Speaking on the guy who did the thing to his girlfriend's kid, I remember when I was just a year or so out of the military, 30ish, I dated a single mom of two little girls. I had bought her a couple visits to a tanning salon. Completely surprised she asked me to watch her two little girls, 5 and 8 while she went to the salon. We were only dating like 5 or 6 weeks. I wasn't apprehensive about the baby sitting part but I was really really alarmed a mother would leave two little girls with a virtual stranger, a guy no less. Okay, she felt comfortable with me but how much can you really assess someone in a month. Well, I didn't date her for very much longer but some mothers .........

As a parent I really don't know what it would take for me to abandon my child to the court system. I would hope I could forgive and still stand up for them but I don't know. A parents love runs deep. I'd certainly die for my (now young adult) kids, if needed. 🤔💞💛

I can love a person and still think they need to serve every bit of time behind bars that they need to for everyone to be safe from that person. If you only have one kid then maybe you don’t have that same dichotomy. If one killed another? You still love one. That’s one hell of a mum. A mum that wants her daughter to have a chance at life, which is why they chose that little girl. I had a mum like that once, and if I hadn’t lost her at 9 years old ( her deathiversary was yesterday March 19th ) my life would have been very, very different. That’s the true test of a mother’s love. You would have to be the mother of an adopted child to understand. It’s a different kind of love and can eclipse the love you have for your biological children. Somewhere, some time…she made a promise to someone, to herself, that loving this child meant loving her through whatever unimaginable things may befall them. I want to hug her mum so bad for never giving up on her. I hope that little hellion knows how lucky she is to still have a mother. Most would think like you, and would reject the adoption; leading to worse outcomes in the end. Rejection of adoption, being the rejected adoptee absolutely destroys people’s lives. You don’t ever get over that rejection and it’s not like it costs the family anything. You don’t want your daughter anymore? You’re the only family she knows, but you’re going to erase her from existence? You’re going to just make her vanish? You can do that and it doesn’t cost you a penny, the rejected child pays the price in full. Day after day. There are no words to describe a pain so unbearable that it overshadows every moment. *Nobody wants you*. *You are nobody’s daughter*. You’re alone and nobody will ever look for you. *You belong to no one* and *no one belongs to you*. She’s a kid. A broken kid. Her brain won’t be fully developed for another 14 years!! All the things she overcame already. You’re not given up for adoption unless you were stolen from your mother or she was unable or unwilling to care for you. Her mum, god love her, truly. If there is a god, I hope she pours love and compassion over that family ( and that child’s heart ); because she knows the meaning of love in its most purest expression. I wish every girl/boy out there who is *nobody’s* finds and knows this kind of love. No matter their circumstances.

Jose Torres and Kayla Norton, a Georgia couple who were sentenced to 13 years and 6 years respectively for racial harassment of an African American family at a child's birthday party, even waving Confederate flags and pointing shotguns at the family. 2. Jacob Morgan, a South Carolina teenager who set fire to his house that killed his younger brother. 3. Ellis Nelson Ortiz, a Michigan man who beat a child to death. Bottom line: you weren't crying when you committed these crimes so don't start crying now in court. You should have thought about the consequences and repercussions of your actions before you did them.
