess with electronics unless you are 100% aware of what you're doing. I wouldn't recommend Saberforge to new saber buyer's, especially the adaptive saber parts. Despite the hilts being very high quality, the electronics just aren't comparable to other companies nowadays. I'm about to purchase another saber, probably from either Crimson Dawn or Korbanth, and I'm certain that my experience with this next saber is going to be much better, because Saberforge didn't set the bar as high as I had hoped.

I just found this video (you tube was hiding it from me) and I've a couple questions to ask. 1) The customers for UltraSabers. How long have they been purchasing from them? Since Covid hit, they've had a LOT of problems, supply, customer service and work reliability are most of the things that changed in the last 2- ish years. I had purchased from US for 3 years previously and I only had 2 problems with over 40 orders I made with them, resolved to my satisfaction. Since Covid, I've had maybe 8 more orders but 3 problems, with only some resolution. So I can see where the dividing line is. 2) Is that US hilt one of the newer LED string light equipped ones? I have not purchased from US since their release, so I cannot vouch say their build quality or reliability. Other makers caught my eye. All of the US neo pixel reviews I can find online only highlight their hilts, blade luminesce and sound quality, but they didn't take the hilts apart like I do.

I ordered my very first light saber from saber forge. After multiple videos of research, customer reviews, and many nights sleeping on it. I can officially saw that I own a custom Hero Pixel combat saber from Saber forge. Their website makes ordering and customizing your saber easy and straight forward. The sound fonts, blade effects, colors, and feel is absolutely amazing! The build quality is out of this world. Though it did take about 15 weeks for me to get it, i understand with covid and everything, it makes sense. And with every hilt being custom made and machined to perfection does make sense with long production times. I live 2 states away and took only 3 days shipping. I haven't gotten around to dueling with my blade but after some mild testing the durability is honestly out of this world. I'm a lot more comfortable with dueling. All in all 9.5/10 from me with the only con is production time if you want one fast. If not then the production time could be a pro.

Many will say that it has bad features but my sound on my ultrasaber is great I have the premium sound, I have many different sound fonts and its loud and clear. I have almost never seen a brighter light than my saber and I have compered it to other sabers. Mostly I use mine for dueling and I have had it for one year now. The quality is the best! Many say that their sabers break after like one year or so but even if I hit my saber the hardest I can at my dueling partner it wont get a scratch.

One of the things about rebel sabers and crimson dawn (and others like dark wolf sabers and plenty of others) is that they resell LGT sabers. That is a Chinese company and you can see many of the same designs in several saber companies shops. Having been in the hobby for a decade I can speak somewhat to the companies with the longest histories. As mentioned in this video ultrasabers makes products with tech from the early days of the hobby. Believe it or not they used to sell PVC sabers, it where they got their start. While I agree with the review I just want to add one thing about the sabers. Besides the V2 models, the rest of their hilts are pretty thick and may be less comfortable to manage for petite hands. The other companies on this list tend to be thinner and easier to hold. I had seen Vader's vault back then but they mostly did custom one of a kind units that you can still see on their gallery. There was no combat class at the time, so I decided to get into sabers with ultrasabers. I joined the forums and spent basically all my free time getting into the community. I got several sabers and liked them. However, I paid extra for a forum exclusive color for a staff (two hilts coupled) and that's where it started falling down. The color didn't match and for a staff that's kind of important. I sent it back to get fixed and they sent it back red in stead of yellow and they refused to refund the extra I had paid. This was before control boards allowed for color changing. It never got better. I was still a fan and still on the forums and suggested they could come to the salt lake city comic convention because it was huge and there are lots of nerds here. The next event they were here so I went by the booth to say hi and they were the rudest most elite self important people I had ever met. By this time I had sabers from a couple different companies and this was the last straw. I swore off ultrasabers. Saberforge had more designs and they did a ready to ship thing from time to time so my first hilt came quick and I instantly felt the size was better and more comfortable. Over time though it became apparent the owner had a personality problem and lashed out at people sometimes. I did have a couple issues that were resolved without issue, but on their Facebook group I got banned when all I did was agree with the owner's post. Really weird. I also find their lack of transparency disturbing, they didn't always post their lead times so you would think you could just place an order and then you'll get your stuff soon, but it seems to always take forever. Vader's vault included more features like an internal chassis and recharge port as standard on their combat class earlier on the timeline than any other company. So the pricetag actually was much lower than the likes of ultrasabers, for instance, when you added any of the possible add ons to get a similarly featured hilt. They have some of the thinnest hilts for the most comfortable handling of any saber I've used. While their wait times can be extremely long they do have several ready to ship sales throughout the year and if you can jump on one of those you can usually get some pretty cool and unique sabers in a week or two. Saber Mach is good too, but they, like Sabertrio, have limited designs and often show out of stock. One company that I don't see mentioned many times but it has been around for the longest I think is The Custom Saber Shop. While for a long time they didn't offer a complete hilts they do have some options now. Mostly they just supported the community by offering a lot of custom pieces that you could put together yourself. They sell pretty much everything. They have LEDs, wiring, batteries, LED lenses, all of the parts you might need to put together your saber. You can buy the parts as they come or you can even message them and have custom work done to design a hilt that's just the way you want. Different colors for powder coating pieces, CNC machine work to cut unique profiles in parts, shrouds, lots of things. You can have them assemble things or you can just get the parts to build it yourself. It's more in depth though because a lot of things you'll have to DIY. Soldering wires and cutting internal chassis supports might be necessary, but you get to build your own saber from scratch, so that's fun. A note about Sabertrio is they release batches of a design so it's go to be on an email list to be notified when the design you like becomes available.

This video was well planned and well thought out, well done SW IRL. I have purchased a total of 5 lightsabers and received 4 of them. 1. DX Sabers a total scam I never received my saber nor my money back and have refused to continue business with them at all ever. 2. Korbanth I received very quickly I bought both my Vader and Anakin’s Skinnyflex saber from them which are probably my best looking sabers as far as quality. They were on the expensive side and I had to add the custom features myself such as the grip but overall happy with my experience with them. 3. Saberforge I like I’ve designed 2 lightsabers using their assembly parts service. They are good for dueling I just started practicing with them so hopefully they last me some time. They do take a while but it’s a lightsaber and I don’t have to put it together myself. Overall, I think it’s important to do your research first and compare the same saber you want from different companies. Me personally I go with Saberforge for customizing my own saber or dueling with. And I look for Korbanth if I’m looking for sabers to showcase only.

I have 7 sabers from Ultrasabers. I bought one years ago from their original Grab Bag option because I couldn't bring myself to spend $500 for a dueling lightsaber, having never bought one before. Won the lottery with a Dark Shock with Emerald and Obsidian soundboard. No battery problems. Heavy dueling against rattan and other lightsabers, and no problems or damage. Been about 6 years at this point. I planned a large purchase to equip my whole family, including 2 for specific cosplays. Spent 2 years planning it and probably would have spent another 2 years doing so, but pulled the trigger when they ran a 50% off sale. No idea why these huge sales (been 30-50% off for 6 months now). Got 4 with sound, from Obsidian Lite to Diamond (ran the whole gamut save for their neopixels), plus a pair of mystery box sabers that proved to be basic stunt sabers (no lottery win, here). Delivery took 3 business days from ordering. Was not at all ready for that. Especially for all the stories of slow delivery over the last 3 years. A lot of heavy and light dueling with the kids and 2 problems on 2 sabers have come up: The Archon v3.1 doesn't retain the blade well. The shallow cup of the emitter allows too much movement and it works loose of the hex screw after only a few minutes. I have to stop and tighten it a lot; The other is the Graflex turns green on impact at random moments and then back to blue at equally random moments. I haven't plugged it into my computer yet to run the troubleshooter. Another video says this is a common problem, but it's the only time I've seen it and that one video is the only time I've heard of it otherwise. The only other complaint is the onboard menu of my Diamond controller doesn't match the videos on youtube and linked to on their site, but the controller software provided the updated menu directions. In case I wasn't clear, I am happy with my purchases and will be communicating with the company about the random colour change issue to see if there is a fix or if they will do necessary repairs. No bad experiences with them as of yet.

I think it's very telling that the 2 companies that had "perfect" score both sell the same product. Crimson Dawn & Rebel Sabers are both vendors for LGT sabers. So are Darkwolf Sabers & Vire Sabers. All provide the same compatible LGT parts and cores. Although it's important to note that any replica sabers will have specific parts that aren't VHC compatible like most of the "build your own" designs.

Over the course of a few years, I have bought six stunt sabers with no sound with the standard battery setup(4 AAAs) from Ultrasabers. The only one That I had an "issue" with was my wife's saber. I bought hers with the Sunrider's Destiny (Teal) color. According to their website it is made with multicolor RGB LEDs and combining two diodes to create the Blade Color. When the batteries are almost dead the blade will turn green. As soon as I put fresh batteries in it, the original color was back. My son's and I are very hard on the sabers, especially my oldest. He is now 19 and we took them out for a bit of fun over the weekend and everything still works as they did the day I bought them. Overall I do believe that Ultrasabers have the most durable hilts and battle ready sabers for the money. I'm sure the heavy blades are the same ones as all the other companies use. I have been looking at Neo Sabers as a stunt saber with sound. They use an RGBx or XenoPixel core. My only concern is the lack of thickness in the hilt. I worry that the hilt from Neo Sabers will crack if hit too hard.

Although I might not be getting an allysaber due to the gambling aspect, I will be getting more neopixels in the future

So far I've bought four sabers from Saberforge. Three Gen 4 eco-sabers 1 apprentice warrior-tier saber. They take a couple day to respond if you need ANYthing but I feel the products for your money is NOT a miss! Granted if you buy from them I hope your not crunching out a Cosplay for a Convention, you must be patient it takes months to get your saber. (IF YOUR ON THAT IMPULSE BUY MODE THE ECO-SABERS DO THE TRICK)* they are physically thinner that the other sabers by diameter. I love mine SO FAR and I've not gotten to Duel yet.
