Yeah. I am glad I had stopped watching Disney Channel mostly at this point. Camp Rock 2 was terrible in my opinion. Lemonade Mouth and Radio Rebel are terrible in my opinion. Austin and Ally was mind-numbingly stupid in my opinion. I swear Disney Channel executives clearly thought that kids liked their shows and movies to be increasingly dumber. Whatever happened to having Disney Channel movies like "The Color of Friendship" or "The Cheetah Girls". Movies that had some semblance of being actually educational and not mindless television.

Ally from Austin and Ally is an extremely overhated character. A fair amount of people who have seen the show, whether they are fans or not, actively hate her, and for the life of me, I can’t figure out why they do. First off, she is the most relatable character in the show. All four of the main characters are relatable in one way or another, but Ally is the most relatable. Sure, Ally can be bossy sometimes, but her positive characteristics eclipse that. She’s selfless, empathetic, caring, responsible, and kind. She literally goes the extra mile to do something nice for someone else. Not to mention, she’s cartoonishly awkward and dorky and I find it totally adorable. Austin and Ally is one of my all time favorite shows, Disney Channel or otherwise, as well as my comfort show. I’m not apologizing.

But the actors that played Derek and Casey loved the fans reactions so much that they purposely play it up for the fans of *Dasey* their couple name. They totally support it. I am sorry, the “steal your heart” scene was awesome and iconic. I did not feel he was flirting really, but just having fun. The girls had fun but it doesn’t seem like they were led on. Good Luck Charlie for example came out when I was 16 and a half, I still thought that show was good, even tho I didn't watch it all the time. Then I watched it all the way thru for the 1st time on Disney+, and I was impressed by its high quality, and I'm saying that as a person in his late 20s. If u put that show side by side with Jessie or Austin and Ally, it's not hard to see which obviously has better writing, acting and humor and not just "good for the time" humor, but humor that is genuinely funny

Is it just me, or has the Disney Channel become more cringy with each passing year? Gone are the days of classic shows such as "Even Stephens" and "The Famous Jet Jackson," the shows I grew up with and were arguably the network's golden age of teen entertainment. Now we get shows containing episodes with some really bizarre premises, featuring acting that is as equally awkward as the teenagers performing on screen. Of course, I could just be bias given that I grew up with the classics, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Look you're right but shows like That's So Raven, Suite Life Of Zack and Cody and Wizards Of Waverly Place r genuinely great. Yes the premises of these shows were not realistic but they still managed to deliver top notch humor, memorable moments and likable characters that still felt grounded despite their main shtick, especially with That's So Raven. Mind u I was 11 and a half when the Suite Life premiered, it was the 1st Disney Channel show I saw the premiere for, and I've revisited many episodes as an adult, and for the most part it still works. I laugh harder at it now than I did as a kid, same with Raven

I was 14 years old (nearly 15) when I watched “Bet On It” in HSM2. It broke Disney Channel for me. It began my eventual disconnect from Nickelodeon in 2008 (I couldn’t take Camp Rock) and Cartoon Network when CN REAL destroyed the channel by 2010.

The Lemonade Mouth moment in the honorable mentions is not off rhythm? Its called accents and off-beats? Thats like...a legit element of music? Also the comment about the dancing or real life skills of an actor do not apply to when they are playing a role. 9 times out of 10 the actors and actresses do not get to choose what dance moves they do or what the script says. Most of this list is just a bi-product of the Purity, Good Intentions phase of Disney (which i do admit is still cringy in most cases)

I am sorry but the only things I agree with from this list r the terrible rap battle from Adventures In Babysitting and Caitlin's dance/beat scene from Camp Rock. The former is just terrible because the rhymes have no edge, flavor, memorability, energy, or top notch delivery. If u want a GOOD Disney Channel rap battle, look no further than Let it Shine, that's where it's at. The latter is bad because of Caitlin's beats, Mitchie's "She's really good" and especially the "Whatever Major Loser" thing, not because of Alyson Stoner's wavy arm dancing. The ones that came from Jessie, Austin and Ally, and Radio Rebel, I skipped because I didn't watch those, nor do I care to watch them
