I went to Grand Teton and Yellowstone in July. While I preferred Grand Teton overall, I still found Yellowstone to be absolutely amazing. My favorite spot was Hayden Valley. My routes over the 4 days I was there took me to Hayden Valley multiple times and I was never disappointed, including an amazing sunrise in the valley. My favorite moment though, was a 6:40 am hike at Brink of the Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I was in a space usually jammed with 50 people so early that it was only me and one other person. I got to experience the Brink of the Lower Falls in a way that too few do. The calm and solitude I got from that plus the sunrise bison jam in Hayden Valley made my third morning the park by far the most memorable.

Yeah Yellowstone seems to be a bit more uncertain with how good it can be. Grand Teton will 100% of the time be very good, but Yellowstone will sometimes be a little less good, or quite a bit better. For example during 2020 at Yellowstone I was able to see steamboat geyser erupt, which is the tallest geyser in the world, and that trip was incredible. Then this year there weren’t many animals, it was rainy every day I was there, and no special things that I saw. I still loved it with the different perspective it gave, but I feel others wouldn’t appreciate it.

Enjoyed the video! I'd add Morning Glory Pool, about a 3 mile roundtrip walk from Old Faithful. Aside from Grand Prismatic, it is my favorite hot spring in the park! Grand Prismatic, Artist Point, and brink of the Lower Falls are my top 3 in Yellowstone. All are incredible!

Wow, that ariel view of Grand Prismatic is incredible. From the air, it really shows just how big that hot spring is.Yellowstone is incredible. When I was there this last October Mammoth Hot Springs seemed very dry. I was really disappointed in that one section (loved rest of Yellowstone for sure.) I'm wondering if the flood from 2 years ago did anything to it or if it's just drier in fall. Going back again this June for a short visit so I might check it out to see if it's any better.

There's plenty of cool things to see with minimal walks. But you can still expect to walk a few miles in a day between the different sites.

All of these places are good to see, but if you don't like large crowds, you will want to avoid them all in peak tourist season. In the summer, your best bet is to head to the back country. More than 90% of tourists never go farther away from the roads than about a quarter of a mile. So in the back country it will just be you, other back country hikers you may meet and the wild critters of the park. Be aware that the animals you see are 100% wild and for your safety, stay away from them. The National Park Service says to stay back 25 yards or more, I suggest more like 50 to 100 yards, because at that distance they will ignore you. The closer you get to them, the more likely they will start to feel threatened attack you. Don't become a park statistic... Keep your distance! As far as the places in this video are concerned, if you go to the park in the early spring, right after the highways are open, or late in the late fall (in other words NOT tourist season!) you will most likely have the park mostly to yourself. The reason for this is in the spring there is not enough snow for snowmobiles or cross country skiing, but it's not quite summer yet and could snow anytime. Thus the summer tourists are reluctant to visit the park in that month or so of this "in between" season between winter and summer. At the end of summer is another "in between" season good time to visit for the same reasons in reverse. The summer tourists are worried about getting stuck in snow and the snowmobiles and cross country skiers don't have enough snow. This is about a month or so as well between summer and winter. Each of these have some unique advantages. The waterfalls are raging in spring, the fall colors of non-evergreen trees are beautiful just before winter. These are also very active times for animals. But remember these wise words on park visitation... *_"Take Only Pictures, Leave Only Footprints."_* and *_"Pack Out Your Trash."_*

Do you guys know if in this video 1-15 are in order for shortest drive?
@KevinEassa
@KevinEassa 3 ай бұрын
The locations on this list are in no specific order! I'm sorry if that isn't overly helpful. But the way we visit places like this is we add every place of interest to Google Maps and pin it as a "want to go" place. Then when you zoom out of your maps, you can see all of the pins and this helps show the clusters of destinations that would make the most sense for driving/visiting. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

The Yellowstone doesn’t even have tall peaks to appreciate the view, it is the most awful NP in the world just because the American people are not smart enough to take advantage of the opportunity, I hate them, They should have done some spa type of facilities, but kind of integrated with the environment, certain type of soak springs by mixing the hot with cold water, they could even make some INFINITY Edges, so tourists would be enjoying the views of the springs and wildlife, BECAUSE THE WAY IT CURRENTLY IS WHAT IS THE F*** Point of watching those bubbling pools in the cold without being able to feel it on the skin, it’s too hot I know, but they could mix it.
