that's a shame because it looks amazing. i love a challenge and am on here looking to weed out the overly easy games in the genre, but this doesn't sound like the kind of fun challenge i enjoy. i recently played afterimage and loved it, which there were more metroidvania games like that. huge map, challenging, great level design, fun and fast paced combat. pretty much perfect in every way for a metroidvania. hollow knight was always my favorite, but it's a little too easy aside from some bosses. hollow knight really needs a hard mode, and not that stupid one death equals a game over that they have, just one where enemies do and take a little more damage.

@@Jack_80 If You played Afterimage and loved it. Then this won't be a problem for you. Go for it you'll love it... The map is huge... The gameplay is fun the power ups are well done and there's so many secrets to uncover. But it's very challenging... And it depends too on your personal taste... But after playing Afterimage you are very well capable of playing this one as well...

@@Jack_80 BTW Ender Lilies and Ender Magnolia will do you good as well if haven't tried them already. Fast paced combat just like Afterimage with gorgeous environment as well..

on normal difficulty i'm sure you're right, but my first playthrough was on hard mode and i found it decently challenging. and i think there's a higher difficulty above hard mode, which would definitely be more challenging than the majority of overly easy metroidvania games out there.

@@ghostgamingxd7881 grime is hard. HK is not. I beaten HK while shitting my pants on grime second boss (whispering mothers). Also if were not at metroidvanias most shmups are waaay harder than HK as well.

​@@ghostgamingxd7881 i will try to beat Whispering Mothers but rly WTF second phase... I told myself ok bye grime till i get chill again. Even if i hit lvl 50 i guess nothing would change because game is designed so that high lvl char can still struggle at beginning.
