About two decades ago, Jennifer was interviewed by Diane Sawyer. It was done when Friends was about to end. She was asked about Matthew’s struggles and she broke down just like she did here. He was Jen’s age and as sensitive (she’d once revealed) as her but I don’t think he was as demonstrative and expressive about feelings as her. Jen broke down again when Diane showed pictures from her childhood that she hadn’t seen, published in her estranged mother’s book. Instead of comforting and offering to change the subject, like Quinta did here, Diane told her there’re more pictures in the book, gesturing at her to flip the pages

I think a lot of shows fail to understand the importance of an ensemble cast. Friends really made history by all the cast members fighting for equality - especially with pay. I see a lot of shows fall apart because there is always ''a star'' and the other actors feel either in the shadows or they are getting paid less. Ensemble casts are also way more fun! There's much more character dynamics and they are always my favorite. Having a lead in a show... honestly off balances everything. I can't explain it. Other shows need to look up to friends tbh. actors should be fighting for equality not the spotlight.
