Exia showing up again in the 2nd season of 00 was such an immaculate scene. Some of the viewers forgot the Exia due to 00 Raiser's overwhelming capabilities and hype. But the moment Exia dove into the battlefield with bravado for one last mission, the childhood in me just screamed.

I would say that the Air Raid in Gundam Hathaway deserves a place on this list for the sheer scale and weight of the mecha it portrayed along with its impacts on the civilians. But as a longtime Gundam and mecha fan, I would have put Norris vs Shiro at the top of my list as well!

Cool list. I think what I would have added are Gundam Thunderbolt. The MS fight in the city in Hathaway with how epic and to-scale it all felt. And Eureka's introduction as the Iron Maiden in Hi-Evolution 3. From the sequence of her mech dropping from orbit to putting the enemy mechs in their place. It was one hell of a scene.

Barbatos vs Hashmal may be a great fight in all of IBO but I think Mikazuki vs Carta Issue or Mikazuki's last stand are still the best of the best. The former started tekkadan's true mission while the latter signifies the end they have all been looking for.

One that is Heresy you left out was Musashi's Last Stand from Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo. Musashi, piloting a Getter Robo by himself, holding off the Dinosaur Empier and their Mechasaurus troops. Its a beautiful animated rendition of the scene from the original Getter Robo and the ending is just *chef's fucking kiss*.

I feel that Domon vs Master Asia should have been much higher on the list because of the emotional impact the final fight between them held. Also, how could Team Dai Gurren vs Anti-Spiral not be number 1? the Anti-Spiral use an attack that is literally quoted to be on par with the birth of the universe in terms of sheer power. I'm not complaining about number 1 being a Gundam battle, its just that Gurren Lagann's last battle literally had them fight on a galaxy.

Genesic GaoGaiGar vs. Palparepa Prajna from the FINAL OVA should have been added to this list for at least in the top 3 greatest mecha fights yes, I liked the emotional turmoil between GaoFighGar vs. Repli-GaoGaiGar but this fight is just much more RAW >Guy berating the cowardice nature of Planetary Masters of Sol >Symbolism of Devil vs God >Genesic wrecking the shit out of Planetary Master of Sol Member and Guy's counterpart Palparepa despite having double power-ups and a regenerating buff thanks to Pisa Sol and who couldn't love that Genesic charging up his HELL & HEAVEN finisher while beating the crap out of Palparepa while Kohei Tanaka's Yuukiari Tatakae plays is just chills >Palparepa ejecting out of his mech and managed to stab Guy but he also managed to get hold of his Louder G-stone from his right and says "THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE POWER OF VICTORY WHEN THOSE WITH COURAGE POSSESS A G-stone!" tremendously nailed Guy's VA Nobuyuki Hiyama and just rips it's out like a true badass

If you've watched the Gundam series up to Char's Counterattack, Nu Gundam vs Sazabi means SO MUCH. Seeing that at #13, and under several other Gundam fights, is just depressing. I think that Gundam Unicorn vs. Neo Zeong should have been in the list as well as Unicorn vs Banshee, and/or vs Sinanju. As for the question of what I want to pilot, I would like pilot Phenix, it is Unicorn and Banshee on steroids!!! So much faster, stronger and more maneuverable and more powerful than the others combined. That probably why you don't see it in the original series, it would have decimated Sinanju before he even had a chance to get Neo Zeong, but it would have been nothing to it either!

Never been a mecha fan tbh, but Voltron was the only one(if considered anime that I ever really enjoyed) also code Geass! As the concept is really similar to deathnote(which is my favorite anime) if u remove the Mecha part!
