This list was just perfect! As an Inkbrush specialist, I was incredibly please to find that Blackbelly Skatepark ranked so low, and that Moray Towers, Hammerhead Bridge, and Flounder Heights ranked so high. Also, I love how your OC is a Chandelure! I feel like it's one of the really cool Pokemon that gets a lot of unfair flak. Definitely subbing!

I disagree with hammerhead bridge for these main reasons, but I like it for certain reasons: Disagree: 1: I hate how the middle part is all grates, (Through the top, of course) I can't really sneak up on anyone that easily, since you would fall through the grates as squid, so I decide to do some wall climbing. Wall climbing, though, is very frustrating, as you are quite vulnerable to people around you and other people above you. 2: It's either Middle, or Side, or, as for me, Die, or Die. I can barely get ANYWHERE no matter WHAT path a take no matter WHAT weapon I use. I can't seem to figure out the correct strategies. I will always find myself getting ambushed by someone, or attacking someone in a team. Did I forget to mention that I can barely get anywhere? oh, wait, I did. But did I explain why? Well, maybe. But the main reason is: The BEST weapons I use for that one don't have: A) A good special for it. or B) A good sub-special. And if they do, like all the time, I die quickly, so I can't use the special more than once (Maybe 2 times on lucky occasions) And the good sub-specials Make you run out of energy quite quickly. (Like all others except for burst bombs) That makes it hard to move around the map quickly without constantly refilling your ink. (Like most of the other maps) And 3: I just hate it for a reason I can't find. I just hate this part more than the other 2 reasons combined: Rollers & Sometimes Snipers... Now sometimes, it's just those other 2 reasons I hate about that map, but otherwise, I count those 2 problems as Tier 500/10, or, 500/5... Reasons I hate Rollers: They can sneak up on you from the tops, or Dynamos can easily out-range you if you have a short ranged weapon. They insta-kill you with there first move, and I especially hate Carbon Rollers. They're fast at moving around the map, and can easily surprise kill you with their quick attacking... Sure they don't insta-kill you with rolling, but they sure do insta-kill you with their freaking first attack... (Like all Rollers do) And Snipers, well, the main problem with them is that they can find good spots that people can't get to without waiting 10 seconds, and then dying to A) The sniper B) One of your teammates or C) A Special attack such as an Inkstrike... And they also have Good Range and can insta-kill you with a well charged, well aimed, good shot... Advantages: 1: Take all of the dis-advantages and make them good. You can do all of those, but there are other advantages, such as A) There are good hiding spots and good spots for covering yourself as you regen/not die. B) Like I said before, there are good hiding spots, but you can also use them for tricking people, and they're good sniping spots... and C) People with height (Or, people that are high up) Have a good advantage to lower ranged weapons, just like every map. But this one has lower walls, allowing you to hit them quicker, which gives you the opportunity to get a quick kill/splat. But just remember: They can sometimes kill you, too.

My thoughts on your choices 16. Finally, someone else who agrees with me on this being the worst map in the game 15. I love this one, but I understand why someone wouldn't like it 14. This one's decent imo 13. Actually one of my favorite maps in the game 12. I don't really like this one that much 11. I like this map a lot 10. This is one of my favorites in the whole game, and you probably won't hear anyone else say that 9. A decent map, it's not great but it's definitely enjoyable 8. Another one I like a lot 7. Camp Friggertish [inside joke, a friend of mine called it camp friggertish instead of triggerfish. Also, avoiding potential murder attempt by a certain MLP character turned ladybug from Bravest Warriors] 4. The Reef 5. Manta Maria 6. Mako Mart 7. Shellendorf Institute [WHY CAN'T YOU INK THAT WALKWAY OVER THE CENTER?!!] 8. Port Mackerel Also 8. Starfish Mainstage [Both are kinda meh] 10. Skipper Pavilion [Kinda forgettable despite being the most recent map] 11. Wahoo World [I think the theming is great, but the rotating pillar in the center was what killed Museum D'Alfonsino in the original game for me, and WW didn't do it much better] 12. Yes, Hammerhead is one of my top favorites. My favorite when I was new to the game in November was Camp Triggerfish because I did not like close range weapons, for me to not have range freaked me out & having the separate sides where I can reach without having to access it since at the time I felt more comfortable being closer to home, it was glorious. Time moved on & I got more experimental. The Carbon Roller Deco made me appreciate rollers. Using seekers helped made me feel more comfortable & opened me up to rollers then I started using ink brushes. Still to this day, my favorite weapon is the N-Zap 89 since it has a nice, fast fire rate & just enough range to keep me happy. Also the best sub/special combo you can ask for. It's just having the low damage output forced me to try & avoid enemies of which I did & when I came across them, I used tricks to give me the upper hand or tentacle in this case. One of my favorite tricks being, the sprinkler decoy. Yeah, if you've never used it or seen it being used, pretty much throw a sprinkler down when you see an enemy then when they start shooting it, you shoot them. The reason why I took the time to explain this is because it ties into how Hammerhead Bridge is my favorite map. Usually, I run down the bridge at the very beginning. I shoot the ground below me to cover turf & get whoever is below once you're far enough in as well. I fill up at our middle platform & throw a sprinkler at the opposing team's middle. This always draws in my bate for a splat & I can then carry on my way. By the way, I will sometimes use the Splash-O-Matic on that stage but I'm just throwing suction bombs & having a blast out of everything. I always seem to be able to lock the other team at their spawn point given I have ink recovery up equipped & I can manage to get enough ink back by the time my bomb explodes to throw another. I also can be hard to spot since I try my best to not stay in the same spot & no, I do not use ninja squid so if they aren't distracted by the suction bomb & see where I retreat to, it can hurt me. I do realize I am a massive jerk since a pleasure I get on Hammerhead is the fact that I like having people being beneath me. I feel so powerful & I even get this evil smirk once I spot a roller or something that can't do much to fight back against me unless they realize I'm there. I have too much fun shooting at those who are under me.

Three words: Fuck. Moray. Towers. Of all the maps in Splatoon, this one is the only one I actively avoid, and the only one I've never once had a good time playing. The narrow walkways, the excessive verticality, the focus on chargers... Everything about this map is just frustrating to me, and every time I think I finally get it, someone snipes me or randomly pops up from one of the ledges and ambushes me. Oh, and in ranked battles this stage is somehow even more frustrating. Splat zones has the two zones miles apart and near impossible to defend, Tower control is essentially target practice for E-liters, and Rainmaker has ledges for the carrier to climb up and get a huge lead, and it's impossible to stop them cause there's so many ways to go and the map is too huge and half my team is dead and fuck me why is this the map the brought back for Splatoon 2?

I feel like Bluefish Depot is one of the most fun to play on because the main choke points are divided and equal, and allow a wide variety of weapons to be used. Plus it's more of a win-more map, where if you get the upper hand you can get more area to cover.

I believe there is one major glaring issue with the spawn points and that is with how inklings hold weapons. All inklings hold weapons in the same hand for every weapon and that will be bad if you spawn on the side where you get a disadvantage overall and makes it harder to win overall if your stuck on that side.

Blackbelly Skatepark is one of my least favorite stages in between both games, and people usually don’t complain about Camp Triggerfish. I applaud you guys for putting them low, instead of the normal Moray Towers or Kelp Dome

Honestly I would put arawana mall at 14 and camo trigger fish at 15 because as a roller main I can go anywhere without getting sniped by literally any weapon that can get up high and isnt a roller. Also camp trigger fish is quite the cramp map and your really need to know the map to get on the other side even if you are a good player so of you play it often it's really easy . So idk Also I'd put moray towers very low I understand that its probably quite fun for other mains but rollers either get sniped to high hell a d people end up just playing handys in the center plaza or I plow throught there ink straight to there spawn and I just camp it out while everyone else just swim behind me and kill people infrount of me. I cant say anything about number 1 because I've been playing splatoon since launch and feel like I never get it I've re picked up splatoon maybe 6 months ago and I only got to play it 3 times since then.

I agree with you on Flounder Heights, especially if you're using a N-Zap 89 on Splat Zones. My only problem with Kelp Dome is that there aren't any good sniping spots, which is a big problem when an E-liter is your second main. Also, BRIDGECEPTION

I personally believe that Blackbelly Skatepark is the best stage in the game. There are many paths to take and I am a fan of the slopes. They are, in my opinion, super fun to traverse!

Very well said. I do agree with 16. But I love Blackbelly. I prefer smaller maps because I usually use the inkstrike, so if there's some ink around somewhere; I can always get over there quick and fix it. :)
