I’m so glad you loved Moon Hill. I have that one on my TBR. Also, why are there so many Halloween short story collections but not nearly enough novels??? So weird. Who do I have to talk to around here to get me some full-length Halloween goodness?? Ooo and I added Apartment 5 to my kindle. Thanks for letting me know it’s Halloween themed 👻👻 I remember you talking about it a while back but totally forgot of its existence

If your a dollar tree and you see creepers books specifically gravedigger & mirror mirror I think you’ll like them I’ve just finished gravedigger it’s got Saturday morning vibes and mirror mirror seems to involve a house with magic possibly cursed antiques. Haven’t read the book yet.

I loved the Haunted Mask (read it as an adult as well), it is really good and the theme/message of the book really holds up no matter the age of the reader and I love when books can do that .

Excellent list. I just finished rereading SWTWC :) The first Richard Laymon I ever read was “Allhallows Eve”. I’ve been hooked on Laymon ever since! Perfect novel for the season.

Whoa, that edition of something wicked is INSANE! Where did you get that? I plan on reading Red Harvest this season. Been saving it just for this time of year. I don't know why I never connected Usher's passing as the Ushers from the Poe story. duh. LoL! every time you mention a laymon book you say "don't start with this one"

I’m looking forward to Harvest Home by Thomas Tryon! He also wrote another book perfect for the season, The Other. It was made into a film many years ago & still stands up today. (Not to be confused with the more recent The Others) The twist at the end is startling! 🎃👻

the autumn-crow books are ok not the greatest mediocre at best. i got a good one for you. you should read this year it has Autumn /Halloween vibes even by the cover of the book it's called The Scarecrow-by Samuel Small.
