Wow, what a great idea. I use it to learn accompaniment on bouzouki. Thank you so much!

Glad you find these useful! I don't write in chords -- you can use your own ideas to figure out chord patterns in the key. A nice approach to backing trad tunes is to start with very simple progressions the first time through a tune, then add some more changes the second or third time through. If you haven't checked out Chris Smith's book "Celtic Backup for All Instrumentalists," I highly recommend it!

@@BenjaminHockenberry I agree with you about chords. There are many ways to accompany a tune. I always start with the 3 chords trick. Then you can try out other chords. That's why I often find it annoying when there are chords above the notes, although it can sometimes help if you have no idea where to go with the accompaniment. And yes, this book really is helpful.

Brilliant idea. Scroll to the bottom and choose which tune to listen to. Then speed the play by 1.5 or 2, found in the three dotted option box in KZbin screens. Very well thought out. Fully enjoyed.
