You speak from a colonized perspective. Fortunately, not all mexicans are mental slaves of colonial settler conditioning and propaganda It is not that foreigners appreciate our heritage more than mexicans. The vast majority of foreigners simply use so-called cultural appreciation as an excuse and pretext to justify settler colonialism and as a way to try to appropriate our lands, our cultural patrimony and even our identity! Tourism in Mexico only functions as a tool of colonialism for it only contributes to the exploitation and pillaging of our cultural patrimony, to the displacement of our populations and to the ethnic cleansing against Mexicans This is so because it is the criollos, the Spaniards, the gringos and other foreign settlers who really control our government and our institutions. These foreign groups are actually antinative/antimexican settlers. These groups hide behind the Mexican nationality and identity and they only use tourism as a means and neocolonial tool to pillage and profit off the selling of our cultural patrimony

My favourite part was about Palenque, it's one of the most beautiful parts of Mexico with yet more rich history. Oftentimes we associate Mexico with the Aztec Empire, which is valid, but we forget how vast and widespread the Mayan empire was. And it's very exciting to know that we've only researched and catalogued the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Palenque.

Mr. Laukatis. For us the Mexicans it is very astonish, even very funny , find how the U.S. people get a huge surprise after travel around our country. U.S. have more extension than Mexico, but the culture is quite similar with exception of very specific region like Louisiana, where some people talk enven today an antique version of French. Mexico is megadiverse, with 68 different languages, un numerous variations of several of those languages with around 368 recognized variations, but it is very hard to affirm the exact number. Only the Maya have more than 12 variations. En Europe, the list of main languages are 23, with several dialects in some cases. The distance between Isla Mujeres to Ensenada by route, is similar than Cadiz in Spain to Moscow. If you travel around México you could find as many cultural diversity as if you travel around Europe. The U.S. people have in mind the worst version of Mexico. Yes, in some regions they a very violent way of living due to the drugs traffic, traffic certainly to U.S., but those regions are exactly near to the border of U.S.. Travel around Mexico implies be outside the hot regions and have some precautions, but it is very safe.

Jacob, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being one of the most inspiring people I've known in the past two years. Thank you for showing the beauty of all those different cultures, people and countries. around the world. Thank you for making me lose the fear of the unknown. Thank you for making me stay curious. Thank you for making me feel that it is possible to achieve all my goals and dreams. Thank you for all those beautiful rice fields in Flores. Thank you for showing me the kindness of the people in the slums of Mumbai. Thank you for showing me your struggle and success on your way to the top of the world in Khardung-La. Thank you for those bike rides in Vietnam. Thank you for all those volcanoes, mountains and roads. Thank you for showing me that it is possible to travel the world with only the basic stuff. Thank you for showing that life is short and we shouldn't waste a second. To sum up, thank you for all your work inspiring other people sharing all those wonderful moments with all your audience. You don't know me, but I hope that some day we may meet in a random beach in Indonesia, in some ruins in Cambodia or in some random village in Latin America. Thank you for everything, Jacob. #WeAreExploriors

I'm from the state of San Luis Potosi and it brings me great joy seeing that your top favorite destinations were in my state. San Luis Potosi is often overlooked, but it is full of many beautiful destinations that many people are unaware of. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there!

These places are perfect for Exploriors not only because they are incredibly beautiful, but also as you said: it is hard to get to them. I love the places which are remote from civilzation because I can explore much more by looking for a right way. Tamul Waterfall is a new place to visit on my bucket list. :D #WeAreExploriors
