Mew2king(Jason) really defines what it means to be a young prodigy in melee, not so much what it means to be a TOP level pro player, other than when He is IN TOURNAMENT, And it is really a testament to how much fun he's able to have with the game, despite how sad, and tilted he is at times during rough patches

I don't think so. The prodigy was Mang0. Jason was known to be unremarkable in his tournament days and had to grind like crazy to become good.

You’d remember that for a good period his name was known but he wasn’t taken seriously. Jason played for years and was trashed by the mid-top players. Compared to Mang0, who within months of being on the scene was making people shake in their boots. Unlike Jason, when Mang0 played the top players, he was beating them. You can disagree but you just aren’t recalling how things actually were. And in case you think this is some kind of Mang0 bananarider comment, Jason has always been and will always be my absolute favorite. In fact I think Jason not being a prodigy and instead working up to his level of proficiency is part of why I love him so much.

@@thegoodgeneral Sure there was the period where Jason was first starting out, I think you exagerrate just how long Jason was criticized and called things like "The robot" He earned that nickname because he was very predictable and stuck to the same flowchart for a couple of years, but this period was short-lived, from 2005 to 2007 are the only years Jason was referred to as being bad, or "unremarkable" but from then on he was certainly Godlike, and even before 2007 my point is, and my explanation for calling him a prodigy is because even then he had incredible tech-skill and his gameplay showed phenomenal promise

I've had more zero to deaths in Chess than Melee. Though in Melee it is at local level I zero to death decent players. At Chess my opponent resigns when I have all my pieces on the board. Legit resign from my stronger position. That's what any player wants to achieve.
