I like Midbus alot. His character stood out to me alot. He was annoying, but lovable. I hated him, and loved him at the same time. I also like the Scientist Toad from Bowser's inside story, he was funny aswell. He had so much personality, enjoying startling Mario and Luigi with randomly yelling, and loved to boast about his accomplishments! But Bowser would have to be my favorite, especially in Bowser's inside story. He was badass, powerful, and was always being boasty about owning the mushroom kingdom with his fist. No, i almost shred a manly tear because it's true, Luigi is willing to put up with all the shit he's gone through just to stand by and help his bro, no matter what. That is some serious brotherly love right there. The idea to put Luigi in the driver's seat when it came to his dreamy counterpart(i use that term loosely seeing as dreamy Luigi is the same Luigi just in dream form) was a bloody brilliant one, it really does give him more development then even Mario himself if you think about it. I've gotta say, I was expecting at least one of the princes on this list. I'm not disappointed, just a bit surprised. I love Peasley and Dreambert, and not just because they're adorable. Peasley's ambitious and energetic attitude was quite entertaining for me. Nothing's more satisfying than listening to him brag about finding the Beanstar pieces and then owning his ass by getting them all. But I truly enjoyed his adventurous personality and his obsession with his good looks and fabulous hair. For a prince, he's pretty badass, even if he gets his ass handed to him. What I love about Dreambert is that he's the complete opposite. He's calm, easy going and a pretty enjoyable companion for me. Yes, he can be annoying with those tutorials but they way he was portrayed was different for me. He's got that charming feel to him. There's just something cool about helping a prince who's at least one thousand years old save his people and revive his ancient kingdom. Not to mention that I just fangirl on his design. He's not really 'handsome' like Peasley, but more 'cute'. I mean LOOK at him! He's so adorable I wish I could just hug him!

You know, looking back in Superstar Saga, I completely noticed this: Cackletta ain't crud compared to Fawful! Fawful did most, if not, *ALL* the work! He's completely seen *WAY* more than Cackletta ever did throughout the whole game! Heck, he even realized that *he* was actually the true villain in the game, only serving someone completely inferior to him! He even says so himself! Luigi, in my opinion is #1 he will stand above all. Mario couldn't of handled Cackletta AND Fawful all by himself which mean. When Mario is down Luigi brings him up and fights beside him ALWAYS. He wants to be Mario because no one appreciates him, everyone welcomed Mario FIRST and only one toad remembered to welcome Luigi in partners in time. None of the Mario & Luigi games would not even EXIST without Luigi. Sometimes Mario wants to be Luigi. Luigi was stronger than Mario I mean Luigi was the one to stand up to bowser NOT Mario. Not many games feature Luigi. In the giant battle between Luigi and Bowser before Luigi grew he shook Mario's hand to say "Try your hardest!" And the final reason why Luigi is #1, Mario wouldn't of even BEEN THERE to fight against Cackletta and Fawful because Luigi was the one to save Mario in Luigi's mansion I mean MARIO was the one to get captured while Luigi was the one to fight on. I agree on most all of this, especially Antasma and Fawful. I've heard people say that Antasma is a cliched villain who had no potential, I'm gonna have to show them this video because you summed up perfectly why that's not the case. He was definitely killed off too quickly. As for Fawful, I obviously agree because I share the same love for this character as you do. As you can probably tell from my avatar, I want Fawful to be DLC for Mario Kart 8 because he's one of the most developed and loved characters in the franchise. He most certainly deserved to be in that game more than Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina, and all the DLC characters (besides MAYBE Dry Bowser due to being a veteran)

Okay, i'll admit my favorite Bowser line from Dream Team is when he says: "Kiddnapping Peach II: The Bowsering!" I always chuckle when i see it and try to use a voice during personal playthroughs.

Down with Rosalina! Fawful shall rule all! In all seriousness though, I never understood why people (and Nintendo) love Rosalina so much. She's boring, does nothing, and looks almost like a palette swap of Peach with a different hair style! And she's only had a major role in one game, ONE GAME (I don't count the ending of Galaxy 2). Yet, she's in three Mario Karts, gets a baby clone, gets put in Smash (why they chose her over Waluigi I'll never know), is a secret character in Mario 3D World, made an appearance in 2 Mario Parties (and playable in 1 of them), and is DLC for the latest Mario Golf game. And what does Fawful get? NOTHING. Fawful deserves just as much if not more than Rosalina. He's entertaining, a fantastic villain, and has an original design. He needs to come back in the next Mario and Luigi game, at least as a cameo, and he needs to be in a Mario spin-off.

***** The lore and backstory isn't particularly interesting. So she helps a crash-landed luma, tries to help find its mother, and eventually leaves to live with them forever, big woop. She's only the fourth female protagonist in the main series (I'm talking pure platformers). Peach was there since the beginning and being kidnapped is kind of her thing, Daisy only got kidnapped once, and Pauline is barely even in the Mario universe anymore. Her motherly nature to the Lumas is only caused because they are the only things she has as a family. Sure, she may do it out of the kindness of her heart, but she's spent most of her life with them, and doesn't really know how else to treat them. Her powers are kind of...meh. Honestly, why can't she just save the universe herself after Mario collected enough stars? If her powers are as great as people say, she could easily kick Bowser's ass, yet she didn't. Also, one of the most heartwarming things in gaming? That's a little extreme. I didn't have anything against her before, but when she exploded into popularity and began appearing in everything it made me bitter because she's stealing the spotlight from other characters that desperately need and deserve it. Not only Fawful, but Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, the Koopalings (though they've been getting it back as of late...), even E. Gadd. I'm not against people for their Waifus either. It's just that she appeared in one game, and that makes her mainstream quality? I don't think so.

Aaron Tyra ut that's not her fault, is it? I mean... Just ignroe what the mainstream have done to her and enjoy her as a character, not as the surprising icon that she's become. Sure, she steals the spotlight for others, but at least she has some stuff of interest, at least to other people, even if you personally don't like her much. And too be fair most of the Mario RPG iconic characters are not getting any spotlight, it's just Fawful, and it doesn't has much to do with Rosalina. It's more like Nintendo focusing ore on the main series appearances. Sorry, it just feels like you're not liking Rosalina for the same reason people don't like Jr., because he "stole the spotlight from the Koopalings" (which is kinda true, to a certain extent). I know they're completely different characters, but yeah that's the feeling I get. As for the she could kick bowser's ass part, wel no. Bowser had stolen her power source, so she was pretty much stuck until Mario showed up. Then she helped him by freakin' destroying a good chunk of Bowser's airfleet and letting the Observatory near the galaxy's entrance so no other Airship could interfere. Usually, girl, princess-like characters from the Mario-verse don't do that much. That and the fact that her character is so much different from most of the Marioverse characters (well at least in the main games, as the RPGs tend to have marvellous character development. Y'know, like Fawful).

I completely agree with your reasons for loving Fawful as a villain. The idea of someone with little to no real power making their way up to the top of the ladder through brilliant schemes and back-breaking work makes me get really invested in a villain just as witnessing the hardships of the hero would get me invested in their heroic undertakings. When you show that the villain gives a shit about what they do, they become that much more of an imposing rival to the heroes, as well as the kind of villain you can kind of find yourself rooting for.

My absolute favorite M&L character is the Zeekeeper. Throughout Dream Team, he's told as this near all-powerful being, never to be trifled with, and who has protected the pi'illo folk for hundreds of years. And then you fight him, and it seems pretty much like that, with his giant battle probably being the most difficult. But that all changes once he sees Dreambert. He just goes full on Grim, just barely giving a shit about anything. It. killed me. And that shtick with Mario having to pay a million coins for his service. For me: Priceless.

One character I should always note is Dreambert. If I made my own list, he would be number 1. In Mario and Luigi Dream Team, it is like you you've known him throughout the WHOLE GAME. Even when he was a freaking PILLOW, dude! Does anyone know the difference between PiIllo and PILLOW?! Dreambert is a kind and calm prince, but not always. The TRUE Dreambert would never NOT have fury. He LITERALLY knows EVERYTHING about the island, and he teaches you everything about the Dreamworld.

Well, I wouldn't say Starlow and Bowser were from Dream Team, I'd say those two are from Bowser's Inside Story, their debut game in the Mario & Luigi series. (Bowser was in Superstar Saga, but only mind-controlled.)

The sentence "Bowser is best waifu" caught me so off guard I released a laugh so incredibly unorthodox and weird that it sounded like something that would be a signature laugh of a character. I have no clue why I released such a weird sounding laugh, which sounds nothing like a laugh but is still definitely a laugh anyway, an incredibly high-pitched and rapid sequence of "ha" that somehow doesn't sound like just an incredibly high-pitched and rapid sequence of "ha". It lasted for a few seconds but it was a very confusing few seconds.

He also has a rivalry with Antasma, also one of my favorite characters of every Mario game. Dreambert is always serious about things, and he always cares about his kind. In the final Antasma boss fight, he heals you every turn and before the Dreamy Bowser boss, he fully restores your HP and BP, which explains that he is very helpful. Also, can someone tell me why he likes juice, especially in Wakeport?

I was thinking, "Wow, he's putting Fawful as Number 1? Really?" and I was genuinely surprised at how well he explained himself. How Fawful went from a side character in Superstar Saga under the rule of his mistress, to the main villian in Bowser's Inside Story who got further to demolishing the Mushroom Kingdom than anyone ever had! He is truly one of the best villians, but had an unfortunate demise as he was trounced by the Mario Bros. and Bowser. I loved his explanation on why Fawful is the best character.

You know, Partners in Time is the only M&L RPG I've ever played (also one of my favorite games of all time). After seeing what you say about Fawful, however, I now want to get SS and BIS. Really great video! By the way, this video made me realize something... The fact that the main Mario games have no plot may actually be a good thing, as it then allows for the developers to easily make different plots and stories for these side series games without worrying about conflicting with the main games. These are their own thing, and they kick ass with it. On that note, I wanna go play through PiT again...

I like Starlow and Stuffwell, but i kinda hate being stopped so someone can tell me what to do. In Superstar Saga, you are given a destination, and then you get there using your own wit and adventuring skills. Very little is spelled out for you, which makes it very satisfying when you make the journey there.
