Point 1 is not completely true. You were literally sitting on the road which was not only illegal but dangerous too. Vehicles passing by were using horns to make you aware about their presence so that you by- mistake do not come on the road. Edit: illegal if you park close to white boarder line of the road Also India is ranked in top among countries with most road accidents so ya they are just being careful Note: we don't honk to say hi to people. Exceptions to this rule too but only to our know.

Why the selfie thing? 😂 not that I find it bad, just curious! I am from Spain Europe and I am India since 2 years. I have mo problem with taking selfies. Just sometimes maybe you had a bad day or you feel your hair doesnt look good 😂🙈🙈 and you dont feel like being in 10 diferent photos. So sometimes its a bit difficult bcs I like to look good in photos 😅😅 Or because I am tired that day. Anyway its kind of funny I just never understood why people wants a selfie🤔
@dOVERanalyst
@dOVERanalyst 3 жыл бұрын
@@Agape122 In India, people take selfies with cows too. We Indians love selfies as memories. Even though everyone is not a vlogger like me, it serves a cute little memory for us. It's like going home & saying, hey look, mom! Who did I meet today? It's the obsession of being a good host. (We believe out guests are God. Also, the tagline of Indian tourism). Indians are so insanely proud. We just get so super duper happy that you are visiting our country. We want to show it off. So, there it goes on our social media stories. See how many tourists are coming to see my incredible India. (I know all humans must be proud when they see tourists in their country but...Indians are like, another level proud & happy that you came to visit us). I hope I could explain the reason. I understand what you say about looking good. But the basic essence of a photograph is not to look good, a memoir like this, is to record life as it is, accepting of your flaws, accepting & flaunting how tired you're because you saw the Incredible India! (Just as iWeigh says you're worth more than your looks.) It's about living the moment regardless of how you look. It's about owning that one second of frame that would lapse, if not clicked. It's not a modelling show. No one cares how you look. You're a guest. And you're our God. You're important to us. We share a little frame with you to show you how welcoming we are. We're obsessed with hospitality. It's just an Indian thing.

I am from Spain but I have been living in India for more than 2 years. Ahaha the " where are you from" thing 😂 I get asked daaily several times, and eventually I made up a country which doesnt exist just to have a little bit of fun amd see people's reaction trying to figure out where my country called " Ulankala Iseland"😂 is. All the things he says are true are very good tips. About the selfies thing I agree, I understand and I take selfies with families kids or with anyone who comes with is an inocent actitude. But sometimes drunk man aproach you and they wanna take a photo being like all over you to show they partied with a foreigner and I find that a litlle disrespectfull. That may happen simply on the street where you were not even partying just taking some quiet dinner, specially in north Goa. Its not a big deal but sometimes you just had a bad day or something and you dnt feel like being in 10 diferent photos with random dudes, and you dont feel comfortable, I think they should aslo sometims make an effort and understand you are a person too and that you are not something just to entretain but also have your life and your boundaries. Of course I am not saying this happens often but it does happen. But most of the time indian people are just incredibly welcoming and helpfull.

And about selfies, I would like to tell you one amazing thing. If you travel in India, you will see that people are always eager to help you, even when they can't speak English. They are always ready to talk to you and be friends with you. In India you can't just miss your family and all. But if an Indian travels to western country, or else let's say, even if you travel to other white people country, you will feel lonely. People mind their own business, it's not cool. For them money and job is more important. Indians look for happiness in little things.

I was laughing when I started watching... But slowly I got worried that India might not be leaving a very good impression on foreigners. 😅 I mean the stolen camera and scams were a black spot! I am not very happy about it. But, India is so much more than these things. Our diverse culture, languages, backgrounds, history, traditions, values, etc. makes us proud. The 11th point was very much true. We ourselves criticize different situations in India all the time but when an outsider says anything, we get very possessive. Coz we are very proud of values our ancestors left us. It's just how it is!! Btw....Your experience can be outstanding in India. You just have to meet the right people....😊 Loved listening to this!!!❤

@Subhajit Choudhury Northeast is way too green, hilly and cooler than kerela. Although Kerela is an amazing place to visit? The problem in Northeast is that the infrastructure isn't developed to touristic levels so travelling can be a problem. But if you're a Biker it's a heaven for you.
