Both the Hampster Dance and Cotton Eye Joe were songs I grew up with and what everyone was listening to. I'll admit that when the Hampster Dance first came out, I loved it but soon got over it. And yes, every once in awhile I listen to it.

not to be rude, and i mean this sincerely, you look absurd and senseless saying willow smith has no talent- i'm not sure if you've heard her recent music and her voice these days, but she objectively is a good, if not phenomenal vocalist as of late, and to claim otherwise is certainly a choice. she checks a lot of boxes of having a great voice. also, while "whip my hair" is nothing outstanding, it's not bad. it's just a fun pop song. and since it's legitimately sang by a 9 year old is impressive to say the least. this video is flat out hateful and filled with ignorance, while i can't say i like every song on this list, might even despise some actually, i can't act like my opinion is objective, people who look at something and go "i don't like it" then act like it's an objective opinion just never will be taken seriously to me, or most people to be honest.

Hamster Song actually used "Whistle Stop" from Disney's Robin Hood. It was the scatting part that got used and sped up. As for this list, I liked "Rockstar" - it was more overplayed - and liked "Look What You Made Me Do". As for "You're Beautiful", James Blunt admitted it wasn't a love song. It was about him getting high and then seeing his ex-girlfriend with a new dude at the subway, and he had been trying to win her back before he saw that scene. He admitted stalking the girl!

I love and frequently listen to most of the songs on this list. Admittedly Friday was snapped the hit I thought it would be when I first hurt my friend singing it, and my humps does get a little repetitive, math to mention I try to avoid it on my phone when it pops up every now and then. A lot of these songs are actually kinda often overlooked. Some can be annoying ("Selfie," for sure) but others are kinda unfairly hated on. One example is "Friday," (not exactly a masterpiece, but it was really just the auto tune that was the problem). Really, a lot of these are here as something the majority love to hate on, than something hated individually.
