I was a school nurse. The BEST! I left because I was a new grad RN and I wanted to expand my skills. Other low stress jobs include PPEC, endoscopy, and peds home health.

Nice video📸❤ I just failed the NCLEX, I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just need to get past this, move on and persevere

I was a school nurse and loved the job! Pay is on the lower end, great benefits….only downside was government politics, no support from your supervisor and principals who want to tell you how to do your job! I had one during Covid who wanted me risk my medically compromised students health to have them in the same room with someone waiting on the results of a Covid test. Needless to say they were not happy when I said NO and made things very difficult. I chose to go elsewhere😢 I really loved my 👧👦🏽

I am an LPN of 24yrs. Completely burnt out. I have been doing SNF. Worst job ever now! Hopefully I don't give up totally but the anxiety and stress are destroying me.

post partum is easy af BUT the nurses i knew were complaining because they kept getting called off and barely got any hours, unless you're in a hospital where babies are born alll the time. Also being an educator is stressful, most of the professors in my school seemed veryyyy burned out and have horrible attitudes.

I've been in L&D, ER, and OR, and wouldn't classify CM as low stress lol
@OO-be3jzАй бұрын
@@melissabrown550 I'm in CM right now. Only about 6 months in, I'm already about to quit.
@OO-be3jzАй бұрын
I left bedside to do CM. I'm ready to go back. Not only do you have to deal with administration throwing you under the bus, patients are mostly unhappy about being discharged from their hotel, ahem, hospital so they threaten CM all the time with bodily harm (last week, someone threatened to put a bullet in my coworker's head, and this is Texas where EVERYONE has a gun). CM are literally the face of the bad guy (my hospital actually posts photos and contact info in each room). And you would be appalled at how many people try to PERMANENTLY dump sick elders in hospital, until you call APS.

Did the 80k salary in your first year include any overtime?

School nursing is extremely stressful! You are constantly fighting with admin who believe that they are in charge of the nurse. No boo! Nurses are in charge of nursing. Stay in your lane! There are many unstable type 1 diabetic children that I had close to zero training dealing with. You're responsible for ensuring that the ENTIRE school is in compliance with their shots and physicals, field trips, etc. It's alot of work for one person😢

Hi! When I was a nursing assistant before becoming a nurse I floated to a bunch of units including PCU and thats when I found out I never wanted to be a nurse on a PCU or med surg unit! I think youd learn A LOT but the patient population and floor nursing was never for me! I love being an operating room nurse.
