I feel like side deck sirocco is super slept on rn. Everyones just playing the vayu turbo or bw decks. Alot of that diva hero beat decks too. If u can afford the extra normal. They should absolutely be siding sirocco.

Sirocco is solid. It is largely reactive and leaves you vulnerable to opposing sirocco so some decks can't really take full advantage of this but it's generally pretty great

I love how most of these cards are fucking CLASSICS. Being able to spice up your cool 2010 Synchro deck with some niche cards from like 2003 is one of the coolest aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh in general but especially Edison in particular. In later formats everybody just started playing 2-3 copies of Maxx C, Rai-Oh and Effect Veiler as an answer to everything so the need to make these unique choices kind of dissapeared. But Edison rewards you so much for trying stuff out and being creative

It's quite interesting to see how weirdly specific protection was back then outside of a few monsters, most noticeably Venominaga which was the first monster to have complete effect immunity. Honorable mentions include Obelisk and King Dragun which can't be targeted by anything (Something pretty rare back then.) Some examples: Jurrac Titano has trap/monster targeting protection only, Y no spells? Different Dimension Dragon only has protection from cards that destroy but don't target Kaiser Glider can't be destroyed by monsters with the same ATK, like that's going to come up in a duel. But my fave is Koa'ki Mieru Valafar, a level 8 monster that has protection from traps that only destroy.... while requiring Iron Core as maintenance cost.

Newer to the format, but swords of concealing light was one of the cards I pulled out of my staples binder for my Edison binder as a tech. Aoe book of moon that locks those monsters facedown. Can also lock a ryko down too to give you a chance to play around it. Just not chainable obv

Both of those are OK options. I prefer things like Pwwb, mirror force, compulsory evac, book of moon, and torrential tribute.

I started playing more competitively around this era of Yu-Gi-Oh. I couldn't afford cards like D-Prison and Fiendish Chain at the time. So I would run 3 Compulsory and 3 Book of Moon. Lol The salt from the more "advanced" duelists at locals. "Really? Another one? Who runs that?" Lol

Descendant is bad? Lol, it's one of the best monsters in Edison. Pops a backrow before going into Arcanite which is one of the most powerful plays in the format. Opponent is forced to shotgun Icarus or other removal if he ran into the Spy or you can use priority to just get the effect through after you manually flipped the Spy. It also makes a Caius play more safe.
