This is a great list. Celeste and Jesse Forever affected me particularly, because my husband and I got married young. We were having issues similar to the film, and I thought about leaving because it seemed like things couldn't be fixed. I ultimately didn't, because we love one another and it was worth saving. My heart breaks every time I watch it, because I hate to think that I could have thrown away a life with my best friend and would have to see him move on with someone else because I gave up. Blue Valentine reminded me of my parents, so that one really gets to me as well. They managed to work things out, which makes me really proud of them. Also, I was surprised by how much I loved The Big Sick.

I watched La La Land with my sister a couple of years ago for the first time. I was shocked and sad over the ending. But I also admired how it went off the whole “happily ever after” cliche like many movies like it do. It’s a really good and realistic story that has beautiful sets, costumes and songs.

Tried three times to watch La La Land truly wanting to like it, but nope.
@cinderbelle222 жыл бұрын
I liked La La Land, but the ending made no sense. People said it was "realistic", but what other part of that movie was realistic?! I expected a fantasy ending because it was a fantasy! Anyway, a "realistic" ending would be them using modern contraptions such as cell phones and airplanes to continue their relationship! It's not like they lived in the 1800s or couldn't afford it being as successful as they were.
