@@fandomnewbie you'll love that book it's the first book in the gentleman bastard series. The prose, the plot and the characters all are so good that I can't find an adjective to do them justice. The only thing that's doesn't go well with the readers is that series is not complete, the last book is yet to come out and god knows when will Scott Lynch publish it, it's been already 8 years

The Great Indian Novel by Shashi Tharoor WHAT A. BEAUTIFUL book on Indian political system. He draws a parallel between Mahabharata and the Indian freedom struggle and how he puts his point accross that history repeats itself. Where Dritrashtra is Nehru as he was quite blind with his policy making, Vallabh Patel is Vidur very sharp, Duryodhan is Indira Gandhi where she strips the pillars of democracy (Draupadi). Uf what a read!
