I'm only going to say nemesis (and in the original I'm not a trash millennial I didn't play the REBOOTS cause I was actually an old person who played and beat the originals and I didn't cry for those reboots like those trash millennials did. Reality is they didn't ever need to be made, of those trash millennials were TRUE fans, they would have played the originals, be it on an emulator or the hardware, either or. The FACT those got made, is still imo just sad. So they don't exist in my world, since I have never and will never touch them. They only exist for millennials who cries for them to be remade, n only millennials play them. Rest of us OGs still have our original 1-3 and will play those whenever we need that taste of the pure original RE. We don't need to cry for them to be "remade") because he was a very memorable fight. Looking back at the original RE 1-3 I can't recall anyone being "as" memorable. When you finally fought Nemesis it was a pretty epic conclusion. (Still EZ as f but as I mentioned before I think that's just a RE thing, as I can't recall any boss actually being "hard", then again I have personally never played EVERY RE. So there could be one hidden in there somewhere) so I will just say that one, for the sake of it's memory.

If you're looking for your daily dose of nostalgia, sure. But mechanically, or even just aesthetically; not so much. Definitely accomplishes what the developers had aimed to achieve. However, he's very much a product of his time. So, yes. He's very much the best boss in the game for which he'd made his debut. And is likewise, arguably the best boss of the series up until that point. But for the series as a whole? Eh.

Rather than say, during a "boss encounter" (to keep in line with the context of the original post); is NOT the only determining factor in what makes, or fails to make a boss battle "good". Let alone, "the best". There are many contributing factors for which to determine the quality of a game as a whole. Or in this case, even a boss fight. And though I believe Nemesis to have possessed nearly all of them at one point in time, his encounter in the original game was not the end all be all to the formula that had made him so great in the first place. And though it may have been considered one of, if not THE "best formula" for it's time, it's not the only formula that's been implemented, or even just improved upon since it's introduction.

Knife causes more damage on this battle. It's harder if you are not used to the mechanic, but it's easier than using guns.

Ultimate Abyss can be easily defeated by using an item box exploit. All you need to do is open the box and when you close it he freezes long enough to get a free shot. Rinse and repeat. However UB has nothing on the Shadow Norman boss at the end of Ghost Ship Chaos. Probably the hardest boss in the entire series.

I like the list, but there is some bias or maybe it's just unclear. You just included games starting from RE4, and excluded spin-offs. It's more likely a copy and paste from another list on the internet, based on another list. Hahah You need to show criterions like: Terrifyingness, Thrillingness, Toughness. Some are very complex to evaluate; for example: Marguerite Baker has the best single boss battle in RE7, but Jack is a better boss overall since he's the best stalker and also has fist-to-fist battles in the DLC. Those things require proper explanation.

Not sure if you meant hardest, or just best boss fight. Miranda is fairly difficult and pretty good, but not one of the hardest or best, in my opinion. I found Krauser's final form to be one of the toughest - requires precision, quick reactions and a quick kill. If you're too slow, you'll get blown up afterwards! One of my favourites is Salazar. Can be tough (if you don't use the launcher), Epic visually and good fun to fight. Also worthy of mentioning would be El gigante, Mendez, Haos, Marguerite Baker and Moreau.

Huh. Never had a problem with Salazar, personally. In fact, throughout my nearly 20 years of experience with Resident Evil 4, I'd reckon the boss that's consistently given me the most "trouble" to Menendez. Though, that can easily be attributed to the fact that I refuse to use anything but the knife during the encounter. However, I CANNOT wait for Friday to get here so that I can finally discover, and experience the upcoming REmake's updated boss battle with Salazar. In fact, out of all the bosses to make a return, Salazar just might be the one that I'm most excited for.

In re6 Chris and Leon have a cqc fight and ends in a pretty solid draw, o Lu thing is Chris is definitely stronger but less skilled than Leon, so he wouldn’t need to be saved in the same way Leon did but he also may not have made it to that point

Kendub me who played re7 like 15 times and passed it and im 3 trophies away from platinum I'm a re7 expert I have the Albert gun infinite ammo walking shoes essence of defence secret of defence circular saw and x ray glasses I finished re7 on madhouse which was difficult and mia fight on attic is the toughest on maximum difficulty she can 2 tap you and the room is small and gun capacity is small too and marguerite ain't much of a deal I killed her on madhouse first try with saw Jack was so ez in chainsaw fight thanks to circular saw I killed Jack in 40 seconds thanks to the circular saw on madhouse and even tougher then mia attic was Jack mutated final Jack fight on madhouse oh boy took me 50 tries and I was so frustrated scared and when I killed him after so much days and days of tries I felt so happy :) and eveline is ez even on madhouse

List is entirely fanservicey. Lady D boss battle was easy af even on VoS. Every boss battle in re6 was overdramatic and forgetful. Im glad Capcom reverted back to horror, since re6 was waaaay too over the top in all aspects. Norman instead of Shadow Norman? Wesker in re5? For real? XD. Fight should had been more epic. And epicness isnt anything new to Capcom, considering Dante vs Vergil in DMC3 predated it. The boss that forces Chris's team mate to inject the virus into himself was more memorable than any boss in re6. And i forgot both the p2 controlled characters name, AND the name of that liquid looking boss.

This video just showcased how "boring" actual RE boss fights are (especially 7 and 8) like Jesus dude. Not even challenging or hard, it's literally like some trash Zelda crap, find the "pattern" then repeat for like mad unnecessary minutes. In other words why the f don't devs do one of two things, either A. Actually make your boss battles HARD not just some "pattern" people WILL eventually figure out. Or B. If u are going to opt into the pattern bs, at least make the battles SHORTER!!!! Cause holy f. Especially the RE7 and 8 bosses, just literally doing the same thing for like 10 mins straight. Just boring at that point and for a "boss" fight, yah 100% ANTI climatic. I know pretty much ALL RE suffered from that mechanic and why I said that's pretty much all this video shows/proves. But I personally hated 7 and 8 the most for doing it because not only did you have to deal with that boring BS u ALSO had to deal with (hands down) the most ANNOYING set if cast characters ever in the RE franchise. Whoever thought the family in 7 and 8 etc were even remotely "scary" like Jesus, that's sad. Those entire games, I was just angry because I wanted every single annoying f in those games to just truthfully STFU because all their ATTEMPTS at even trying to be "terrifying" FAILED. Failed so f'en hard. Only thing that saved 7 and 8 were graphics and the actual gameplay itself. The LORE/STORY for both sucked compete a** and the boss fights and the cast for both were just straight up laughable jokes. Hated both 7 and 8 n if they follow the same pattern, 9 is going to prob be same BS. 1-3 were the original REs, 4-6 is when RE took a more "action" approach with the 3rd person cam and well go play RE6 that's all that needs to even be said about "action" lol and 7,8 and most likely 9 (if following that same pattern) will be the same 1st person (trash) attempt at "being scary" lmao. 7 and 8 are horrible.....nothing but pure millennial trash (aka only people "liking" that game are the millennials, everyone else KNOWS, all those games got are graphics and the MAIN/CORE gameplay, rest is an ABSOLUTE joke) so can bet 9 will be same. So can't wait for RE 10? To see what, the NEW set of 3 games formula will be lol
