very nice and lovely tone but the arpeggios of house of the rising sun weren't good at all, you were too fast and when doing the down stroke motion you shouldn't be hitting the high e string, only when you're "coming back" via the up stroke motion for the last three notes (the Am at 4:21 is right but the D and F before and the E after it are wrong again. Maybe you wanna work on these. It's the details here that matter). But apart from that it's great

Are you refering to the nut ??
@Rugarus8 жыл бұрын
It's like at the start of the first fret, I don't see it on other guitars.
@guitarist64948 жыл бұрын
Ohhh you mean the locking nuts. All guitars with a Floyd Rose (or locking tremolo system) have them. They clamp down on the strings and prevent the strings from going out of tune when using the whammy bar

I bought the official individual sheet music for Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven, and Enter Sandman when the Black Album first came out. Tab an' all, with no piano arrangements, it's says at the beginning of Sandman: Acoustic Gtr I: Let Ring Electric Gtr II: Slight Overdrive with Wah My ears have always agreed; it was recorded on an acoustic. I've never been satisfied with any clean tone that electric players have put out when attempting to play that song. Even Rock Sugar's - Don't Sop the Sandman off Reimaginator didn't sound right; but then it wasn't supposed to, not exactly.
@sydneytimmermans7 жыл бұрын
Far Behind by Candlebox is also a good one.
@StampyDog996 жыл бұрын
On enter sandman, you need to hold on the 5th on d string, if you listen to the song you can hear it ring through (alternatively you can play the open g and it sounds the same, its just not the way james plays it)

Palm muting? You dampen the vibration of the strings using the edge of your palm with your picking hand. In other words, lightly rest the edge of your hand on the strings. Make sure its close to the bridge, otherwise you will get a muffled sound. ...I'm probably not the best to explain things but you can easily search, "How to palm mute guitar" through KZbin or Google
