I need them to stop putting this much pressure on Jungkook. It's really not healthy to be managing all those lines, dancing intensely, wearing tight clothes, and still expected to look perfect! I honestly feel for Kookie, only he knows how much pain he must be going through. Bighit please be nice with the line distributions and give some more to the others. Or one day Jungkook is not going to be able to handle it. He's human, he's only turned 21 recently, he has all this pressure on him, and he works too too hard. All of BTS do, but when I saw Jungkook dancing on stage till he passed out, I knew there should be some limits. As an ultimate Jungkook bias, I won't mind if Jungkook has the least amount of lines or whatever because to be honest he needs to rest more. His voice is special enough so I'll be fien with it.Just please don't make Jungkook suffer too much to the point one day he just won't be able to handle it.

The unequal line distribution was a feature, not a bug, sadly. The line distributions for all the songs written for the show were written in such a way to foster competition over the main vocalist spots. At least that's how it seems since all the songs were that way.

Jungkook has an amazing voice but personally I think they could've switched up the chorus in DNA a little instead of having him sing as much of it as he does, to me it gets a little repetitive and bland (mainly cause of the autotune that sorta muffles and chokes their voices). Jk's vocals is still 12/10 though god bless

Yeah he does (and god bless his voice too). I still think jk has significantly more lines though? and it's not that giving certain members more lines in some songs is wrong at all, I just think they could've distributed them a little more evenly in DNA since I personally found the chorus to be a little repetitive. To me, jk's and jm's voices have a pretty similar tone too (they are certanly distinguishable don't get me wrong, they just have a very similar feel) and I just think the song could've benefited from a little more variation in the vocals during the chorus ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

roy stal Beside Girl's Day and G-Friend I'm not a fan of the other groups. As I said, Girl's Day had a decent line distribution just because the song it is heavily based on strong vocals. As for G-Friend it is usually like this, Eunha and Yuju gets most of the lines, nowadays Umji started to rise and her lines increased. Sowon and Yerin are the only ones that need to get lines.

With BTS dna I think how it should be done is (I did math in my head which is never a good thing) that Jin V and Jimin all get 30seconds of lines and if they all got that amount then that’d still leave jungkook with 41 seconds which would make sense since he is the main vocal so he’s gonna have more lines. The rappers were quite evenly spread even though some of hoseoks was just ‘lalalla’ he still slayed in the mv like all of them did. Just my opinion on how the distribution between the vocal line should be

I know that Jungkook's so TALENTED and why he has so much lines is because he's the main vocal,sub vocalist and lead dancer so yeah..but! Okay, here are my thoughts on a few of these: 0:06 It's a slow, vocal heavy song so of course the vocal line will get more than the rap line, which is really common in kpop. 0:33 Perks of being the Main Vocalist in a vocal heavy song (as well as being the 'Face of the Group') 0:55 This is an again, vocal heavy song with no rapping so of course vocal line will get more than the rap line. Also, Joy didn't get any lines because she was filming a drama at the time. This song wasn't a comeback, only a station song. Any produce 101: Remeber, these are not idols but trainees. Some were ready to debut, and some are not. They gave out lines according to their current vocal ability. 2:07 Perks of being the only vocalist who can really rap, the only rapper considored a visual, and the only visual in the dance line. Jungkook is the Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Sub-Rapper of the group so of course he's going to get a lot of lines in a song focused on combining vocals, rapping and dancing like this. Also, he is the Face of the Group and the groups center. 2:31 After Produce 101/I.O.I, "Yeonjung" became more popular than "WJSN", so of course Starship wanna give her a lot of lines to try and appeal to the market. Also, she was referred as "Produce 101's Best Vocalist", so Starship is taking swell advantage of that.

i honestly dont mind the line distribution of DNA. keep in mind that BTS along the the producer choose who they think should sing the arts. • stop focusing on how much seconds a person is singing. yeah Jungkook got 40 seconds but every member had a part where they could be noticed.the only members that parts arent that significant are Jhope and jimin (in my opinion) • Jungkook is the main vocal. he gets he sings all the choruses which is why he gets all the seconds. • Rappers do mostly the verses so its not likely for them to get that much seconds. but the verses are noticeable.

And, people can’t seem to realize that these distributions aren’t actually bullshit. They give lines to the one whose voice fits the part best. Jungkook is the main vocalist because his voice is the most diverse and can fit probably whatever part they give him. While, yes, it would’ve sounded nice if someone else sang the chorus as well, BTS and their other producers gave it to Jungkook so that us fans could have the best quality of the song. Jungkook deserves every line he gets just like the other members do.

I have a huge problem with how people calculate line distribution in kpop groups. Most videos that I've seen only show how many seconds each member gets to sing/rap, but that's not the correct way line distribution should be calculated in my opinion. Here are my reasons why: 1. Rappers tend to get shorter parts because rapping a verse takes a shorter amount of time than singing a verse does 2. Some background vocals are done by other members, but get overshadowed by the vocal who is the main voice of a verse or chorus 3. At the beginning of someone's career, they might not have a strong enough voice meaning that they will get less lines, but will probably be given more as their technique and vocal quality improves 4. Some idols aren't confident in their vocal abilities and could ask for less lines and focus more on being a visual or dancer I realize that there are still a lot of songs that still distribute unequally between it's members, but counting the seconds given to a member shouldn't matter. It should be the actual number of lines given to one member. For example, if one member gets twelve lines to sing, a rapper can also get twelve lines to rap, but the rap will end faster than the singer obviously. This has always bothered me when I've seen line distribution videos, and if you made it this far into my comment I'm just pointing out my logic to all of this. Of course I know that there are flaws in line distribution in groups, I just wanted to point out the faulty way of calculating line distribution that a lot of videos I've seen have done. Anyway, I'm done. Goodbye.

Well who we are to judge. I'm sure everyone even the production team wants everything to be fair distributed. But it has to do with the voice tone, the music concept, the dance choreo, etc..I'm sure a lot of aspects that we didn't know are contributed to make the line distributions. I don't have a problem with that as long as the song is good, produced well, and more if it have deep meaning. And I believe every member has their own skill and charm and they can have spotlight in other things. If we complain about line distribution, then later we will complain about the screen time, etc..we will never be satisfied. There is a lot of hardwork behind one song or one mv. Let's appreciate that.

I don't know if this makes sense and I know they are of different musical culture but think of 90's boy and girl group outside Korea. Westlife, Backstreetboys, Spice Girls, etc. Some members only sang in chorus and worst they sang all in chorus. In a group, there are strong members, who can sing well. This isn't surprising in kpop, since this has been going on for a long time. There will always be some members with the most number lines and some with close to barely any lines. Sometimes it is understandable why some members gets the most lines... usually it's because while they are dancing, they are able to hold their singing well. Not saying that the other members can't sing well, but dancing and singing at the same time isn't easy.
