thats weird.....PiT normal boss music was in it. but final boss is not. btw as far, i only played PiT and bowser inside story. i cleared PiT with lvl 26 both young and adult, and then 3 years later(wait!thats now) i realized it was such a low level. thats what makes me took 45 minute to get ending from the last save point.

The boss theme for Bowser's Inside Story always has a close place to my heart. Bowser's Inside Story was the first game i ever owned. I got it free with my dsi. I remember just pausing when it was the bros' turn and just listening to the music. It was one of my fondest memories of the video game world and it still is, along with the awesomeness that is Luigi.

Bowser's Inside Story was my favourite game and my first Mario game I think. It was the game my mom and I played, trying to beat each other's scores with the shell minigame. It was the game my step-father helped me with. God, that caterpillar. Took us a while. It was the game that made me chew the top of my DS to bits because of frustration. It was the game I was stuck on for a while. Not that long ago, I finally beat the full game. It was relieving. It was nice. It felt like how you could just easily let go of something without worry. I love the game and I always will. It holds a special place in my heart.

MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME IS BOWSER'S INSIDE STORY TOO!!! I REALLY DIDN'T THINK ANYONE WOULD AGREE! Hearing that #1 theme makes me happy, but also sad. It's over now, but never in our hearts. Platformer/RPG IS different fare from what we usually have, but most people would've preferred the RPG format for Paper Mario since we already get enough of platformer from regular Mario. I'm in that camp too, but I DO love SPM. It was one of my first Wii games, why wouldn't I?

A song for me that I hold with great sentimental value is the opening theme from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It's a beautiful song, and it plays during the intro to one of my favorite games of all time. It just oozes nostalgia and, for me, brings back memories of the good old days. You should definitely do a Top 16 Greatest Paper Mario Music Tracks, i'd love to hear your opinion on certain songs from the franchise.

Sometimes it feels like Mario was always meant to be an RPG series. These games and the Paper Mario games are undeniably some of gaming's greatest hits. I mean fuck. The song that defines this series for me is Plack Beach inside Bowser. While not my favorite in the series (I don't really have one) something about that music is so cheery and makes me so happy to be playing a video game. Anyways, this list was really a trip down memory lane. I haven't played any of the games since Dream Team came out, which is dumb of me, but these games really hold a special place in my heart. It's nice to see someone else with so much love for these games.

I noticed that some of your reasons were "I like the music", and others were "This music fit SO WELL with the moment in the game". That is me. Perfect example is the final boss(es)' music from Dream Team. Hearing them out of context, I loved The Final Antasma Battle better. But once I played the game, Adventure's End fit the tone of the battle better.

I love coming back to this video, it's such a great walk through my favorite game series of all time. Every time you start describing "In The Final," I tear up. BiS was my first true RPG ever. I don't even remember how or why I got it. All I know is that I will never love another game more, and "In The Final" is the crown jewel of the entire series, in my honest opinion. Not only was it a surprise from a Mario game, not only does it capture the weight and finality of this battle, not only the fact that the intensity of the battle itself is spelled out it's pounding notes, but for me, it reminds me of a simpler time. A time when the biggest thing you had to worry about was an even more evil Bowser destroying the Mushroom Kingdom. A time when you could simply sit down and play through one of the most epic stories ever told. It's probably mostly nostalgia talking, but I honestly don't give a flying Fawfulcopter! "In The Final" is and always will be my favorite piece of music of all time.

As a person that adores the series like you I think this is the best video I've ever watched in YT. I've seen this video like 20 times minimum and I still do to this day and everytime I watch It, it makes me feel emotional. Eight and a half years later and this little series still constitutes four of the best videos I have ever seen on this website, all featuring solid choices and insight, plus moments of absolute Oscar worthy comedy sprinkled throughout and top-notch production. I cannot give praise worthy enough to accurately describe just how good they are :D It's just a damn shame that in that time, we lost the studio responsible for making these gems of games. Rest in peace AlphaDream, your legacy will forever remain in our hearts :( And at least Yoko Shimomura's career is still going strong, with her still pumping out amazing music for games still to this very day.

Welp. You had my hopes sky high when my favorite wasn't heard, and when Bowsers Inside Story was the last game. Try Try Again is my favorite theme in the entire franchise. It's not spectacular. It's only really catchy, but it just sticks in my brain so well. I played Bowsers Inside Story when I was 8, and because I hadn't played another RPG before, I spent so many hours listening to this. Where now I play the game an take 30-45 minutes on a boss, as a kid I'd take days finding the Bosses weak point, managing my items and badges, learning the counters to every boss to the fraction of a second. Trying, Trying, and Trying Again. The fact it is in Sm4sh means I have to listen to it and only it on the Yoshi stage, and I've convinced my opponents in online tourneys to pick this as a counter pick, just for the song.

The opening theme of Bioshock made me sit and relisten to it quite a bit, but Sander Cohen's Masterpiece from later in the game perfectly encapsulates the madness of genius for me. Sure, it's just a short piano piece, but listening to it makes me feel like I'm walking a fine line between brilliance and twisted insanity, and I love it. I love how both frantic and flowing it is, the barrage of subtle notes mixed in with harsh strikes of the keys.
